Politics“I Don’t Know If I’ll Run For President In 2027” – Atiku by DyshApp(op): 9:12am On Mar 28, 2025
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has stated that he has not yet decided whether he will contest the 2027 presidential election.

Atiku made this known during an interview on Untold Stories, a yet-to-be-aired television program hosted by Adesuwa Giwa-Osagie.

The former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) recently spearheaded the formation of a coalition of opposition leaders aimed at unseating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the next general election.
However, speculation remains over who will lead the alliance, with former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and ex-Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai being among the prominent figures considered.

When asked about his potential candidacy in 2027, Atiku responded, “I don’t know because there has to be, first of all, a viable platform, more than any other time in the political history of this country, particularly since the return of democracy.”

Despite his uncertainty, Atiku, who has contested for the presidency six times, did not rule out the possibility of running again.

“I have not seen Nigeria in such dire need of experienced and credible leadership as it is now. We had a similar merger in 2014. About three or four of us contested for president, and we all supported the one who emerged, and he won,” he added.

PoliticsTinubu’s Emergency Rule Drama Unfolds by DyshApp(op): 11:32pm On Mar 27, 2025
Alright everyone, let's talk about what's happening down in Rivers State, because it's a big deal, and it's got a lot of people talking.

Okay, here's a summary about the situation in Rivers State

President Bola Tinubu declared a state of emergency in Rivers State, a move described as dramatic and controversial. This resulted in the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy, and the entire House of Assembly. Tinubu cited a "prolonged political crisis" and security concerns as the reasons for his actions. This happened after an impeachment notice was issued against Governor Fubara. The Attorney-General admitted that the suspension might have prevented Fubara's complete removal.

The crisis began when Governor Fubara allegedly demolished the House of Assembly complex in December 2023, a move later ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in February 2025. A retired Vice Admiral has been appointed as the state administrator, raising concerns about a return to military-style solutions in a democracy. Critics argue that political dialogue would have been a better approach. They see the emergency rule as an insult to the people of Rivers State and a dangerous precedent for resolving political disputes.

The National Assembly's quick approval of the emergency rule has also been questioned, with some saying there wasn't enough debate. The six-month emergency period will give a sole administrator power to stabilize the state. However, there are concerns about how state funds will be overseen and accounted for during this time. The article emphasizes that political consensus and dialogue are crucial for resolving conflicts, and it warns against making emergency rules a normal way to handle political crises.

CelebritiesFrom Owning Billions To Bankruptcy, Indebtedness- Skit Maker Mr Macaroni Laments by DyshApp(op): 11:28pm On Mar 26, 2025
Popular Nigerian comedian, actor, and activist, Adebowale ‘Debo’ Adedayo, widely known as Mr Macaroni, has shared a deeply personal story about his past financial struggles, leading to bankruptcy, indebtedness and suffering betrayal.

In a heartfelt post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Thursday, the entertainer revealed how he became a victim of financial scam – a failed investment, and financial recklessness, which left him in crippling debt, amounting to over half a billion Naira.

“I make money in millions, so I never thought borrowing money to pay back with interests could ever be a problem. But I got too comfortable, and it took me a long time to realize that I was using the money I was earning to pay back interests,” he admitted.

Mr Macaroni further acknowledged his financial recklessness, describing how he had always prioritised helping others even at his own expense. “I would give out my money for lunch to someone who didn’t have breakfast, forgetting that I would go hungry when it’s time for lunch,” he confessed, urging those with similar tendencies to “share your breakfast and keep your money for lunch.”

Despite his challenges, he said the year 2024 marked a breakthrough in his acting career, with two of his films being screened at international festivals and his performances receiving widespread commendations. However, behind the scenes, he was weighed down by the reality of his mounting debts.

The most painful blow, according to Mr Macaroni, came from someone he considered a close friend and sister, who betrayed his trust. “I hardly trust people, and nothing really surprises me about the actions of humans, but this one, I could never have prepared for,” he lamented.

Nevertheless, the actor remained resolute. “One thing about me is that I’m a warrior! I have never backed down from a fight. When I fall, I bounce back even stronger by God’s grace, and I keep my head up,” he declared.

With the support of family and friends, Mr Macaroni revealed that he has made tough decisions and is now in a better place emotionally and financially. He encouraged others going through difficulties not to give up.

“This letter of love is for my people going through whatever. Please DO NOT GIVE UP! People will betray you, but you must not let that derail you. You are alive for a reason. And every day of your life, you must fight to be a better person than you were yesterday,” he advised.

FamilyMy Mother Is The Cause Of My Childlessness’ – Nollywood Actress, Jayesimi Opens by DyshApp(op): 11:17pm On Mar 26, 2025
Naija News reports that Jayesimi, in an interview with her colleague, Abiola Adebayo, on her YouTube podcast, ‘Talk-to-B’, blamed her mother for her childlessness.

The Ibadan-born thespian said her mother and family refused her plans to adopt a child when her desperation heightened, stressing, “If you adopt any kid, I will feed them to death. It was then I knew that I was in for a long ride.”

