The President made the statement while fielding questions during a joint press conference with the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel.

The Nigeria’s President said Nigeria does not support illegal migration, which is why the country has been repatriating its citizens from Libya and other African countries.

man was rushed to a hospital in Kano with a large nail sticking out of his neck in Kano state.

The man identified as Alhaji Auwalu was reportedly stabbed in the throat by thieves who tried to rob him. The nail pierced one side of his throat and came out of the other side.



Though he lost a lot of blood, he survived and was rushed to Aminu Kano teaching hospital. What’s surprising is that the injured man looked so calm as he waited in the hospital to be treated.

Legal practitioners and civil society organizations have condemned President Muhammadu Buhari’s statement at the opening ceremony of the Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) on Monday.

The President, in his speech, told lawyers to put national security over and above the rule of law.

Reacting, Ebun-olu Adegboruwa, in a statement on Tuesday, said Buhari’s declaration was a great set back for Nigeria’s democracy and national development.

He mentioned that: “National Security has no definition, it has no limit; it is amorphous and panders to individual discretion. It is the rule of the Executive Arm of Government alone, being the one responsible for policy implementation and the determination of security imperatives.

Report has been brought of a woman who abandoned her baby daughter in the bush…

The woman is alleged to come from Kabwe region of Zambia, she dumped her baby daughter in a nearby bush with a note saying she is tired of life and that she cant take it anymore because she comes from a poor background.

Apparently, she left a note behind, which reads,



“I have reached a point where I have to abandon my daughter. I have not received any support from the father or family. I am a poor person and I hope a good Samaritan will adop her. Her name is Purity.God bless you,”

The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration will continue to focus on the common man and taking Nigerians out of poverty through social investment programmes.

Osinbajo gave the assurance during a town hall meeting on Tuesday in Bariga/Somolu LCDA in Lagos State to felicitate with Lagosians on the Sallah celebrations.

Angry Youths Sets Magistrate Court on Fire in Imo State.

Some youths have reportedly set ablaze a Magistrate Court in Orlu, Imo State.

The youths, which were about 20 in number, invaded the court, which shares the same compound as the Orlu High Court.

The fire is alleged to have destroyed documents in the court before it could be put out.


Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, Andrew Enwerem, confirmed the incident.

According to him, the cause of the arson had not yet been ascertained as investigations are ongoing.
