Politics › Re: The North Are Parasite by dustydee: 2:15pm On Mar 04, 2012
Parasites? Is it only oil we have in tnis country? what about gold, agriculture, lead, precious stones, uranium gypsum etc? Why hasn't the government developed them or allowed investors to?Netherlands has no oil but is better than Nigeria, talk about poland, india, Hungary, Botswa and so on. You don't need oil to be a wealthy nation.
Politics › Re: North Ready For Nigeria’s Breakup–junaid Mohammed by dustydee: 2:08pm On Mar 04, 2012
Today, an Ijaw man is the president, everything that happens; you say it is the Ijaws. But 99% of Ijaws today are not and do not enjoy anything out of the Goodluck Presidency, and the same thing had happened when Northerners were in charge. Now, the world is telling us poverty itself is Northern phenomenon and that 90% of the poor in Nigeria are from the North. That, in fact, we have a skewed system of income distribution whereby those of us who are 62 % of the population and constitute 72% of the land mass have a per capital income of 200 dollars per annum.
I like this point even though I do not agree with all that he said. We talk about a president coming from a particular region when we should focus on a prsident that has the interest of the country at heart. If we expect good governance then we should not care where a person comes from or his religion because he will treat all equally.

Every region has what it takes to survive but we will be stronger and better off together with good leaders.
Education › Re: Uniport No Be School by dustydee: 8:37pm On Mar 03, 2012
Truth be told some lecturers in Nigerian universities take pleasure in "failing" students. Thank God I never came across such in my department but there were definitely some in my school. You only make life tougher for the students when they graduate as most positions are only open for 2.1 and first class and even if a student is as good as the 2.1's and 1st class'.

Politics › Re: Annkio Briggs Call On Niger Delta & Ndi-igbo To Break Away! by dustydee: 9:58am On Feb 25, 2012
I think the call is misplaced and short sighted. Every region in Nigeria has what it takes to be prosperous our leaders are just being lazy and corrupt.
