You people just simplistically seee every thing as North v south, black v white etal. "Aboki will always vote Aboki" myopia.

Which Northerner in the APC can even put up a decent fight against Atiku let alone be capable of defeating him as Tinubu will?

Because PDP has gone with Atiku then APC should just automatically present Namadi Sambo, if that calibre of Northerner is all they have in their rank?

Is that not mumu thinking when APC already has Tinubu, who is the Abiola of today, in their rank?

Forget your simplistic "Northerner only vote Northerner" uninformed dross.

Tinubu transcends that. You can deny it but BAT is singularly the most sagacious politician, locally and internationally, in the post 1999 history of Nigeria.

He is not Atiku's mate in Nigeria or on the world stage. Tinubu is the only African politicians that western Presidents and leaders, like Biden, Boris Johnson, Macron etal, will break protocol to subtly campaign for and anoint.

If Tinubu gets the APC ticket, the universal campaign and goodwill for BAT will even scare Atiku himself. PDP will simply be petrified into silence.

Tinubu is special and a real 24/7 giant of a politician in Nigeria, Africa and the Universe. Atiku is simply nowhere near him in profile and aura.
Sentiments aside, this is good thinking — and pragmatic to boot.

For example, they may say, "GEJ will be screened in secret," or that "he could be exempt from screening altogether," or "he would just be presented by fiat on the podium on the last day of the party's special convention as the anointed almighty Consensus candidate of the party!" grin

adioolayi:
Former President Goodluck Jonathan is not on the list of presidential hopefuls expected to be screened by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In April 2022, after supporters besieged his Abuja residence to ask him to contest the 2023 presidential election, Jonathan had not given a definite response.

“You are calling me to come and declare for the next election. I cannot tell you I’m declaring. The political process is ongoing. Just watch out,” he had said.

Days after, a northern coalition bought the APC presidential expression of interest and nomination forms for him, but the former president had denied approving the purchase.
Despite ongoing speculations on him contesting, the former president is still yet to make any definitive statement on if he will seek a return bid.

Felix Morka, APC spokesman, had said 28 presidential forms were purchased, but three persons — Chris Ngige, minister of labour; Timipre Sylva, minister of state for petroleum: and Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) — did not submit their forms.

A form was also purchased for Akinwumi Adesina, president of the African Development Bank (AfDB), but he had said he was not interested in contesting.

Below are the names of the presidential hopefuls for screening as listed by APC.

Chukwuemeja Uwaezuoke Nwajiuba
Badaru Abubakar
Robert A. Boroffice
Uju Ken-Ohanenye
Nicholas Felix
Nweze David Umahi
Ken Nnamani
Gbolahan B. Bakare

story. Look at this picture record from 2011 between Jonathan and buhari, even though ipob was still a problem they gave more than 5 million votes. Even though Jonathan is not fully Ibo, but he is still our brother. The truth is, ibos are closer to South south that youruba and Hausa. And we get majority of their vote Now imagine a full fledged Ibo man. You people be thinking the southeast no get population. Remember we are the largest in Africa. Ebonyi gave 400k, b cause Biafra was still a threat then
Look, the leveller of the general/actual numbers of votes purportedly cast or recorded prior to 2015, and since 2015, is primarily the introduction and use of the Card Reader since 2015.

That Card Reader masterstroke levelled the "votes count" playing field somewhat, and reduced the extent of fake/phantom votes significantly ever since. Simple. And I dare add, IPOB or no IPOB.

In addition, the current, improved Electoral Act (2022) holds even further promise of election results better matching the will of most voters going forward, IMO.

So, I don't think we'll see the kind of number of votes been reporter prior to 2015 again; at least not for several more years to come. The numbers will inch upwards mainly as our population grows, of course.

Lmao ...

1 year is too much of a long time to be on the bad books of the president when u are corrupt
Buhari doesn't have one year to play around with...he has barely one week to do all the magic some are conjuring up for — and maybe with — him.

