Mikecold:Absurd in its entirety!!! Is this the same country that fought with ECOMOG to bring peace in Liberia and Sierra Leone? Where are our senses? |
plaindealer:The problem with some of you is that you think that all is well with you. No! You are not immuned, my friend. The Igbos you are fighting, are not experts in playing victim or pretending, although indeed they are victims of concerted psychological fight to subsume them. Which other ethnic group have been vilified like Igbo in Nigeria? |
khadaffi:Then let's close shop and go home, until we are ready to run a country. |
I'm researching to find out what's the biggest value of being a citizen of Nigeria. Calmly think about what makes you proud of being a Nigerian? What have you enjoyed as a citizen that is such a legacy to be continued and bequeathed to next generation. Is it: 1. The Nigerian education (good, bad, ugly?) 2. The political and leadership system (patriotic and inspiring?) 3. Nigeria culture, religion and value system (unique yet diverse, does it bring the best in us?) 4. Infrastructures (plenty or lack of it?) 5. The style of government gives you hope? 6. Social system (govt thinking about it's citizens?) 7. Justice system (fair to all and sundries?) 8. Economics (robust and versatile) 9. Security (You always feel safe?) 10. Green passport (it attracts respect anytime you're outside the country?) What keeps you moving and proud of your Nigeria citizenship? |
socialmediaman:Very pathetic! I'm still searching hard on the value of being a Nigerian citizen. What's the value? |
Pakistanis will go to US, UK, Canada and Australia - all Christian country - to live and study without harassment. And the fact they have not evolved from such mundane law of blasphemy is staggering. |
As Europe(Portugal, Spain, Greece, etc) are begging British to come to their respective country on holidays to help the economy. Impose such visa and Igbos will go elsewhere and you'll be begging. Remember those days in Lagos when Igbos go on Christmas!!! |
The author is not thinking realistically like an average Igbos. The only ethnic group in Nigeria that had fought war and still fighting should be sensitive or be consumed. Go and tell Israel not to be paranoid. If you don't know where the rain started beating you, how will you know where it stops? |
I disagree. What Nigeria needs is an intelligent and wise president who doesn't carry religion and ethnicity on his head. A leader who talks to his people honestly and inspires them to patriotic actions. An iron fist leader belongs to military and they're not trained to be civilian leaders. |
zolajpower:Then police should not arrest anyone henceforth? If they cannot obey the same law they are meant to enforce, then their is no point of continuing as a country. |
Can you imagine the reasoning of this sheikh. Is that how they reason up North. I thought Gumi said Bandits are not necessarily bad people? ISWAP finished Shekau and you thought they did it for Nigeria good? Okay ![]() |
FG and common sense, is like cat and mouse. They don't get along. They should go ahead and lay siege to the whole SE, instead of embarking and relying on intelligence to get to the root of the matter. |
He should sue the police for wrong arrest and abuse of his freedom. He should be compensated. You see why reactionary measures to appease OGA at the top could lead to deep human right abuse. |
MalcoImX:He never said he liked what's going on in the SE. In fact he called those boys criminal elements. Now he said, FG should not just go and kill people in reaction to one incidence or the other but investigate, arrest and prosecute people. FG should not behave like criminals they are supposed to arrest. You see why government need to be above board and civil? |
Instead of making good effort not to allow Nigeria flame to quench, you are busy fighting those who tell you Nigeria is dying. Denying a disease when the symptom is clear and obvious, is like one deliberately stepping into the river to drown. |
But why Bakare didn't do "save Nigeria 2.0". It is now Nigeria needs "Save Nigeria Group". |
When we are far from being United! |
Bad belle people wey dey have mental problem over Igbos matter, sorry ooo! |
Nigeria is already divided but yet to breakaway! |
orisa37:I see your point. For a well developed democracy and civilization, yes the built in internal control mechanism works. But for weak democracies like Nigeria where law enforcement is very weak and civility/patriotism of citizens is still very distant, we should fashion only what works for us. We must not follow America strictly because we are yet to evolve to same level in government and civility like them. Have you seen that China copies only science and technology from the western world, but not system of governance. They fashioned what will work for them, and they succeeded and become very relevant in the world. We should fashion what is unique and will work for us. |
orisa37:The House of Representatives is there. It's either the Senate or House of Reps, but not both, as I don't see the benefit. And legislative bodies should be more independent and vibrant if they are to be meaningful to the task of making law and supervisory roles. |
It is obvious that the country failed like 2 years ago. The APC style of government brought the country to its knees. And they're still living in deception and denial. You don't preach one Nigeria when your actions are anti-one Nigeria. |
Yes, that's a quality input from SAN. Running a bicameral system of government is waste of money. One legislative body is enough. |
Lying Liar Incorporated! |
How is that your problem! How big is Switzerland or South Korea? It is not by land mass or population bros but the quality of people living on a given area. Igbo land would like to go for quality instead of quantity. |
Royalfreshness:Well we learn everyday but it is like Night and Day naah. "Emmanuel Okeke" shouldn't be an Edo just like Emmanuel Akpan being an Igbo person is not likely. Nigeria never integrate reach that level ooo! Always watch out for those silent red flags or ask Google if in doubt. |
It is a very welcomed move. Long overdue. These Governors should always think home first on how to make Igbo land better. Our own history should not be wiped clean because Nigeria govt wants so. |
Dear Kingsley, It's good you have put your hat in the ring to wrestle Nigeria out of self inflicted wounds. Unfortunately Nigerians hardly follows light but rather darkness. That's why today many gnash their teeth in poverty and pains, however will repeat the same mistake again and again. I know you are capable of taking us out of this dungeon of backwardness but how you will do it, I don't know. I wish you all the best, EasgleNest |
Gulak's murder looks like a political vandetta to me or unfinished business gone wrong. I found it hard to believe that ESN did this dasterdly act, because it doesn't make sense. To what end or benefit would they derive by killing Gulak? It was a targeted assassination in all shades sand corners. |
How do we differentiate daylight robbery and UGM anarchy? |
It was a big gaffe by Umahi to make that order. Is he a military governor to make such order? I didn't believe it when I first heard it. |
Government should explore extensive intelligence and be ahead of this wahala in the East. There must be some big sponsors somewhere fanning the ambers of distruction, go! and find them. |
