Hello everyone

Please I checked my portal today and saw that it was updated to say they have received my additional documents. I didn’t send them any additional document.

I however submitted my PR application yesterday don’t know if it’s linked

My visa details has also been uploaded on my tracker since May 23rd

Speak to any one in immigration they will give you visa on approval letter that baby will use to come back. Nigerian immigration

Hello Everyone as my way of giving back to the thread

I gave birth last month and I’m back in Nigeria. Got in with a Uk visa. I was also able to get an agent from Nigeria who helped me with the process. Her fees were less than what others were charging by half.Giving birth in Mexico is cheap however a lot of these agents charge between $4000 for getting you a hospital and assisting with babies passport and PR and minimum of $2500 for documents alone. These are all exclusive of hospital bills, accommodation, Govt fees for PR etc.

At point of entry wear something big and have your return ticket.

Also there are constraints about getting documents if your spouse is not with you, this is what I experienced, however the agent helped me navigate it and I was able to get my Pr and babies passport however I will advice your spouse be there even if it just to do the documentation process.

Mexico is a good place to give birth and they are very friendly set of people even with the language barrier.

It’s also better to start the process of getting your PR immediately you arrive Mexico cause it’s almost a 1month and a half wait time for appointments.

I had my baby in Mexico last month. At the point of entry I had my return ticket, Airbnb accommodation.

All I was asked was if I was here for tourism I said Yes and they stamped me in.

So yes I had my baby and I am back to Naija with my baby passport and my PR.
Working with my agent and Lawyer so I can get my passport after I complete the mandatory 2 years stay. Till then I am now a citizen of two countries and I am proud of my self.
To those who wants to take same journey I say it is well worth it.

Please how long does it take your biometrics to be updated on the portal

I have done biometrics in 2018, so didn’t need to do again. I did a family application recently I noticed my husbands biometrics has been updated but mine hasn’t been updated. Don’t know if it’s because I changed my name last year and my biometrics was done with my maiden name.

Please what do you advise.

I got my France visa early February with the plan of traveling to mexico. Glad to say I just arrived Cancun Mexico no questions asked just how long I plan to stay and Gbam welcome to Mexico.
I am here for Child birth and will be updating as time permits me.
Not been easy process plus the flight is the longest I have taken but hey it’s worth it.
So yes guys I finally arrived yesterday.

Guy I think the embassy is calling people for interview a month before their travel date, applied this Feb got interview date for May cause travel date is in June

It might be best to put a travel date that is close sha, they are also issuing 1 year visas from what I have been told of late

Apply on time and don’t state a travel date that is far in the future.

I submitted my passport back to TLS on Friday Got collection mail today.

Visa issued for myself and Family Members
Biometric Date: Nov 15th

It could only be God, I was a bit worried but God came through.

Hello Dupsy.... Congratulations on your Visa. You will need to visit TLS and submit your passport. They will send it down to the British High Commisision for stamping and return back to you. They will also let you know when to come pick up via text & mail.

So I mailed UkVi as advised I got a response that a decision had been made on my application and TLS would contact me when my passport is ready for pick up. I emailed back saying the passport was with me already as I had requested it when Nigeria was added to the red list. They closed my case without any further response and said I should pay again and open an new case.

My question is who is to mail me to submit the passport TLS or UKVI, not sure what to do.

Yours is next in line. As regards your question, I feel you shld get intouch with UKVI via paid mail or call them midnight and ask them what you need to do as per when to return the passport. They will def give you the best advice in that regards.

I did my Biometrics Nov 15th, however when they added Nigeria to the Red list and stated that we can collect our passports back while they work on the application. I collected mine back.

I don’t know if it’s because we are yet to submit the passport back a decision is yet to be made on the application.

Do you think I should submit my passport back or just wait for outcome of the decision before submitting my passport. I have an exam coming up and I need my passport so I don’t want it getting trapped with them again.

Please advise could not returning the passport back cause delays in making a decision. Also they stated that we have 3months to use the passport and return it back or the application would be treated as null and void.

New reader here please how do I download the TLS App from the App Store, I use an iPhone. If I can get a screen shot of the app it would be helpful. I have tried but it’s just TLS contact for Italy I keep seeing.

Also given the new red list is it possible to ask that I retrieve my passport whenever they make a decision I can submit the passport.in other words I want to collect my passport without cancelling my application.

Please your assistance would be highly appreciated
