PoliticsRe: Remove Your Cassocks, Join Politics, Garba Shehu Replies Kukah by EagleNest(m): 8:06am On Apr 19, 2022
These image cleaners - Garba Shehu and Femi Adeshina can even attack Pope if he criticizes Buhari govt. That's how bad it is.
"Thou shall not criticize Buhari govt or thou would be criticized too grin"
PoliticsRe: Osinbajo's Problematic Ambition - The Cable by EagleNest(m): 7:50am On Apr 19, 2022
Men!! From this report the economic statistics of this govt is damning! It can cause someone mental sickness ooo. And the fact that this is written by a camp of APC (and not IPOB) confirms how terrible this govt is.

On the slaying of Osibanjo's character, one thing is sure...if he hadn't declared interest for President at the same period when his political God father is showing interest, there wouldn't have been all these mud slinging. In fact this story would have described him as an accomplished protege of Jagaban. Now I hear Jagan said he doesn't have such a political son grin
PoliticsRe: 2023: What Jonathan’s Return Means For Nigeria by EagleNest(m): 7:17am On Apr 19, 2022
Naaah, SE is the answer.

Jonathan's era was riddled with corruption. It was an era when EFCC became ineffective and almost moribund.

Anyway which party sef will he vie from? He mistakenly let PDP drift away from his influence into the hands of Wike/Tambuwal, and APC now is too hot to handle because of too many interests from "we die here" politicians.

PoliticsRe: Salvador: Tinubu’s Health Improved After Osinbajo Joined Presidential Race by EagleNest(m): 1:55pm On Apr 18, 2022
Before, it was Peter Obi that was bearing the brunt of the Tinubu sycophants, now that Osinbajo has entered the ring, they left Obi and faced Osibanjo. It's like wrestling smack down grin

Somehow Amechi have not been under their firing radar. I guess an attack on Amechi means an indirect attack on Buhari and might result to zero chance for Oga's emergence.

PoliticsRe: Why Tinubu Asked Osinbajo To Leave Lagos Politics, Relocate To Ogun — Babaleye by EagleNest(m): 9:19pm On Apr 17, 2022
When they caught Abba Kyari, he said it was ESN/IPOB that framed him.

When the TollGate riot happened and the Oba's Palace was torched, they said the riot was masterminded by IPOB.

Even as this man revealed, APC lost in Osibanjo's VGC ward, but he alleged it's Igbos. grin

And may be Buhari's failure is also caused by Igbos.

deji17:
No, it cannot happen. You do the bidding of PDP , so they are the one who has to give you their Presidential ticket. You bank with First bank, so don't go look for your money at GTB.
That's according to you, but let's see how it pans out eventually. Politics is too dynamic to be certain what will happen tomorrow but the fall outs can make or mar, if not handled well.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu And Osinbajo Qualified But It's Not The Turn Of South West by EagleNest(m): 9:46pm On Apr 16, 2022
Parachoko:
I do not have time for all this chidish rants of yours.

There was no time there have been micro zoning in Nigeria.

You're wrong when you said it was micro zone to the South West, I proved you wrong.

Zoning is not constitutional. PDP might throw her ticket open while the APC have zone to the South.

The Nigerian constitution do not recognise zoning, Kwankwaso will contest under the NNPP.

APC have zone to the South, the contestants will meet at Eagle square next month.
Kosi wahala then... lets politicians go ahead.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu And Osinbajo Qualified But It's Not The Turn Of South West by EagleNest(m): 9:38pm On Apr 16, 2022
Parachoko:
Show me evidence PDP and AD microzone to the South West.

I can still remember the primary of both political party as if is like yesterday and I know PDP and AD zoned to the South, that was why Ekwueme contested the PDP ticket against Obasanjo and Onu contested again Falae in AD.

So am waiting for your response.
And you thought they didn't get it because Obasanjo was a better candidate than Ekwueme? It was militarily arranged (microzoned) to assuage SW because of MKO Abiola's ordeal.

In 2007 election it was Ya' Ardua (PDP), Buhari (ANPP), Atiku (AC).

2023 is obviously SE turn, but all of a sudden every region wants to be president. Have SE not suffered enough for this country?
PoliticsRe: Ohanaeze: Why Tinubu, Osinbajo Should Drop Their Presidential Ambitions by EagleNest(m): 9:22pm On Apr 16, 2022
deji17:
This is a threat you should be issuing out to PDP whose bidding you have been carrying out since 1999. They need you and you need them. Otherwise, you can either continue with IPOB, ESN, killing each other or you accept the election outcome.
It is not a threat but apparently what I see coming.

And it is the right thing for both parties to do because AD/APP and PDP did similar thing before for SW. I don't see why it can't happen this time around.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu And Osinbajo Qualified But It's Not The Turn Of South West by EagleNest(m): 9:05pm On Apr 16, 2022
Parachoko:
How is the South West stopping people from the South East from contesting?

Tinubu, Atiku, Kwankwaso, Obi, Okorocha, Tambuwal, Osinbanjo etc have shown an interest to contest, why are you complaining about the South West?
It doesn't work like that. That's not how Obasanjo and Olu Falae were propped up to be flag bearers. Both parties zoned to SW. Why is it difficult now?
PoliticsRe: Ohanaeze: Why Tinubu, Osinbajo Should Drop Their Presidential Ambitions by EagleNest(m): 9:02pm On Apr 16, 2022
Deadlytruth:
Ogbulafor vs Jonathan issue was an intra-PDP thing which didn't really concern the SW which was in a totally different party.
You mean the SE's choice of Obasanjo - an integral part of the military establishment- was a way to return the military permanently to the barracks and cut it off totally from our democracy? What a way to turn logic on its head.
When the rigging you now decry started under the Obasanjo-led PDP, your people celebrated it to high heavens with the sing song that all other parties were regional pressure groups which had no national appeal hence had no business being in existence. Now your national outlook party PDP has refused to zone her ticket to you as if you are not part of the nation in which it is a national party, yet you have accepted that fate without questioning.

