His eyes have opened after supporting a confirmed incompetent leader. Unfortunately Nigeria have been set back badly and wickedly by APC govt that I doubt if we'll ever come out of this the same as previously. |
dignity33:Yes but when Saul started misbehaving his kingship was removed from him. Why did Nigerians vote Buhari the 2nd time after seeing that he has nothing to offer in his 1st term. You make mistake once, yes you could be forgiven so that you learn from it. You repeat the same mistake means, you're either jinxed or dull who like suffering. You don't experiment with national leadership, b/c so many things(life, destinies, respect, strength, etc) are tied to it. You have to look for the best-the brightest, wisest and smartest, not "siddon-look", unintelligible, uninspiring leader like the one we have today. |
Priest, businessman & politician all in one. He's now lamenting about Buhari and Hope Uzodinma. Unfortunately the red line has been crossed when people that supposed to be awake were sleeping. You can't elect a person-like Buhari twice and come back and complain that Nigeria is not working! Sorry, the suffering will not end until we tell ourselves the truth and do the right thing. |
powerbanks:Why you copy verbatim my contributions in another thread without any acknowledgement of me. That's intellectual robbery. https://www.nairaland.com/6514523/ganduje-dollar-videos-police-storm#100947436

I don't understand. Just by declaration? |
What good is this meeting when it has not yielded the necessary result. Kind of time wasting for me. |
DSS that couldn't provide sound intelligence to nip at the bud the incessant security issues, are always quick to arrest any voice of criticism. |
There was a country called Nigeria. Blessed lavishly with everything needed for greatness but failed repeatedly & woefully to find quality leaders to achieve it. Now on Self destruction mode unless we tell ourselves the truth and act fast. |
The greatest mistake of the century is voting Buhari to be President of Nigeria at this time. There are more better and reasonable northerners than this ex-general. |
Nigerians, the hand writing is on the wall. The enemies of Nigeria are in the open yet disguised with titles and positions. There was never one Nigeria or secular society. |
If Late President Deby had left the stage on time and not go for another term, he would not have suffered this calamity. Many African leaders never evolve or mature in leadership, they are same timid, greedy and power drunk fellows whose preoccupation is just to be number 1, and no one else. They think nothing or work nothing. |
Garba Shehu is unelected and shouldn't be telling Nigerians what to do. In a serious country, Patanmi should not only resign but should be investigated. And a government spokesperson is busy trying to defend the indefensible. Why is the legislative assembly silent? Nigerians should simply bycott the NIN registration until this minister do the honourable thing. |
Why did FG not declare a state of emergency in the north? or how much more of these barbaric killings before the government starts taking this serious? |
Until we call a spade, a spade in this country, we are not going to get out of this. Conspiracy of silence in the midst of carnage is big evil and a nation killer. Suddenly they all lost their voice because it is yet to reach their households. If it was under previous government, they would have shouted the country down. Oya rise and do something, dem no fit! |
They said PDP bad, PDP bad...but is APC not devil? Conspiracy of silence in the midst of carnage is that not evil? Something is not right with Buhari, and none of the people close to this government is patriotic enough to bail Nigeria from the grip of lawlessness. For El Rufai, in life everything is not about power, power,...now that you have got the power it seems useless in the midst of such security challenge. You have lost your voice too. We need people like Dora Akunyili in the cabinet to tell Nigerians what's going on. |
Until we call a spade, a spade in this country we are not getting out of this. It's gradually becoming a monster! These are the real terrorists. |
Nigeria is bleeding today because incompetents and bigots are in position of authority. The worst I have seen Nigeria since I was born. Security, unity, freedom and hope seems to have been choked to near death. |
He should never have presided over such a sensitive ministry with such bigotry background in a secular nation like Nigeria. How did that happen? DSS & Take-a-Bow senate failed to do their work. DSS head should resign as well. |
Talk and talk, no action, will talk again! |
Referendum is our earnest desire towards self sovereignty than asylum. Nigeria never worked ! |
With Buhari and his group on power, who will want to site a new important business office in Nigeria. |
milehigh06:That's where the fair play rules comes in, otherwise one day it will all ballon out of control. Surely, Football super stars should earn bigger money than their peers but not the monster money being thrown around these days, even for mediocre players. |
Ferizu:Well said! That's the wisdom only few people in Nigeria know, and only few act on it, but unfortunately plenty of Nigerians don't understand this, and they have repeatedly voted based on cash and carry. |
rockyh:My point is that the money paid to these stars are excessive. Yes, they generate money for the club but their salary and perks are abnormal. I doubt if the likes of Diego Maradona with all their magical prowess were paid this mad money. |
sterlingD:You made a good point. Where is the interest of fans in all these? What will fans had preferred? |
Of course Peter Obi would be the best candidate if Nigerians can see far. |
maasoap:I thought financial fair play was introduced to manage these excessive spending. The kind of money paid to some of these players is well too much and beyond understanding. They should tone down the extreme capitalism practised in football. |
DSS is not doing their work on intelligence gathering. |
Follow the money! It is all about the money! Yes they hanged it on survival, but these are big super clubs. If it is about survival, what then will be the fate of smaller clubs? |
May be this is an opportunity to practise true federalism or restructure. But whoever coalesced both legislative and judicial autonomy to the control of governors nearly destroyed governance at state level in Nigeria. No checks! No oversights! |
The chosen few versus the ordinary people. In Nigeria brand of democracy, the people doesn't really have any power, it is the chosen few that commands power. |
Looks like Hollywood actions. Controlled substance has set the world on fire. It fuels violence, weirdness and unbelievable acts. RIP cop! |