Jayesimi said she was unfortunate to be in the situation despite several attempts to conceive.

She further stated that her marriage crashed over the issue of childlessness after her ex-husband brought a pregnant woman to their house.

The thespian maintained that she had stopped overthinking the issue, believing that God would make her bear a child someday, especially because of her experience with men who would lie to sleep with her.

She said, “I got married on October 22, 1988. I had started theatrical works then. In our marriage, we had no child for several years despite conceiving before the wedding ceremony. After the ceremony, I had a miscarriage, which was when our problems started. We had too many tests, with several attempts to conceive. My husband and I had a misunderstanding when he left me for months without checking back when we were already five years into our marriage. The problem lingered that he would begin to use a pillow to demarcate the bed.

He began to make plans to make me leave the marriage. I had to pack out when I could no longer bear it. Two weeks after I left the house, another woman moved into the house, pregnant. I resorted to taking alcohol and sobbing for years. I had to move on when the problem was becoming unbearable. I summoned the courage to say that I wouldn’t get married again, but my parents rejected the plan, urging me to remarry.

“So I met one Alhaji who tried his best to make me conceive. I did IVF twice, and it didn’t even work. So one day, I conceived, without even knowing. At the point that I wanted to urinate when I came back from a location one night, I couldn’t, it was too hard, I had to call for a nurse who gave me pain relief and advised that I head for the hospital the following day. When I got to the hospital, the doctor said I was pregnant, but it was an ectopic pregnancy. I cried hell. Then I was already 40 years old. I was operated on and since then, I haven’t conceived. I had to leave the Alhaji because his wife began a war with him.

There are several men who would lie that when you marry them, you will conceive. It is a lie. They want to sleep with you. Not that I don’t think about it, but I know God’s time is the best. I have taken a lot of steps to conceive. Those whom I trained their children mock me at the end of the day.

“This acting job is just a blessing in disguise. It has helped me sustain the watered ground of mockery. What I want to do now is get a child who will be my company. If I had not listened to my mum, I would have adopted a long time ago. I am not fighting with my mum, but I want her to stay clear of me because she’s the cause of my childlessness.”

Christianity EtcWhy Gospel Music Ministers Should Not Charge Fees – Pastor Femi Lazarus by DyshApp(op): 4:35pm On Mar 26, 2025
Nigerian pastor, Femi Lazarus, has addressed the controversy surrounding his recent comments on the financial expectations of gospel ministers, clarifying his stance on the distinction between ministry and business in the gospel music industry.

During a sermon aired on YouTube on Sunday, Lazarus asserted that gospel music ministry is a divine calling and should not be commercialised. According to him, individuals who charge fees for performances are music artists engaging in business, not music ministers operating within the framework of ministry.

He explained, “A music minister is one who expresses his ministry through music. A music artist is not a kingdom-based minister, hence is not for the church. Churches, we don’t have music artists, although there’s nothing wrong with being a music artist, what we have is a music minister.

“Any music minister you can’t trace to a church to see a pastor where the fellow is primarily learning doctrine is not a music minister. He’s an artist.

“A music minister is not just one who sings but is sound in doctrine and full of the spirit. How can you be charging when the atmosphere is not charged?

“A music minister is given the training we give pastors. He stewards God’s gift without commercialising it. The moment you bargain to sing, you are a businessman. If you pay every music minister, ushers will say, ‘We are standing for so long you have to pay us.’

“There’s nothing wrong with music business,” he clarified, “just don’t claim to be a minister if you are an artist. If you are a pastor and you call a music minister who charges you and you pay, God will judge you.”

In response to concerns about the financial sustainability of gospel ministers, Lazarus urged them to seek alternative income sources unless they have been divinely called into full-time ministry.

He said, “Did God call you into full-time? If not, get a job while you serve with your gift. If God did not say follow me in full-time, plan your life. If not, you will suffer and say it’s the church that used you. Have plans. Go to school and get a certificate. You can be the MD of a bank and yet be a keyboardist.”

PoliticsFuel Crisis Looms As Dangote Refinery Set To Stop Supplying Nigerian Market by DyshApp(op): 11:05pm On Mar 19, 2025
Dangote Refinery is set to stop the supply of petroleum products to the Nigerian market following stalled negotiations over the naira-for-crude oil deal with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited.

According to sources, while the refinery will cease fuel distribution domestically, it will continue to export petroleum products as it currently sources crude oil exclusively from the international market, paying in U.S. dollars.

The naira-for-crude agreement, which allowed Dangote Refinery to purchase crude oil in local currency while supplying fuel to Nigerian marketers in naira, has officially ended.

On March 10, reports emerged that NNPC had discontinued the arrangement with Dangote Refinery and other local refineries.

However, NNPC’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, later clarified that the deal, which commenced in October 2024, was still in effect but would expire at the end of March 2025.

He also revealed that discussions were ongoing for a potential renewal of the agreement.

Since October 2024, NNPC has reportedly supplied over 48 million barrels of crude oil to Dangote Refinery, with a total of 84 million barrels delivered since the facility began operations in 2023.

