This nation is blessed with enormous mineral/natural resources, yet we suffer. Like someone once said, "Nigerians have absolutely no business being poor". Imagine leasing Nigeria to China for ten years. They would turn this nation into one of the richest and most powerful nation in the world. I wonder when we are ever going to get it right. |

soe: There are better ways to handle this matter than APC is doing. I mean, it is 100% clear to even a daft person! that Saraki, Dogara and their team are not APC members...push them out the way you are doing and PDP will become the Majority In the National Assembly.
That's why I miss OBJ.
OBJ will sit down quietly and write down the names of his silent enemies...no noise o. OBJ will not disagree with him in public o. OBJ will not even interfere in their matter o. OBj will calculate all their moves from start to finish line. OBJ will even give them food and juice to be comfortable...if you know what I mean...
Just one last card, land him a juicy mango...send all sort of corruption his way....Kai....nab him like hell...but cry with him.....
I swear, you will win both his friends and enemies...leaving him useless at the end...
APC needs a strategist...not this ones I am seeing here...who is Saraki...we all know what can finish Saraki...give it to him na That is why i like OBJ. Buhari needs to learn one or two things from OBJ. |

Could you show me where he was quoted to have ordered Saraki and Dogara to accept candidates? Change2015: After the fake article re saraki calling the VP 'common commissioner' Sahara Reporters needs to examine it's own conscience. They joined the anti-Saraki propaganda war and lost. Further comment by SR on this issue only betrays the lopsided nature of the 'journalism' they practice.
#change #PMB #APC Considering the recent events, why on earth would it surprise anyone that Saraki actually referred to the VP as a mere commissioner? |
Politics › Re: My Opinion On APC Senate And House Of Reps Leadership Debacle by dustmalik(m): 4:56pm On Jun 25, 2015 |
omenka: You put it perfectly. It is better for Buhari and APC if the retained the support of the generality of the electorates and damn the consequences of losing Saraki, Dogara et al. The Governors who tend to be the next major power brokers after the president all are in agreement with the principle of party supremacy which is where the presidency and the party is leaning towards.
These guys are just flexing biceps because elections are still somewhat far off but they would never notice the passage of time as they bask in the euphoria presently going on in NASS. When the time comes for a return to the chambers, the governors would still be the ones in control of the party delegates and we would have the same recalcitrant congressmen come grovelling at their feet for support. That is when the party would take its own pound of flesh if they chose to remain in the party or the party allows them to stay. Should they decamp, the same power tussle as is being witnessed now would consume all of them. The old guard in PDP wouldn't wanna relinquish power to the new comers from APC, moreso because they've learnt a thing or two about betrayal.
Buhari simply needs to concentrate on delivering on his promises and retain the loyalty of the party and her governors, and mend whatever damages exists between him and Tinubu. ^^^ What he said. |

But we all know the kind of politicians we have in this country. Buhari should have known better than not to intervene. Especially seeing as Saraki was going about the whole thing. |

If I may ask, is Speaker Yakubu Dogara empowered to do that for the PDP House Caucus
Source:http://saharareporters.com/2015/06/25/why-we-fought-floor-house-reps-today-zangon-daura This is a logical question. The answer is a BIG, resounding NO. So why did the speaker go against the Party’s and the house Caucus's wish? Afterall, he is the leader of the house of Representatives, not the leader of the APC. |

Now get these to ur pumped up egoism and learn wisdom:
THE STATE OF NIGERIA'S ACCOUNT BASES SINCE DEMOCRATIC INCEPTION.
1. PRESIDENT OLUSEGUN OBASANJO (1999-2007) EXTERNAL DEBT: Inherited: $30 billion Cleared : $18 billion Paid: $ 12 billion Dollars Left: $3,348.22bn-2007 http://www.financialnigeria.com /development /developmentreport_category_item _detail.aspx?categoryid=5& item=174
FOREIGN RESERVE Inherited: $3.7 billion (1999) Left: $45.0 billion (2007)
NB: As at 2003, Oil Price Per Barrel was $30 and it was at $90 when he left.
2. UMARU MUSA YAR ADUA (2007 - 2009)
EXTERNAL DEBT: Inherited: $3,348.22 billion Left: $3.94 billion Dollars http://www.dmo.gov.ng /oci/News/docs/Fact%20on %20%20Nigeria%20External%20D ebt%20Stock.pdf
EXTERNAL RESERVE Inherited: $45.0 billion GrewTo: $63 billion in September, 2008 http://www.nigerianmuse.com /20090102021223zg/nigeria- watch/nigeria-s-foreign-reserves- dip-to-52-7-billion/
Left: $47. 7 billion (As at Dec 31st 2009 when Jonathan took over as "Overseer" ) http://www.vanguardngr.com /2011/03/state-of-nigerias- external-reserves-worrisome- cipm-president /#sthash.cXXdNcoU.dpuf
N/B: The reserve grew when the price of Crude Oil was $147 per barrel It Slided in Mid 2008 during the recession, when the crude price fell to $35 per barrel in 2009, till his death.
3. PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN:
EXTERNAL DEBT Inherited: $3.94 billion Dollars As At Now:$9.3 billion Dollars http://www.dmo.gov.ng /oci/edebtstock /docs/External%20Debt%20Stock% 20as%20at%2030th%20June_%2 02014.pdf
FOREIGN RESERVE: Inherited: $47. 7 billion (As At December 31st, 2009) As At Now: $30.BILLION http://www.cenbank.org/intops /Reserve.asp N/B: Of the $9.3 billion EXTERNAL DEBT,Federal Government’s owes $6.36b, while ALL 36 States plus FCT owes $3.0 billion As at 2010, Oil Price was at $89 per barrel As at 2011, It was $103 per barrel As at Now it is $100 per barrel
http://en.wikipedia.org /wiki/World_oil_market_chronolo gy_from_2003
Meaning, Jonathan have access to more money than Yar Adua, but he depleted the Foreign Reserve and stil Plunge Us into Further Debt With NOTHING to show.
Records at the Debt Management Office now show that the latest domestic debt of the Federal Government as of March 31, 2015 had risen to N8,507,545,474,000 (N8.51tn). This means that in the last five years, the Federal Government had borrowed N5.04tn from domestic lenders. It also means that within the period, the domestic debt of the Federal Government grew by 157.48 per cent, with virtually NOTHING to show for it.
So, when people are talking there is virtually no money left, you should ask or read to understand why, not being arrogant and puffy!
Goodluck! Don't mind the senseless dolts. |
