olapluto: With all due respect, the games in England are not as tough as the games in our local league. Oshoala said this after playing few games in Liverpool colours. I will think the six strikers are : Oparanozie, Oshoala, Sunday Ordega, Sarah Michael, Perpetua. The last spot is up for grabs amongst the newbies. The tactical approach of the game of soccer often come from the selection process of the players. I do not know much about Sarah Michael and the case of Nkwocha for me is bordered on her age however the height of Uchechi Sunday with her canny ability as a striker must be a welcome presence on Nigerian side. In addition, Ini Umotong and Chinwedu Ihezuo must be on this team. I would not mind dropping Loveth Ayila and C. Dike. Nigeria’s opponents in FIFA 2015 Canada are going to brace up for a physical game therefore Nigeria should be equally ready for such encounter. |

dodobytes: I wouldn't put my money on Esther Sunday making d team, with d calibre of players she is up against,I personally won't pick her in my team,I think it will be between Uchechi Sunday n Sarah.Dike may be dropped sef. I must say that Esther Sunday is one of the most gifted soccer players on the Falcon team. Sometimes she is carried away by the moment of the game and would want to score rather than pass the ball to a well positioned team mate. She should be on the team. |

pak: Please, I do not intend to join issues in the main discussion of this thread for now but we need to set a record straight..... Ilaje LGA in Ondo state is one of the major oil producing areas in Nigeria and it is in Yoruba land. Infact crude oil was first discovered in Araromi (a village in Ilaje land) by the Germans in 1908. As against Oloibori as claimed, it was just that commercial exploration didn't start immediately there
Cc: whitecat1 Germans did not explore for crude oil in Nigeria or the protectorates. Shell D'Arcy started exploration in the protectorate in what is known today as Ondo in 1948. |

Maple: Democracy is a game of numbers, deal with it. One or two out of those 19 states, is/are the size and population of the whole 5 SE states put together. If anything the "hausas" deserve more states. So my friend, others do have sense of entitlement too, yet they aint complaining. I guess not when the soldiers from northern region of Nigeria carved up the country into states basically according to their tribal interest. It is only an idiotic ninny would think population is the only criterion in creation of a state. State creation must taken into consideration the mechanics of democracy. We shall definitely deal with it. |

Ndiigbo did not have a separate army in Nigeria yet some deluded maggots still refer to January 15, 1966 coup in Nigeria as Igbo because the idiotic BBC said so. There have been many subsequent coups in Nigeria yet none of the coups has been named after any ethnic group. Ndiigbo knew the ulterior motives of British government and its agent named BBC in Nigeria during the 60s. |

Ur post is similar to that of PEJ who said to the hausas that ''we have nothing to do with the pple from that side'' only if she wz sensible enoff to realise that the hausas are the most populated and has a whooping 19 states out of 36 . You have the audacity to write that Hausa have 19 states out 36 in Nigeria yet you talk about democracy in Nigeria. |

Abeg, let's not start something that will lead us nowhere. Your ibo soldiers fuvcked up and the ibo race faced the consequences. Finito!

A coup not because his tribes men killed northerners but because of his indecisiveness because he was shielding Nzeogwu and Okafor from been punished for their crimes and haven read the attached books I'm telling you that even the Igbo Author knew all Ironsi had to do was execute Major Okafor and Nzeogwu. Which is not an outrageous demand. Now for you to think one region can single handedly carry out coup against the whole country is just laughable.
See ehn you pple should just stop shifting blames abeg enlighten yourself The writer of the above crap is one of the major reasons Nigeria will continue to remain under develop. Ironsi cannot just execute coup plotters when such action was not warranted in the constitution or even in the army code of conduct. Ironsi constitute an armed forces panel that included acting IGP to investigate issues about the coup including anybody who was not arrested. |

dodobytes: Our central defence pairing isnt the best in the world too...i think Ohale is a bit average for me,and can be caught gaping on a good day.
Onome..,positionally she has got it,but like i mentioned earlier against pacy strikers, she may be beaten for it.
Another thing i have noticed is that our central defenders dont look too assured when they have the ball,i rarely see them trying to play out, always too quick to release the ball to a teammate or clear to safety. That calm assured presence that a confident defender has when on the ball,i would like to see it at the world cup.
Sharp strikers know when defenders are trying to play safe, they are like sharks, when they smell blood, they will zone in on you.If you try to play safe as a defender, the opposing attacker will force you to make errors and they will punish you for it. The one weakness in the Falcon lies with the central defense. I had thought the coaches would have invited Gladys Abasi as they did with Mariam Ibrahim. The exposure would have helped to improve her game. The two players are the young, up and coming central defenders for the Falcon. |

Sports › Re: Super Falcons of Nigeria Thread: 2015 Women's World Cup by Duru1(m): 8:50pm On Apr 25, 2015 |
CFCfan: Central defense would suit her only because she's got pace. Standing at 5'7'', she could get beaten in the air by Swedish and American players who are 5'10"/5'11", especially Abby Wambach. If she can out jump them, she will be fine. This is the reason the team should include players with height as midfielders. |

dodobytes: going forward (attacking),the falcons look comfortable..pls can we brainstorm on how to tighten dat defence?
let's pick holes and try to suggest fixes,I personally am not comfortable with njoku..she has good long passes though, but her recovery is suspect, her tackles aren't too neat..n I also feel her temperament too might need attention.
I feel we should try out other full backs, pls who was d falcons no 1 right full back n why was she dropped? Njoku is a tough young girl and Falcons need her in that position. Yes sometimes her tackling is a borderline reckless. Again, this is where the coaching comes into play. In fact, I think the team is missing Helen Ukaonu on the left side of the field including the dynamite she packs on legs. |

