pendy79: When you gather omisore, Fani kayode, mimiko, obanikoro assuring you of success in an election then the opposition just need to go to bed.
PDP has lost the little sympathy it has in the SW and indeed reasonable zones of the country.
GEJ is such a bad market that he personifies cluelessness and wickedness that people can't wait to sweep his footprints from Aso rock When you parade a worn out 1983 coupist as messiah, then you need to be mentally evaluated. |

If you could recall, I was being held on it by a number of people when I broke down in 2010, when I said after that attempt I won’t attempt again. But my supporters all over the country said since I didn’t say I have resigned completely from politics in the press statement I issued, I cannot refuse them. So my supporters ganged up and said I must compete.
Buhari is shameless.
How can one continually hunger for power since 1983? |
Politics › Re: Few Pics From Imo State by eaglechild: 7:33am On Dec 27, 2014 |
Abagworo: Imo is the State with best streetlighting in Nigeria. Uyo has no streetlights and so is Enugu compared with Imo that most villages have streetlights. The entire Owerri has streetlights. The entire Oguta is same . Even highways are being done with streetlights.
The intensity of the lighting is low in the solar powered ones and higher in generator powered ones. I prefer solar as they are always functional even without generators and hence prevent leakage of public funds. In a bid to praise Rochas you make ridiculous statements. You don't have to praise blindly, especially facts that are easily verifiable. I am sure the person you sing praises for sometimes wonder the rationale behind it. Just imagine saying Uyo and Enugu have no street lights just to make the dim "rechargeable" like lights Rochas put up look good. |
NYSC › Re: The Plight Of NYSC Members In Abuja by eaglechild: 7:26am On Dec 27, 2014 |
Very true no need to influence your posting to Lagos or Abuja unless you have a job waiting. Raiders: 90% of corp members posted to Abuja influence or pay money to be posted to Abuja. I don't see any reason why someone would want to serve in a place like Abuja and Lagos without having plans for his accommodation and PPA. The problem with Abuja is their the number of Corpers posted there are more than the available PPA so the ones without connection get rejected. There are many states in Nigeria in need of corpers with decent accommodations and low cost of living but most corpers would rather want go serve in Abuja and lagos. I served in Enugu and it was a really nice experience for me. Most of us in Enugu got good accommodation and PPA and rejection rate was very low. Prospective corpers should stop influencing their posting to lagos and abuja without having good plans for PPA and accommodation. |

Collynzo22: You are right on the street lights. Most of them produce white instead of the usual yellow lights, I have no problem with white lights infact I prefer them, but the ones Rochas uses are so dim you wonder what difference they make. Exactly, you totally understand my point. Somewhere like Uyo and Enugu has functional bright street lights that may make you forget to put on your headlamps. I suspect the yellow light is brighter, and should be used. Check how well lit Musa Yaradua drive is, where the yellow lights are in use. |
Politics › Re: Few Pics From Imo State by eaglechild: 9:59pm On Dec 26, 2014 |
Charlesdonald: man there are quality street light in owerri ...........strong flood light and stainless chrome stand The stands are actually beautiful but the intensity is not good and they are not very functional. I prefer the regular ones (yellow light) e.g on Musa Yaradua drive, they might not look so fanciful but at night they are bright and functional. |

lygn19: do u know y I applaud rochas... if u want to know if he is good compare him with states that receive almost d same amount of money he receives from d fg, states like Abia, ekiti, osun, ebonyi, etc... then u wud know his quality. Imo has the highest allocation in the SE after Abia. Enugu receives significantly less. |
Politics › Re: Few Pics From Imo State by eaglechild: 9:46pm On Dec 26, 2014 |
lygn19: guess where dz is... who say rochas no try. Beautiful decorations at government house/rockview round about. Also something similar at heroes' square. I wish Rochas can invest more on street-lighting. The quality of street lights in Owerri is poor in terms of intensity and many major roads are not lit at all or functioning. Street lights help tremendously in terms of security and night life and invariably the economy of the state. |

Smooyis: As much as i would like to blame the state government over these decadent infrastructures, we must accept that the federal govt is not helping matters a lot. Lagos is too big for the state government effectively manage without its own police, and taxes from its ports and other avenues. Really? With all the tax and revenue it generates? Will you give same excuse for Jonathan? Besides the FG still maintains its facilities in Lagos, you do not expect the FG to also take over state and LG duties. |