I wonder what it means to you to work for national unity, else how can you claim you were working for national unity by supporting Jonathan to blatantly violate the PDP zoning arrangement which your very region's political leaders subscribed to in 1998 as a way to enthrench the equity and fairness needed to engender that very national unity?

If after all what you suffered from the first republic through Azikiwe's naive search for a non-existent national unity was not enough to have as at 1999 taught you that national unity doesn't come by making blind and suicidal sacrifices for the convenience of others who don't believe in that national unity, then I doubt you are sincerely wiser now as you are sure to still end up queueing behind Atiku should he win the PDP ticket which is very obvious now.
If that's the case then there is no point of pretending we have a nation called Nigeria, as it can not work if we are only after our regional interests. Like I said before, it will not be easy if SE is schemed out again whether PDP or APC or both, because I doubt if they will want to remain in whatever becomes of Nigeria. And if SE goes, I imagine what Nigeria will be like. Give SE breathing space, support them to lead.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu And Osinbajo Qualified But It's Not The Turn Of South West by EagleNest(m): 2:54pm On Apr 16, 2022
Turn by turn folks.

Let SW live and let SE live too.

It's officially SE turn to lead Nigeria.

Let's not upturn this fundamental principle of peaceful coexistence of such a complex place called Nigeria. I'm concerned that it will not bode well on survivability of Nigeria if we show indifference to this quest now, as there will be persistent agitations.
PoliticsRe: What Would You Change If You Become The President Just For Oneday by EagleNest(m): 2:38pm On Apr 16, 2022
Restructure Nigeria politically and economically.
PoliticsRe: Ohanaeze: Why Tinubu, Osinbajo Should Drop Their Presidential Ambitions by EagleNest(m): 2:29pm On Apr 16, 2022
Deadlytruth:
The SE was shortchanged in 1999 when IBB used money to kick out the most qualified Alex Ekweme based on the PDP NWC criteria in favour of Obasanjo who score zero based on those criteria and all you folks could do in response was to say, 'rankadede' to IBB and then go ahead to give Obasanjo bloc votes in the election. In essence you couldn't do shit about any resistance.

In 2007 Obasanjo derogatorily told you that the promise he made to hand power over to the SE was a gentleman agreement, so he proceeded to annoint an unknown Yaradua who was nowhere as qualified as any of the prominent Igbo politicians, and all you could do in response was to be the first tribe to endorse Yaradua and continue to support him till today even in his grave.

In 2011, Ogbulafor your fellow Igbo kinsman, took a principled stand against Jonathan's impending violation of the PDP zoning arrangement. In his thinking, if a Northerner was allowed to complete Yaradua's tenure in fair adherence to the PDP zoning, it was a given that the party's ticket would be zoned to the SE in 2015. But Jonathan went to fabricate allegations of corruption against Ogbulafor as weapon with which he removed Ogbulafor as PDP national chairman and replaced him with a Northerner, then he contested and won thus disrupting the zoning and further blighting the hope of future zoning of the party to the SE. In response you folks hailed Jonathan and argued that zoning is not recognized by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In 2015, Jonathan stubbornly contested again thus further burying Igbo chances in future but all you did was to even defend him harder rather than threaten the way you now threaten.

From the scenarios above, it is clear that your threats are empty and not scary enough as you will later queue behind any Northerner that merges as PDP flagbearer.
When Ogbulafor was kicking against Jonathan doing a term, what was SW doing? Or is it only SE that exists in Nigeria?

Well if the political psyche of SE in 1999 was primarily for the unity of Nigeria, and also to get the military back to Barack, this time around they are no longer that gullible having seen that all these while the Nigeria system were being massively and surreptitiously rigged to the benefit of certain other zones. And the last 7 years of Buhari and his enablers have only made it worst.

Do we still want to be ONE country or we should all go our separate ways? Because there cannot be in-between, it is not sustainable.

What if they feel betrayed ?

Would they still support the party ?
It's turn by turn. It will get to their turn again except that may be by then some of the current SW players might be too old and incapacitated to vie for election.

No one felt betrayed when it was Obasanjo vs Olu Falae. It's about the interest of the country more than interest of the party or personal interest.

But if it is Igbo Vs Igbo, like Obasanjo Vs Olu Falae, then it becomes difficult to answer.

You want the country divided? Okay.
Yes and No!

Yes - because if we continue at the current trajectory it will only end in disintegration.

No - because if we amend our ways today and forge a common purpose to unite Nigeria instead of "my" tribe/religion first, then we can move forward. Think of unity of Nigeria and take action, do not pretend and overlook, hoping somehow things will sort itself out. Naaah!!! Turn by Turn Bros!

Agitation will be worst or on overdrive if SE is short-changed again. Let SE have their turn, then afterwards it can be thrown open. That's in the spirit of equity, justice and fairness. Other than this, I don't see Nigeria enjoying peace. We have had enough of blood shed, it's not good to pretend it doesn't concern all of us.
