"Mr. Language they understand" have spoken the language APC Lagos really misunderstood. Always know that spoken words are like visible thoughts from the heart. Let's see how it will end. |
Just like that, an appointment of one individual to a position of authority will cause over 70 others to be retired prematurely. Is that how they do in other military services in other countries? |
A good voice from the East speaking wisdom to the powers. Come down from your high horse Buhari and speak with these people and know what they are agitating for. I doubt militarizing the East will solve this problem. |
And we will be scamed again because we are too gullible and weak as citizens. |
One party system will do us no good. |
APC's sole aim is to destroy Nigeria. They make terrible and unbelievable decisions ![]() |
Do we even know that we have senate? Mediocre Senate President ![]() |
Well written and clear to understand. Buhari is doing Tom & Jerry fight with Nnamdi Kanu. Bandits are deadly and kills nearly every week but they are not designated as terrorists because the self righteous one in Ask Rock doesn't think so. But once it is about Biafra, he will leave every other thing to face Biafra. |
Curious345:You said my mind. This imbroglio has all signs of conflicting political interests. |
Igbos are the real grassroot Nigerians. |
Story! Storee! And Buhari you elected is one hell of detribalised Nigerian eh? You can have Okorocha as much as you like. And Igbos in their typical way will not vote him. If all want a quality Igbo person to lead Nigeria, they plenty for Nigeria. Not people like Okorocha or Orji Kali. May be to fulfill quota but again it will be same of same! |
I didn't bother to read all because I know it is the usual nonsense talk from a group of regards in the north. |
So finally these people causing mayhem in Imo State are not ghosts. You see why intelligence gathering is key in this kind of situation. Can the bandits in the north be arrested too, they too are not ghosts. |
I never know decomcracy can be weakened like this until APC came into power. What we called the rascalities of PDP was a child play compared to what's going on in current APC govt. Some elements in PDP can at least say NO! But these APC people are collectively too docile. Leaders of the legislative assemblies makes it look like they are appandages of the executive. The people they represent are kind of secondary interest. |
ablejesus26:My good friend, I ain't pitching war with IPOB. Wars often start subtly like this, when immatures minds battle on issues that can be talked over maturely. And the bad part of it is that many people would be senselessly consumed whether they are in support or not. You see, all these wahala can be handled maturely if there is any atom of sincerity. |
27Pushing30:Mistakes made already... 1. FG MUST get deep into intelligent gathering quickly, to zero around on the brains behind the carnage in SE. These people are flesh and blood, and not ghost. A reactive staccato responses doesn't show use or availability of intelligence. 2. They should stop being jumpy to make blanket accusations to citizens or groups, without any tangible investigation and arrests. It is not everything that bites in the night is mosquito. Already the rush to tag IPOB as terrorist organisation without convincing reasons, only boldened them to act as one. Wisdom demands that it is not anytime you are called out to fight, that you go fighting. In fact it is not all fight that is worth fighting. Who would have thought IPOB will be made this popular when few years ago even many Igbos see them as charade. But today many have started listening to them as FG keeps on proving them right. 4. Sometimes the presidency mix up IPOB and the rest of Igbos together, creating a sense of mistrust even to the non IPOBS. You see, they should be matured on the language they use, as I have said above. As a leader, reminding a section of a country, about the horrors of the past in a way that reads like a threat is unpresidential. The presidency should be speaking healing and unity, and not divisions and threats. 5. And the presidency should stop being parochial in discharge of his duty. Repeatedly making lopsided appointments in govt doesn't help Nigeria unity. A listening ear is a friend to peace and justice anytime. Let's be matured for once to move forward. |
Too bad! |
Anything to encourage him is welcomed. BTW is Champion Newspaper still existing? Iwuanyanwu Newspaper. |
The language used by IPOB and FG is really worrying. This will only achieve one thing - destruction. War rhetorics have never helped anyone. FG should rise above pettiness and descalate this tension building up. It will not end well on both sides if this tit-for-tat continues. |
Agadagbachiriuzo 1, Ana egbu Achara, - these are strong man titles. It's just that death doesn't care about our exploits, successes and victories in life. RIP J. nwodo. |
I thought as much that politicians fighting each other is the main source of these recent blood letting and burning down of govt infrastructures. It was not like this at the beginning of this man's government, until he fought with politicians. They are making the state difficult to govern. |
So Nairaland will need license too . |
These are the ways elders talk. Wisely. I wish President Buhari would have handled things by speaking re-assuringly to the worried youths. I wonder why old age hasn't robbed on him to be wise enough not to speak in language that incite violence. |
humilitypays:My brother it is beyond understanding! An enigma of highest proportion. It is good that Igbos stood out in opposition to this anomaly while the rest of the country siddon dey look as if hypnotised. They are often deceived to believe that Igbos are the trouble makers but the smooth and quiet operators who work surreptitiously underground and hook their tentacles on every thing in Nigeria, is seen as the good ones. How this works is like magic! |
HedwigesMaduro:Yes, their outward perspectives as a nation is secular however Christianity (both nominal and practising) is still predominant. Those who identify as non religious, are gradually increasing. |
PARADIZEPRIEST:That's absolutely correct! |
Grayoso:How can there be one Nigeria if we all remain in our enclaves and fortes. How do we integrate if we don't move around. What is one Nigeria then? Is it the one they shout on radio and social media without substance? Go around and learn about other people, it will help you. If you remove the big cloud of prejudice against Igbos, there won't be complains if there is none. Talking about Igbos apprenticeship system, I think Asari Dokubo aptily educated Aisha Yesufu. You should give kudos to Igbos for inventing such system that have sustained their entrepreneural spirit with or without formal education. It has been published recently by Havard Business Review. If you wanted the model, why not go and under study it? Have you asked to be tutored and they refused? |
Sipsum:People are free to air their opinions my good friend. That's the dynamism of human beings. Don't shush people because their opinion irritates you. Igbos are entitled to their own opinion and please do respect it. How they go about what they want should not be your problem unless you have solved all your own problems. |
SegFault:They grew as Christian countries and brought Christianity to many parts of the world including Nigeria. Potentially going more secular today. |
plaindealer:How is it your problem? Yes, we are paranoid, about neighbours who never wish us well. You haven't worn the shoes so have no idea how it pains. If you are satisfied with the life you are living in Nigeria, it doesn't mean others do. And why if anyone tries to reason and engage in healthy conversation, you quickly shout IPOB. |
Sipsum:You see my friend. If there is any tribe that adapt fairly well to any environment, it is the Igbos. They are the ones that actually practised the so called "one Nigeria" by going to every nook and crannies of Nigeria to trade and live unlike some of you here. Inspite of what they went thru during the war, they've let go of the past to embrace so called Nigeria of the future until recently when they were reminded that they dont have a real stake on Nigeria project. And they said, okay, let's go our own way then. But people like you on Nairaland, neither want them to go in peace nor stay and continue Nigeria project on their own terms. If they ask questions, you complain! If they keep quiet you complain! Are you not paranoid about Igbos really? |
plaindealer:You go wait tired! I no blame you. |
