Politics › Re: The North That Southerners Don’t Know by dustydee: 1:41pm On Apr 19, 2012
nanos: This is correct; however the North had all the opportunity to be better than the south and they blew it. How could people who ruled the country no less than 37 of 52 years be poorer for it in a country where clanishness, nepotism and an ''our-own'' mentality reign supreme?
Are you suggesting that a leader should focus on his particular section of the country and neglect others? Nigeria still has a long way to go. No wonder people kill to have the president come from their part of the country. Good leadership should be the aim not sectionalism and tribalism.

Christianity Etc › Re: Advice For Paying Tithe Needed Urgently! by dustydee: 6:20pm On Mar 25, 2012
iluvnaija: Is it right to pay TITHE to orphanage home instead of giving it to church? I am asking because I believe orphanage homes need more money to meet their needs than giving it to church where pastors seems to be living extremely large while the poor can't afford a meal. Dont get me wrong I am not try to insult pastors but just trying to be fair. I need to be schooled on this issue. I need advice urgently!
Thanks.
I think its ok if you give it to an orphanage. That's my understanding

Politics › Re: See Transcorp Hilton Food Invoice For Ms. Arunmah Oteh by dustydee: 4:45pm On Mar 20, 2012
djustice: And what exactly is wrong with this bill? From the main courses consumed, it looks like at least 6 people sat to have this meal. If that's the case, I see nothing to shout about. At these sort of hotels (frankly, I'd never expect the DG of a body of the SEC to go below this standard. I even consider it a bit low for that sort of office to be honest, but it's the best available, so, what gives?), this sort of bill is normal. In fact, it even seems relatively inexpensive, to be honest. A meal for a minimum of 6 people at one of Nigeria's top hotels came to just over 91k? That's a minor miracle! Leave this woman alone. I don't see anything wrong with this bill. People are just fishing desperately for something to hang her with!
Nobody in his/her right sense will support this. She is meant to feed herself. That amount is too much for a public official to spend and retire or claim. If you want to host your friends do it from your pocket.
Politics › Re: See Transcorp Hilton Food Invoice For Ms. Arunmah Oteh by dustydee: 4:21pm On Mar 20, 2012
jidody: No big deal. Its Transcorp Hilton and am sure she had guests that ate with her.

At least there is a receipt
so she should feed her guests on taxpayers money?
Politics › Re: See Transcorp Hilton Food Invoice For Ms. Arunmah Oteh by dustydee: 4:19pm On Mar 20, 2012
And she has the guts to complain about corruption. Even aso rock does not spend that much on a person per meal( I believe)

Politics › Re: Arunma Oteh, SEC Boss, Says House Of Reps Members Demanded N44 Million Bribe by dustydee: 9:24pm On Mar 15, 2012
soladisc: The committee chair should defend the allegation against him. she did not collect the money being accused her of, the hotel bills were bieng paid for when the commission could not provide her with accommodation when she resumed as DG. These expenses (excluding the ones fabricated by the committee chair)was not approved by her but the commissioners. Its common knowledge that to scale through a house invitation/hearing/probe you must pay your way through, a practise she refuse to succumb to.

SEC DG, the enemies are within, next time watch your back!
Really? Is it the commissions' business to provide accommodation for her for 8 months? The access bank guys- was she right to have engaged them? What is wrong is wrong whether they demanded bribe or not.

When I see some posts on NL I wonder what they teach them in social studies these days. So much ignorance. When I was serving one girl was surprised that I was from the north and a Christian. She even looked bewildered that I could speak good english.