Trust politicians eyeing the next dispensation from May, 2023, once Buhari's party's presidential candidate contest is settled at the end of next week, Buhari's political influence will start to wane. This will be more so if the chosen candidate is not who Buhari may have had in mind.

And to be realistic, no other person not named Muhammadu Buhari, knows who this his "anointed" candidate actually is — if "he/she" even exists, that is.

Anyway, the closer it gets to May 29, the less any magic wand can be successfully used without the possiblity of bringing forth Zamfara 2 on their party.

For good measure, Buhari was recently snubbed hard by the supposedly rubber-stamp NASS over Section 84 (12) of the now-in-effect electoral act, and heaven has not fallen. At least, not yet. Some people tend to conveniently overlook this event.

BTW, Buhari will be clueless if he assents to the latest modification to the Electoral Act meant to correct for the inadvertent omission of the normal rights of statutory delicates to vote at party meetings for elective posts!

I say that because the act still contains the Section 84 (12) Buhari is currently asking the courts to strike down. Who assents — again — to a document he's objecting to, while the case is still ongoing?

I'm not a lawyer, but I believe the courts will simply throw Buhari's case out the next time it comes up for hearing, if he again assents to the act as is, before the conclusion of the ongoing case.

Corollary: So if Buhari does sign off on the latest version of the Bill, it would mean he has given up on getting 84 (12) expunged, methinks.

But hey, we shall see.

Good luck to all sides.

PoliticsRe: Why Tinubu May Be The Best Available Presidential Candidate by duwdu: 1:43pm On May 21, 2022
membranus:
I have no apology to anybody on my political decision; but, I respect the concern and opinion of everyone.

My political decision is based on my personal conviction and conscience.

Some people called me while some sent me messages requesting to know why I am supporting Tinubu .

My response is very simple - HE IS THE BEST AMONG THE AVAILABLE FOR NOW.

I am not trying to justify bad governance.

I am not here to support and encourage corruption and godfathers.

I am not a hypocrite.

I am not a hater.

I am a realist; a humanist to the core.

Some people said Tinubu is corrupt.

I asked them to mention a politician that is vying for the post of president that is not corrupt.

Corruption is not peculiar to Tinubu alone. It is almost a culture in Nigeria.

Some people said he sold Lagos to himself.

I requested them to mention Nigerian leader that was given opportunity that didn't consider himself and his family first.

It is always me, mine, and myself in Nigeria. Do your investigation very well about privatisation and monetisation in Nigeria both at the states and national levels.

How about El-rufai and Atiku privatisation in Abuja; you have forgotten so soon.

How about Saint Buhari and the rot in PTF. Or Pastor Prof and School Feeding/Trader Money scam.

It is not unique to Tinubu alone.

They said Tinubu is playing God - godfathersm.

I told them most Nigerian leaders not only in politics, but in corporate/private, religious, traditional and other sectors play godfathersm.

Most governors from year 1999 till date tried to replace themselves with stooges.

Most of them failed. It is not Tinubu's fault that he(Tinubu) succeeded. Most Nigerians are struggling to become a political son or daughter to any godfather that would promote them - let's be honest !

Some people said Tinubu is too old. I asked them what were the benefits derived from the very young leaders (both military and civilians) that we had since 15th January 1966 coup

Aguiyi-Ironsi was young as Head of state, Gowon was young as Head of state, Murtala was young as Head of state, Obasanjo was young as Deputy and Head of state, Shagari was not an old man as President, Buhari was young as Head of state, IBB was young as Head of state, Abacha was not that old as Head of state
Abdulsalami was not too old as Head of state. Jonathan was not an old man as president . These leaders were having young Nigerians both as either military or civilian state governors, head of MDAs etc.

Orji Kalu was young as Governor of Abia state, Saraki was young as Governor of Kwara State
Donald Duke was young as Governor of Cross Rivers State, Yahaya Bello of my state - Kogi, is a disgrace to the youths and bad reference for the youth agenda.

