Na dis one dem go run talk. What is the connection between a peaceful protest, with that of an unverified attack on the Hausa community. So this folks left the main issue and rushed towards tribal lines. Fulani herdsmen have being causing havoc everywhere, yet you won't hear their voice? They kept mute when Boko-Haram went about slaughtering innocent Nigerians. Hypocrisy of the highest order! |

Godwin Isenyo, Kaduna A northern socio-political organisation, Arewa Consultative Forum, has asked the Federal Government to check the activities of pro-Biafra groups in the South-East of the country. The group said the nation could not afford to engage in another civil war 45 years after the Biafra ended. A statement by the ACF on Wednesday condemned last Tuesday’s attack on the Arewa community at Elelenwa Junction in River State by members of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra. The statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the ACF, Alhaji Muhammad Ibrahim, said the activities of the pro-Biafra groups could cause a crisis in the country if left unchecked. He said, “The attention of the Arewa Consultative Forum has been drawn to a fracas between some members of the Arewa community at Elelenwa Junction of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and the members of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra on Tuesday, November 11, 2015. “The ACF learnt that the MASSOB activists were alleged to have disrupted the peace in the cattle market at Elelenwa Junction, Port Harcourt, where properties were alleged to have been looted. “The prompt intervention of the security agencies saved the situation from degenerating into a communal conflict. The sad news was really disturbing considering the likely ripple effect it might have caused and its unimaginable consequences in other parts of the country. “The ACF also called on the Federal Government to take a decisive action against any group or individuals that want to disrupt the unity and progress of the country. “The ACF commends the security agencies for their prompt action just as it commended the Rivers State Government for taking necessary measures that brought peace to the Elelenwa Junction Market. The ACF also commends the state government for condemning the action of the MASSOB agitators.” http://www.punchng.com/check-pro-biafra-groups-acf-tells-fg/

coolscott: Guy you have been exposed. No one would make the mistake of saying "I'm from Jaja's compound" when it there's no compound named Jaja's compound. That was a cheap answer you groped out for because you thought it had to be that there's a compound called Jaja's compound #DIPLOMATICSELFAMPUTATION What you folks don't know is that the dude Jetjacky was right in a little way. I wanted him to be specific, but he coulnt due to some setbacks. King Jaja is not a war canoe name, but Jaja as a name is. Jajas family has 3 war canoe house, the largest in Opobo. |

Truckpusher: Thank you manny4life I have always respected your straightforward view on sensitive issues. [s]The problem is that some persons are saying that at all cost that no Igbo land on Rivers State soil and Delta state would be left behind by any means necessary and last time I checked there are no Igbos in these states that have come out to fully identify with them except for some mischevious dudes that keep propping up fake monikers claiming to be coming from such places.
Funny enough the moment we the true sons of these places they've been claiming to be Igbos open up and tell them that the mentality of these people and the ideology they hold about the Igbos and their own distinct identity will not allow for[/s] such pipe dream to materialize , we are usually insulted and called names so I personally made it a point of duty to be unmasking their lies which reeks of nothing but expansionist agenda.
Tell them, you can't start in emancipating yourselves by forcing another man into your dreams of emancipation. You'll hit a brick wall
The truth is by cultural and the general opinion from these places where I am one of them - It would be sweat and blood for these people to join the Igbo man into any form of alliance without their interest clearly protected and well documented and the renaming of Port Harcourt and the claiming of some part of Rivers State as belonging to the Igbos has dimished any atom of unity we had over years of staying together because it is now obvious to all and sundry that the same agenda being pioneered by the oppressive Nigerian state is the same agenda that Ipob/Igbo/Biafra is pioneering but like I have said it would be sweat and blood and history might repeat itself. Its careless statements like this that cause problem between my people and some Izon expansionist from Bayelsa. Stop claiming the territories of any Igboid group in Rivers whether through trick or disguise. Stay in your lane, while we stay in ours. P/H is an Ikwerrre property, unless the small waterfront areas claimed by the Okrikans. Any attempt to claim any more territories shall be well dealt with. |

Truckpusher: Your cup of tea bro.
Any Opobo man that opens his mouth to say that opobo is an Igbo town is suffering from cultural identity crisis.
Of course there is no family in Rivers State where you won't find an Igbo gene.
We marry them every now and then but that doesn't still make you an Igbo man - You have your own distinct identity and that counts.
From your narration it is obvious that you have not spent much time at home or anywhere close to home but you were eager to say that opobo is an Igbo town.
Please ,go ask your Dad about who you are because if you prolly grew up under your Mom your head would have been twisted for sure - No offense but that's the truth.
What you said would earn you a slap in Opobo town and not this advice you're getting from me free of charge. He is a Jaja and basically all Jajas, Uranta, Peterside, Cookey-Gam etc tend to cleave towards the Igbos. Many will even tell you they are Igbos. This is a fact. A good example is Jeki V Amanayabo Dandeson Jaja, Mary Uranta a famous Igbo Nollywood actress, Rivers Governorship aspirant Adol Peterside and Adasa Cookey a notable music video producer. Now check the names. |

Opobians especially from the Jaja family don't associate with IYC. If you are in doubt, check the names of your members and tell me if you can find anyone there. That dude is a Jaja, so you should learn to respect that. The Jajas tend to look towards Amaigbo. |

kel4soft: Those guys are fettish to be frank. They didn't allow us bury my uncle the proper christian way. Storm our house and demanded we give them their property. Jaja was ''Ikpangi' (juju) himself, I believe that should be his favourite. Haha! They just want to preserve their cultural rights. Moreover, your late uncle as a true son of the soil had to be given a final farewell rite. All Opobo sons when buried usually pass through that process. Very funny. |

Politics › Re: Rivers Elders Reject Biafra by Eastlink(m): 11:36pm On Nov 13, 2015 |
kel4soft: I just gave you an answer that deserves your question cos you can't have just a Senibo which is a junior title in a compound to head a house. Go back from who is teaching to let him know a Senibo cannot head a polo which are conjugate of some houses (compound). Ok so name the two Chiefs of Stewart and Toby house. |

kel4soft: Eastlink I know you want to know about Opobo but you must learn first before asking. Senibo is a title for men that have come of age in a compound. So Stewart and Toby' s compound that makes up Kiepriema have several Senibos, Warisenibos and AmaOpu Senibos. What you should ask who are the chiefs of Stewart and Toby's compound respectly. I know a lot about Opobo. You got the Kiepriema right. Now tell me the next answer. |

those noting should note he who claimed to be a citizen of my land, has been dodging my questions and only throwing little punches But you fall hands, why don't you know your war canoe house. You know an Opobian by his surname, which reflects his wari. Sorry to bust your bubble, but I doubt if you're truly from Opobo. Unless you prove me otherwise. As for Kel4soft he own is even worse. He keeps hampering he is from Opobo, but you'll be shocked to see that he is nowhere close to that place. I get pissed off when folks claim to come from a place they are not. |