The naira-for-crude deal was initially introduced to boost domestic supply, reduce reliance on costly petroleum imports, and lower fuel prices. However, the current impasse raises concerns about fuel availability and potential price hikes in Nigeria.

CelebritiesBobrisky To List 7 Nigerian Celebrities He Dated by DyshApp(op): 8:30am On Mar 18, 2025
Controversial Nigerian cross dresser, Bobrisky has threatened to release names of the seven Nigerian celebrities he has dated in the past.

Bobrisky took to his page to share a video of himself ranting over how politicians in Nigeria and some celebrities treated him bad while in the country.

He reflected on his issues with EFCC and how his celebrity friends ignored him to face the music.

This lamentation follows after the cross-dresser left the borders of Nigeria to the UK. Bobrisky after arriving in the United Kingdom shared that he would be joining a television series.

While announcing his decision to stay in the UK, Bobrisky lamented the deep sense of alienation, stating that the country’s rigid legal system denies him the right to exist as he truly identifies.

His words;

The time is coming when I will list seven celebrities I have dated. The time is coming when I will expose fake people in that country. They are so fake!

“I never knew I was so special until last year when ministers and senators started discussing me. Imagine a whole minister leaving work to focus on Bobrisky. Am I that important?

“If I lived in Nigeria for 100 years, they would never put ‘female’ on my passport or driver’s license. But here, I am respected for who I am”

CelebritiesAsake’s Alleged Nursery School Teacher Speaks Out Amid Family Drama by DyshApp(op): 2:29am On Mar 17, 2025
A Nigerian man who claims to have been the nursery school teacher of popular singer Ahmed Ololade, widely known as Asake, has broken his silence amid the ongoing controversy involving the artist and his parents.

The drama began when Asake’s father publicly called on his son for help, revealing that he was battling a stroke.

In response, Asake shared a video online, seemingly mocking the situation without directly addressing his father’s plea.

As the situation unfolded, more details emerged online, with claims that Asake’s mother abandoned him at the age of three, leaving him in his father’s care.

Further fueling the controversy, Asake’s alleged nursery school teacher commented on the matter, reportedly leaving a note on his old report card that supported claims his mother left while his father raised him alone.

Taking to Facebook, the alleged teacher shared a post highlighting his experiences with Asake and his father.

He wrote:

“One fact about Malo, Ashake’s father, is that he was a very nice man—not just to his son but to everyone, including me as his alleged nursery school teacher. Malo never walked alone; he was always surrounded by people.”

“He was a caring father who raised his son alone after Ashake’s mother got married to Musibau Alani, also known as Omokekere. Although she visited him in school occasionally, Ashake lived with his father, not his mother.”

“My brother, Musibau Olawale Ajose, was the proprietor of the school. We taught Ashake how to write ABCs and three-letter words. When he turned five, my brother enrolled him at Ebute Ero Primary School.”

“To those in Mushin making claims they know nothing about, fear God. I know Ashake inside out, as well as his parents.”

“Hazan Sars was his senior in nursery school, while Hazan’s younger brother, Shakiru, was in the same class as Ashake. If you don’t know the real story, stay out of it and leave the matter to us islanders.”
While neither Asake nor his mother has responded to these claims, the post has sparked widespread discussion online, with many sharing their thoughts in the comment section.

RomanceHe Said His Genotype Changed” – Lady Devasted As Fiance Calls Off Wedding by DyshApp(op): 1:06am On Mar 17, 2025
A Nigerian medical laboratory scientist, identified as Peace, has been left heartbroken after her fiance called off their wedding, just two weeks before the ceremony.

The couple, who had been together for five years, had initially conducted genotype tests before proceeding with wedding plans.

However, the groom-to-be later claimed his genotype results had changed, leading to the shocking cancellation.

Peace, who shared her distressing experience on TikTok, revealed that she and her fiance had confirmed their genotype compatibility earlier in their relationship.

She stated that her fiance’s initial test showed he was AA, while she had always known herself to be AS.

This assurance led them to proceed with their wedding preparations, including printing invitation cards and inviting guests.

However, Peace was left in shock when her fiance informed her that he had conducted another genotype test at a different laboratory, which revealed that he was actually AS.

Due to this sudden incompatibility, he insisted that the wedding could no longer take place.

The devastated lady expressed disbelief, stating that as a medical lab scientist, she understood the significance of genotype compatibility and had personally verified his results.

“We have created wedding IV and invited everybody. It was meant to hold next two weeks, just for me to get a message from my fiance, after introduction, that we cannot work because of genotype incompatibility.

“And me, I am a med lab scientist, so I know the importance of genotype while courting. I already did his genotype for him and he was AA, while me I am AS right from time, cos, all my relationships, that is part of the questions they ask at the beginning…” she said in part.

She accused her ex-fiance of lying about his genotype and claimed that he used it as an excuse to end their relationship.

Peace also disclosed that she contacted some of his friends, who informed her that he was planning to marry another woman soon.