Bello Matawalle of Zamfara probably the youngest governor at the moment, but, clueless and lack direction.
Etc

What magic have these so called young people brought to governance with their youthfulness.

Lee Kuan Yew was a Singaporean statesman and lawyer who served as Prime Minister of Singapore from 1959 to 1990, and is widely recognised as the nation's founding father. He was an old man

Age doesn't bring good governance; ideas do.

Some said Tinubu is sick. I ask who is not either physically or emotionally or mentally or ideologically sick in Nigeria.

The society and long time bad governance have frustrated most Nigerians in Nigeria. Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882–1945) was the 32nd president of the United States from 1933 until his death in 1945. He was on wheelchair; he won a record four presidential elections and became a central figure in world events during the first half of the 20th century.

Some said Tinubu is too rich and too powerful to be a president. I asked them are they looking for a poor and weak person to be Nigerian president.

I then demand they present their candidate. They told me God will bring one. Is he/she coming from Heaven.

There is God in us. God has His role while we humans also have our roles. God rules in the affairs of men.

I told them that through the instrumentality of Tinubu:

1. Lagos has the highest IGR inNigeria
2. Lagos is the economy centre/pillar of Nigeria
3. Lagos is among the fastest growing economy in Africa
4. Tinubu didn't just build roads, schools, hospital
5. Tinubu also expanded Lagos and opened Lekki, Eko Atlantic etc
6. Tinubu is a Fisher of men. He goes for potentials while your leaders go for Touts, Thugs, sycophants, mediocres, and uneducated fellows
7. Tinubu is a nationalist. He has grown beyond bigotry and conquered trivial sentiments. He is neither an ethnic champion nor a religious bigot like your leaders. He gave opportunity to everyone to grow in Lagos irrespective of his/her religion, ethnic or state he comes from.
8. Tinubu is vastly educated. Well trained professional Accountant. Politically sagacious and human philosopher
9. Tinubu fought gallantly for democracy. He fought the military. He is a brave and charismatic leader. He has paid the price for leadership
10. Tinubu has made many leaders, he is a leader of the leaders. He has large heart to forgive and accommodate betrayers

I am not saying Tinubu is the best in Nigeria, but, Tinubu is the best among those that are parading about to contest for Nigerian president come year 2023.

Please, bring your best candidate with proving and convicing superior credentials. I will support him because I need the best for Nigeria.

Stop hating Bola
Stop harassing Ahmed
Stop abusing Tinubu
Stop that envy and jealousy against Jagaban

Tinubu is the Asiwaju
Tinubu is the leader.
Tinubu is either the next president or a determinant for the next president.
Tinubu is a massive force to be reckoned with

Finally, always remember that Tinubu is a product of this bad society called Nigeria. He is a human being. He is not God and he has never assumed to be God. He is just contributing his own quota to the growth and development of Nigeria. If you have the liver like him, come out and throw your hat into the ring !

Lets all join hands without hatred to build a better Nigeria.

I rest my case for now.

Adebakin

PDP was ruling in katsina state before Buhari won APC presidential ticket in 2014.
Buhari was more of a Kaduna indigene, because that was where he mostly lived and made home. Katsina was just his ancestral home, so he couldn't have had much of a direct political influence over Katsina. Certainly not before he became President.

And as an aside according to Atiku, Buhari could hardly speak Fulfulde [the indigenous tongue of most Fulani] anyway. Going further, Atiku said that he was more Fulani than Buhari could ever be.

Besides, Buhari never ruled the state of Katsina, unlike CRA who has lost political control of his home state/geopolitical zone now for several years, even after having been at the helm of government there either as the head of the legislature or erstwhile Chief Executive continuously for decades!

That's the point.

To me, CRA does not possess the attributes of a rugged politician who can deliver meaningful votes or following.

Or every BMS will just be in its own?
Unlike with some server rack batteries as you mentioned, separate BMSes on separate banks connected in parallel, are not in communication. In fact, they don't have to be, as each BMS just takes care of its own bank the best it can.

