BashMe1: Continuation of the already started Lagos projects is wah we want. We r on the right track already.... i do not expect Ambode to have talked much bur to leverage on the mapped project already.
APC All the way. I stay in surulere. Forget the hype, with what Lagos makes every month Fashola has done nada! The state makes money from taxing everyone for everything, including the roads! Yet we still have shanty towns springing up everywhere. See the Lagos secretariat in Ikeja, the place is a cesspit of corruption! APC corruption and nepotism. And u want another 8years of that? |

Truth is that even the soldiers are yearning for change. If Jonathan is re elected, we might just have a coup in Nigeria. Our boys are tired of getting killed like chickens everyday. Plus when they complain, they're court martialed or sentenced to death. It can't continue! |

MansaMoussa: There is widespread Genocide because the FG has no clear focus on what to do with the insurgency(and that's as a result of denial) We've shouted ourselves hoarse in other Forums on how best to handle this Menace! Why don't we have Pakistanis, Algerians, Egyptians, Sri Lankans etc who have had experience in CT-COIN operations in Terrains that are similar to ours as advisers instead of Israelis?
I have been to Maiduguri before and like most Northern Towns, it is characterized by sparsely populated small isolated villages miles away from each other! For an Insurgency that defines victory by the Number of Civilians it kills, why expose more civilians to them? If the NA kills a Million BH guyz, it will hardly make news, but if BH kills 100People in one Village, the whole world knows! So the No.1 thing I expected the Govt to do was to Starve BH of cheap targets during the Campaign! Egypt, Algeria, Sri Lanka, etc all did this!!!
Force Residents of Isolated Villages and Hamlets in the Outskirts of Town into more Populated Areas run by Govt were Temporary Shelters are provided, everyone is registered and documented, makeshift schools available for children and a Communal Farm for Adults to plough! Then Fortify such Places, making it virtually Impossible for BH to attack! Essentially creating a Refugee Camp for your citizens and adopting a Scorch Earth policy for your Enemies Then Air Patrol can spot out BH convoys easily and call for Mop Up!!!
But No!!! We allowed this People to flee by themselves to Maiduguri, Adamawa, Cameroun, Chad etc Sleeping in the Cold, Begging, Bitter! Haba!!!!!
If we cannot defeat BH, we should at least be able to manage the Battle space!!!
Everyday, We see New Reasons to believe some people don't want the Insurgency to End!!! Pulling out your citizens from your territory is the same as conceding defeat. Who monitors these towns after they are evacuated? Wouldn't it be easier for Boko Haram to move in and assume control over the evacuated towns? |

Terrorists attack a surburb in France and kill 17- French authorities analyse the attack, track the killers and execute them within days. Media worldwide sympathises with France. Peace walk is organised to show solidarity. Victims are given state funerals. France vows "Never again!"
Terrorists attack an entire town in Nigeria and kill 2000 - Nobody hears till days later. Government and media argue back and forth over casualty figures. Government condemns foreign media reportage of attacks. Nigerians forms conspiracy theories about foreign media reportage of attacks. President pretends like nothing happened and continues his re election campaign, even has time to marry off his niece. Amnesty international is so irked about the governments denial, they release satellite images to prove the attack did take place. |

His only claim to fame is being Tinubus choice, his houseboy. Lagosians please reject any houseboy governor. Tinubu is not the God of Lagos! |

Acidosis: Illiterate, unlike the good people of America and their soldiers, the Nigerian military has been compromised! Some of "our" generals are Boko haram sympathizers. Only a f00lish president will run to Chibok or Bama while we all know some northern soldiers, dwellers, kids, parents, and their commanders work for Boko haram.
You can go and die in Chibok if you really want to claim civility. Look who's calling me an Illiterate. Weah96: You don't listen too well, do you? US media is in business to make money. They're not interested in integrity or philanthropy and only publish stories that increase their ratings. It isn't the intention of CNN to draw attention to this crisis. It's just another sensationalized story that will distract people long enough so that Nielsen can log the viewer for the ratings. Lets not even stray off topic. 2000 Nigerians died less than a week ago and we were all busy sending marriage proposals to Buhari's daughter. Now that the west is trying to draw some attention to the massacre, we're screaming conspiracy cos of a silly typo. How else do u define foolîshness? |

Weah96: I live in the hood in Atlanta. Population demographic is 100% black around here. That's how I figured out that unseen forces have been trying to indoctrinate black people about Africa.
Africa is bad, but the whole continent of Africa doesn't look like a village as the media would like people to believe. They're afraid of the possibility that black Americans might want to contribute. That's why they always describe the continent as a lost cause, so that black Americans can immediately become discouraged from doing anything to help.
Who wants to help people that live in mud huts, and walk around half naked on unpaved roads? Its discouraging. They would need too much help.
Care is taken by the US media to not give out the impression that Africa is making ANY sort of progress in any area. If in this day and age u believe there's a grand conspiracy to keep Africans down, then u have no business living in a first world country. Pack ur bags and come back home and live amongst people that share ur belief that they're condemned to ignorance cos they're African, like the lot here on nairaland. |