CFCfan: If Perpetua plays a WC game, she could be the oldest Nigeria/African player to appear at a world cup.
Meanwhile, US captain Christine Rampone, would become the oldest player to appear in a WC game. She would 39 years and 11 months by the time the Americans face Australia in their first game. Bros let us not compare USA with Nigeria. There are more technology involved in the USA team than Nigeria's, if any, at all. Few players on USA team are married and even given birth yet play football. In Nigeria ordinary getting engaged, the player will eat herself out of shape. |

she no doubt has d energy, but dat may work against her.cos she might want to always force things to happen herself..by taking on her markers n doing her short bursts.instead of calming play down, drawing opposition players to urself and letting ordega/oparanozie/dike do d damage.
personally I think perpetua can play a big role in that tie..she can be d calming influence in that midfield on d day

Besides individual skills, the coaches should also consider the size as well as players who can trade in more than one position. Hence I have the following players as a final team and probable. GK Dede, Whyte, Ohieriaku DF Ebi, Ohale, Njoku, Chukwunonye, Ebere, Ibrahim MF Ayinde, Ohaduagha, Okobi, Nwabuoku, Igbinovia, Ihezuo, Ayila FW Ordega, Oparanozie, Oshola, Esther, Uchechi, Umotong, Dike.
Probable Michael, Ikidi, Ukaonu, Nku, Nnodim, Okoye |

londongal03: My ppl stop fooling yourself with Nigeria, read the evil planned against you. SOUTHEAST SHOULD BE CAREFUL I am a soldier, I will not give my name for the sake of my life . my message is simple, I can't stop myself from letting people understand the danger they are in,in Nigeria (especially those in the southeast),after my fellow soldiers here in southern Kaduna, Kaduna state, yesterday being Sunday 08 march, invaded a church and killed innocent Christian youths guarding their church against suicide bombers from gaining access in to the church compound during their church service. My conscience keeps judging me for not letting people know what I know. I am a christian but here in the military camp, I dare not let them know about this or I will be on the next troop heading to confront Boko Haram without enough rains of ammunition to fight them and certainly will get killed . most of our men deployed to fight Boko Haram are christian soldiers from the eastern and southeastern part of the country ,I cry inside me each time they leave the camp to confront Boko Haram as most of them don't make it back alive and nobody cares to retrieve their body from Boko Haram .messages are set to their families back in the far eastern part of the country that they killed in a car accident and I wonder why their families don't demand for the bodies of their children they claim where involved in a car accident ,what a pity. The reason why I want people to know this ,is not because of all that had happened to Christians all over this country but because of the things they are going to face very soon , I must confess that Christians don't respond to dangers approaching them until they all die , they think that God will come down from heaven to defend their life instantly but that is not true because I am a christian also ,from kano state .Nobody suspect that I am a christian because I am from the North and they think that all Northerners are Muslim but that is not true .The message is that Boko Haram men are all over Nigeria now believe it or not, Boko Haram has also joined ISIS (Islamic State) in the Arab world and I don't know if the christian people understand what that means .150 women recently have been beheaded by ISIS and most of the women where discovered to be pregnant women ,Boko Haram is expected to carry out the same thing since they have pledged allegiance to ISIS, this is just an introduction ,the main message is that 6 years ago , Boko Haram young members joined the Nigeria Defense Academy like ordinary citizens showing interest to gain admission ,join any of the arm force for the defense of the Nation but that was not the reason ,60% of them gained admission and graduated . Recently , that group have been deployed to the eastern part of the country along with few genuine soldiers , their mission is simple and they will carry it out once the order comes . many people may see them as ordinary soldiers but the truth is that 90% of the soldiers in every checkpoint and camps in the eastern part of the country are Boko Haram members in army uniforms ,they are soldiers but their mission is different from others . please my christian brothers be wise . you may be wondering how I got this information , remember I am from the North , the northerners are not considered Christians here even when some of us are.It will interest you to know that many of our soldiers here are working for Boko Haram , not because they like them but because of the money they are been paid by the Boko Haram for every information and attacks the soldier themselves carry against Christians and the Government cannot provide the soldiers with such money . Do not see all Northerners as bad people , some of us are good but it is very difficult to tell so I don't blame anyone that think that we are all the same . For me I know that I will die because the Boko Haram are getting more help and resources than we the soldiers. Please help me to save people that I can not save as soldier by spreading this message to save livesk especially those in the southeast before the order gets to Boko Haram soldiers there . I will be happy in heaven for your good works if I die . I copied it and share with you, please do the same too, wake-up my ppl. Nigeria has elected one as a president. If the Ndiigbo in particular and southeasterners in general do not understand their precarious position in the Nigeria then they should pay the price of ignorance. |