The following video contains some relevant experience on that, in my view:

And in line with what I posted earlier, this next video demonstrates how two packs with widely different capacities, can be successfully managed in parallel by their individual BMSes. [It's been awhile since I watched the video, so do pardon me if I recollected some of the details wrong] :

If the two banks each has its own independent and quality BMS, then there should be no issues running them in parallel.

Of course, one should always ensure the two banks are in a reasonably close state of charge, just to begin with.

NiyiOmoIyunade:
I have used both JBD and JK BMS - JBD BMS were originally targeted at medical devices so quite rugged build quality and plenty fail safe features built in.

If you want a pro product with plenty flexibility, ability to talk to inverters via RS485, up to 2A active balancing then choose the JK BMS - if you have multiple BMSs in your battery bank the JK also switches between BMSs far better and smoother than JBD.

I say the JK BMS is a pro product because it does not forgive wiring mistakes and also needs a special procedure to wake up the BMS - once you can handle these two aspects you are set to go forever.

Seplos too is a good BMS with active balancer and comms but very failure prone in real life use (we are told there is a bad batch with defective parts released into the market)

I would rank the Dalys and ANTs of this world behind all these BMSs above - typically these cost more and are more quirky but I have yet to see any reason to choose them over a JK or JBD BMS for example.

I have attached screenshots from my JK BMS (current favorite) and JBD BMS respectively - as you can see they each achieve good results and keep your pack happy - the JK is the better value product of the two in my opinion.
Oga Niyi;

This your post, singlehandedly, woke me up from a ~ 18-month(?) slumber of not logging into NL... The post has "forced" me to log in again, just to give my 2 Kobo on the JK BMS! Thanks for outing it here in your usual fat-free writing style. (It's my loss anyway when I sleep on this thread. Ha.)

So guys, my own JK BMS (JK-B2A24S15P) has been flawless. All Oga Niyi wrote about the BMS is factually correct in real life and balanced, so I can add only so much. I may end up fleshing out some points, though.

To start with, the build quality of this thing is superb... what with an all metal, sleek design. It just reels premium.

The idiot proof design of its firmware cum input settings and operations paradigm, is literally a [battery] life saver. For example, the unit automatically estimates and displays the resistance across each balance wire, in real time. In the process, it picks out and highlights any potentially disruptive — even dangerous — resistances across any balance wire and stops further operations, until the danger that threw up the symptom, is sorted.

For those of us who haven't already picked out where this is going, unusual resistance across a balance wire is a sign of trouble for the battery pack as a whole. Among other things, this symptom could mean that the sequential connection of the balance wire is wrong, or it has poor connections, or internal break(s) or is otherwise bad.

Thing is, these resistances are relatively tiny and could be easily missed even during due diligence while building a pack. So, for a BMS to not only estimate and display but actually act on them in real time or at anytime the BMS is on to help avert danger, is a big plus, IMO. It's certainly not a common feature in the top BMSes I know of.

Further as Oga Niyi touched on, the active balancing function in a JK is awesome in its effectiveness and is a joy to behold in operation. Of course it's almost lossless.

Now, some of our folks may say, "but active balancing — lossy or near lossless — is not altogether advantageous to the pack, since it would work all through the charging AND discharging range?" It's nice to be able to state here that on the JK, one can set the point (in the charging/discharging voltage range of the pack,) where balancing commences/stops.

And for me, the design of the passive white-green and active red-blue letterings on a dark background as shown on the UI, is very soothing. The only other interface design that is more so for me, is the shades of blue and gray on Victron Energy gear.

I can't afford those VE gears — not brand new or yet, anyways.

But why would Oga Niyi hold all the aces nau? grin

Of course there are quarks and a learning curve to using the JK in all it's glory. For me, it's all been worth it, and I'll purchase some more.

Sorry for the wordy epistle, my friends, and many thanks to all for the thread!
