Well, that means that Nigeria failed to stamp out terrorists in the Lake Chad region as was promised in 2015 handover of baton. That also means IPOB is not seen as terrorist by international community. However I welcome the development but let Nigeria not end up becoming Afghanistan, Libya or Somalia, as it is now classified as a weak state. I hope we understand what that means. |
But God reversed the time in 2019 and he was voted again. You see scamming is a skill that even sophisticated people, if not wary, would fall into it. Buhari used it very well. If not that his term is time limited; if he were to go for another election in 2023, would he not win? He has already divided Nigeria and is enjoying the dividend, while we fight each other. The legislative assembly is under his arm. Many of the governors have suddenly loss their voices unlike during Jonathan. Who is reaping the dividend, Buhari of course. If he goes again, he will win, but God forbid! |
Same of the same! Whether APC or PDP, there is no difference. The people I pity most are the gullible Nigerians who have been scamed repeatedly by the shenanigans and drama of these selfish politicians. They are simply in a club. At the end they will all enter one vehicle, just like China's one party system. |
captainamiedi1:Sure I have lost things before, it was stolen and gone forever. It's painful to loss a brand new Keke, that I empathize, but it is not the end of the world. I wish you will show the same zeal when the thief is not the petty one on the street, but the big thieves in government. Can any of you raise a finger? No! Zero! So for me I stand for equity, if you must lynch a petty criminal as a punishment for crime, then you must do same or worst to big thieves in govt. Have anyone lynched Ganduje for stuffing dollars in his babariga, even when caught live on camera? No! You can't even get near. So jungle justice to poor criminal and nothing to the big thief, that, I don't agree. |
ArcSEMPECJ:I understand your point of view but these thieves have been caught already, that means the property is fully recovered. The next will be for him to face the criminal justice system to receive his fair punishment. But now he has been murdered because people thought, based on assumption, that he may have killed before. So any thief caught must have killed before, is that correct? If lynching is the way to go, then why are the big theives in government still alive? Because none of you can come near or even raise a finger. You see, it is not fair to lynch someone based on assumption. Since he has been caught, the highest is to beat and shame him, then over to police. I don't support killing a petty criminal unless we do same to big thieves in govt. Ganduje was caught on camera stuffing dollars in his agbada, oya go and kill him naah? No way! |
Feggie3:Again, a stupid assumption. You assumed in error bc I didn't agree with you on killing a thief who was caught for stealing keke. Shebi you have caught him, why killing him? What's the justification? How many big thieves in government have you burned to ashes? None! zero! You won't even get near. But you can quickly dispatch a petty thief who stole Keke, abi na mobile phone. What authority do you have to kill a person that stole woman's hand bag? None! So stop this barbaric thinking please! If thieves must be lynched, then start from the guys in govt, then it becomes fair. |
jchioma:I agree, crime is evil. But what authority do we have to kill someone who stole Keke or Mobile phone, if he wasn't caught killing or knifing someone. We assumed that since he has stolen sth, may be, he must have killed before...how did we arrive at this without arrest and interrogation. Then after we'll go and prostate before a big thief in government, who has stolen our common wealth. Who amongst us have raised a finger on them? Don't we know they also kill? |
Paswill:God forbid!! I understand how vicious they can be, but we can't use that same measure on all crimes. If caught in an operation shooting or knifing, may be I will say okay, they're armed to kill. But here he stole Keke, abi mobile phone, and he's lynched. Hey, that's way too much. No justice there at all. And the big thieves in government who steal in millions of dollars have never been lynched. |
balingaonline:I understand how terrible they can be, but we can't descend to their level otherwise we end up hurting the innocents by mistake. The big thieves are in government, and we can't even raise a finger on any. |
AntiAPC2023:Can you imagine? Just because of phone he was killed. |
Benzemma:I understand the frustration about the Nigeria criminal justice system, but in this case he was caught stealing sth not worth human life. Was he armed? Because he wasn't arrested and interrogated, killing him was based on assumption, and that's very dangerous when an innocent person is involved. The biggest thieves are in government, and we haven't done anything about them because they hold the power and influence. For me Keke or Mobile phone theft doesn't equate to human life. |
Jungle justice is never the best. It didn't give the person a chance at all to turn a good leaf. How is Keke and human life the same? |
Una never talk finish wetin be una problem. So much about being one Nigeria. |
See me see wahala...you live where you can afford naah, how is that a problem? Or may be you never talk well wetin dey your mind. |
Igbokwe unfortunately hardly side with anything popular in mainstream Igbo. The people didn't cry when described as a dot by the so called democratic President of Nigeria. I don't see why putting on a shirt like Abaribe did, will generate such a furore. The worst man's enemy is the enemy within his household. |
Someone wants to make money like the N.Delta militants. Probably not seeing anything to hold on to force the govt, they started kidnapping with ultimate aim of advocating for security contract. |
See dem telling Igbos what to do and what not to do! Since hating Igbos is your hobby how has it advanced your life or make Nigeria better? |
Hallucination always - by Tinubu boy |
He should sue Nigeria Police shikina! Unlawful arrest, unlawful detention and soliciting of bribery. |
Yes, Nigerians cannot breath, just like George Floyd. We are chocking and in a state of asphyxiation. Whose hand is on our throats? It is the hands of many wicked politicians in APC and PDP. The two sides of a coin that God had used to punish us severely. A congregation of people with questionable characters. They have brought Nigeria to its knees!!! Will they kill Nigeria? Only time will tell. |
He enjoyed free and open press, and spoke as he wanted before 2015, but today he's already trying in vain to shut the freedom of Nigerians to speak which is a fundamental right of every citizen. I ask, is this a military government or civilian? I can't distinguish anymore. |
If it is this current Lawan senate that former president Obasanjo tried to go for 3rd term, he would have had an easy sail. They're simply an appendage of the executive. Oh' yes people. |
His Personal ambition will not allow him speak truth. He is ambivalent so that he doesn't jeopardize his chances. Very soon it will dawn on him. |
Why is he telling us? We already know. He is the 2nd in command to the most divisive president in Nigeria history. He has access to his boss, he should go and tell him. When he tramples on law that binds us together, tell him. You are professor of law and a pastor, you should stand for something. Don't just keep mute in the midst of atrocities, to show loyalty. Don't come and be telling us we need a leader that will unite us. That we know already. What are you doing about it. What do you stand for? |
Because Igbos refused to vote him in four different occasions and he took vengeance on them, and in fact is now paranoid. But I trust Igbos, they don't back down when faced with bullies. Was he the only Moslem northerner to lead Nigeria, no! There was Yar'dua, there was Abdulsalami, there was even Abacha. They were not this devisive and hateful. What did Nigerians gain by voting Buhari as president twice? |
Well written! The reality is that "self pontification" is one of the signs of a autocratic leadership. Because an autocratic leader will trample on the existing laws and manipulate the people to believe that he has done nothing wrong. But a professor of law is the VP, and he too sees no wrong!!! ![]() |
Na wa ooo for herdsman wahala. The whole of 6years of this govt, it has been one week one trouble with herdsmen or bandits. |
Northern governors sef! |
Igbos are "aka ekpuchi onwa" meaning you can't cusp the moon with hands, in anyway you try it must surely shine. |
Tinubu should have known that Buhari would not play back the ball. He simply took the ball home. |
Buhari will definitely go in no distant time(less than 2years from now) but I doubt if the damage he has caused/created will heal in no distant time. He shouldn't have lead a country like Nigeria if he's this parochial and vengeful. |
