Go and learn my friend! If that regime was not overthrown, the country could have even been gone long time. For the fact that Buhari ruled for a bit less than two years and didn't steal a penny of our wealth is enough reason to trust him to lead Nigeria once more.
So you advocate for change through the barrel of a gun? It took Abdulsalami about a year to come up with a transition program to handover power to a democratically elected President, the same thing for OBJ.
If Buhari wasn't overthrown, by IBB would he ever have handed over power to an elected President?

Maybe we are a nation that rewards Coup plotters. You had disdain for Democracy and jailed many people who participated in democracy. Yet, the irony of the whole Charade called Buhari (GMD) is that he wants to benefit from the same democracy he truncated.
Buhari never made any attempt to set up a time table for handing over of power to a democratically elected President, yet he wants to benefit from the democracy made possible by the sacrifices of others.
Take it from me, General Buhari (rtd) is a bloody hypocrite.
Politics › Re: How I Ended Maitatsine Crisis, By Buhari by eagleeye2: 7:34am On Dec 28, 2014
General Muhammad Buhari was a military dictator. If GEJ should try the same tactics now, everyone will call for his head because GEJ is still answerable to Nigerians and the Senate and House can still impeach him.
GMD sabotaged a democratic government, and unfortunately for him he want to be elected as a President of the Federal Republic. The irony of life.
A coupist has no business, seeking for elective post in a democracy. But Nigeria has always been different.

It is encouraging that you took up the challenge to show us any of GEJ's thesis or publication, the problem is that the said paper is neither a thesis or a publication. It was appropriately labeled Conference or workshop item. It was a joint paper presented at a workshop. It would be very difficult to determine jonathan's contributions.

Meanwhile please help clarify these discrepancies in Jonathan's academic records;

He obtained his M.sc at the University of Port Harcourt in 1985 and he was a Lecturer at the Dept. Of Biology, Rivers State College of Education, Port Harcourt from 1983 – 1993. How did that work? he was lecturing at one university while studying to obtain an M.sc in another university.
And why do you think that it's not possiblehuh?
I work with a Ministry in Abia State, and I was able to successfully obtain a masters degree from the University of Lagos.
Also my cousin lectures at Abia State and was able to successfully obtain a M.Sc from Imo State University and is currently pursuing a PhD in another university.

If things were super-tight and the babe knows, she should have tried to help tone it down though cool
No. No.
#30k was for collecting list. You can ask others (igbos) it's way too expensive just for collecting list.
The girls brother, who was even telling him to go and bring the money isn't responsible for the girl ohh.......the girl was adopted by a reverend gentleman who trained her. But in Igbo land na still the biological family of the girl that will dictate things concerning her trad wedding.

Well the court is greater than every law in the country and it's what guides us they don't care about your tradition, and court didn't say if you don't pay bride price the baby ain't yours that's it
Go back and read the analogy I cited. Even the court will not give an irresponsible father custody of a baby. There have been many instances where this kind of thing has happened before.
You got a woman pregnant, and bailed on her and you want thew court to give you custody of her child. smh

The truth is, she asked him to hold on for now. She's bidding her time to think thru it all. When I asked her what she really wants, she said She's afraid her chances of getting a Suitor is low as a single mother hence she's considering his offer now but on the other hand she feels it's all too sudden she might make a mistake again. That's whr we are now.
Marriage is a serious affair...... if she is very confused, then let her have her baby and be ready for any outcome.

Oga, the man who impregnated the lady is not ready to wife her. we weren't told, if he accepted to take responsibilities for the baby or not.
But, why I quoted you was because you said my earlier assertion is not done in Igbo land. Thus am not Igbo.
Assuming the man does not take responsibility for the baby, and this second man marries her with the pregnancy. Who becomes the father of the babyhuh?

Bro, I am from Abia, I live and work there too. Ask your elders if you are not sure.
Being a sperm donor does not necessarily qualify you as a FATHER.
A certain politician in Imo State became a senator there because his father didn't wife his mother, and his mother's people adopted him. When his opponent tried to use it against him, the elders clearly clarified things for them.
Once again ask your elders.

I have seen this happen with a single mother I worked with, infact in my office. The lady had come to visit me and collect her monthly upkeep. A visiting foreign staff saw her and asked who she was, I told him who she was and he said he wanted to support her too. Thats how like joke like joke he was supporting her, even taking the time off to take her to antenatal, helped with baby shopping. By the time he asked her to marry him no one was surprised. They got married a month before she had the baby, he was there for the delivery. His time here ended he filed for her and baby, they joined him. Last I heard they were still happy together, have had one more baby together
Some men can be like that they see women they want and go for them regardless of any baggage they come with.
Like others have said let her tell her parents, since he has told him let both families come together and discuss his intention. Does she like him or is she ruled by fear? I say slow down and do things right
Thank God no be only me don see or hear this type of stop.

An average guy does not want to raise another mans child
he will even prefer to have her without the child hence the need to be patient in this scenario
An average man will not want it, if he was deceived into believing it was his before.
I have seen men urge their wife to adopt child(ren) other than their own.

At least in my side of Igbo land, if he marry that woman in her condition then that baby is definitely his.
By the way some men are just there to 'donate' the spermm.

I smell something fishy.
Does de new guy have infertility problems?
Why he come dey rush de girl lyk dat.
A guy who is ready to marry, doesn't really need much time to make up his mind.
My sister got married to such a guy and they have been living together for fourteen years.
Now this is the story:
We, I and my sister, went to visit an uncle and we met this guy there (I.e. my sister's hubby). in the course of gisting, the guy jokingly said that he is searching for a wife. (my sister had broken up with her then fiance not Upto six months, fiance still dey beg for second chance ohh).
Jokingly, my sister said "am available, come and marry me". In less than nine months, they were married. Her husband was the only man, who ever came looking for my sister and was bold enough to tell my mum that he is passing the night in our house. (mumsie dey very strict, and staunch catholic).
.
.
Why am I telling this story? Some guys act like people on drug when they are really ready to settle down.
Family › Re: Unbiased Advised Needed PLS by eagleeye2: 1:11pm On Dec 22, 2014
Actually, I have heard about a case like this.
It happened that the first guy impregnated a lady, but didn't want to marry the lady. And a second guy comes along and married the lady, with her pregnancy.
Sometime down the line, the first guy comes back to claim his child and he was plainly told that he should go to hell. The first guy dragged the case to court, the court ruled in favor of the second guy. (Meanwhile, amala people already ruled in favor of the second guy).
.
I don't know about 'love' but some guys are just crazy. And this your cousins new guy may fall in that category.
Family › Re: Unbiased Advised Needed PLS by eagleeye2:
I don't know about other people's opinion. But, I believe that when a man is ready to do 'his' thing (this case marriage) little can stop him.
If he is Igbo, then he is right by saying that when he marries the lady, the baby will be his.
But if your cousin is confused, she should just chill and wait till after she has put to bed.

Hmm..

My sister who lives in chicago married a nigerian-american guy.

Both met in chi town. Did the traditional bit but did not step foot in nigeria. They happen to cordinate it somehow over the phone and representitives from both villages did the traditional bit in their absence.

I dont think both my sister and brother-in-law cared much but my father is still a bit true to some nigerian traditions and customs. So my sister, god bless her, played along.

She had a fabulous chicago church wedding tho.
LMAO......Like seriously.
So for your left mind your cousin don do traditional wedding........Imagine conducting traditional wedding over the phone......why them no do Skype instead
