Hello Guys. I want to make inqiuiry about SRNE LIFEPO4 Batteries. Has anyone here tested the SRNE batteries? Are they up to their advertised rated capacity? I know many people have reported on this forum have reported that that Felicity batteries are not up to their rated capacities. Has anyone tested SRNE capacities and is this brand a good brand? |

bigl: Yeah, it is but they've changed this plan at the moment to 200gb but at full 5g speed (according to my supplying agent) ... if u exhaust the 200gb before 30days validty, u will be given 10gb daily.....
But currently, i'm on the unlimited 20mbps ... and in january or so, i used over 650gb
The other plans are still ok: 40mbps for 35k, 60mbps for 50k (unlimited) You said you are currently on the unlimited 20mbps but airtel said they are no longer doing the 20K own again. Only the 35K own and the 50K own. How are you still able to do the 20K own |
Phones › Re: Please Guys: Which Unlimited Data Do You Use. by easyyoke: 8:39pm On Apr 19, 2024 |
bigl: Yeah, i think that what they call it EBB.
In areas where there is not 5G, it seamlessly (without u noticing sef), swtiches back to 4G...
Yeah ... i do run the test ... i get 19/20mbps and sometimes, it can come low like 5 mbps but for the purpose of my downloads, sending 4k video files to google drive for clients to download (clients in US/Europe), downloading of some materials/footages for work, it works pretty fine for me...
And for that 20k price, its just the perfect balance between getting more bang for your box and paying less ....
Check this thread for 1 or 2 speed tests i've conducted...
Its not as fantastic as Starlink o but presently, from 28th of January till today, i have used 388gb which is not bad at all ... Bro, Airtel said they are no longer doing the 20K unlimited speed based data again. How true is this please? |

Debroslink: I have a bluetti power station and wanna pair it with an external lifepo4 battery. The aim is to increase the Wh capacity.
1. Is it a good combination?
2. How will I charge the battery since I don't have an inverter?
3. Will I need a charge controller for the battery? This is a stressful combo. It is workable but in the long run stressful and expensive. First of, you will need a separate charger for your battery which will be either an AC charger or a solar charge controller with solar panels ofcourse. Next you will need a DC to DC buck converter. If your lifepo4 battery is 12V, the DC to DC converter will raise the voltage to maybe 24V or 36V or 48v to be able to charge the power station(depending on the voltage configuration of your Bluetti which Bluetti sometimes does not publish). Then you will connect the input plug of your Blueeti(Which you will have to buy separately and then work it to your buck converter). Your buck converter draws power from your battery and sends it to your powerstation. Your powerstation would think you are sending in solar power to it. Your buck converter also loses power when it is converting(efficiency loss). The inverter in your power station also has efficiency loss. In the long run, it doesnt really make plenty sense. Just use the power station separately on its own. Then buy an inverter separately for your battery. Else you will on the long run spend more than you should and also lose power when your buck converter is drawing power from your battery |

odimbannamdi: Hahahahaha...I am just seeing now that he mentioned inverter freezer. Inverter inverter inverter just full everywhere... Missed it earlier jare. Thanks for the correction.
Meanwhile, does anyone inverter freezer perform as optimally as a normal freezer particularly in the area of retention of ice? I am really looking to port to an inverter freezer. I want to my major appliances to be very energy-conservative It works much better than a conventional fridge. Rather than the compressor switching off and jumping back on(surge) every cycle, inverter freezers and fridge just keeps adjusting how the compressor works inline with your thermostat. I have both an inverter Freezer/Fridge combo from LG and a Theremocool Freezer only variant and I can say these are one of the best things I put my money on. My LG consumes just 720wh in 24hours. That is like 30w. I have not seen anything that efficient in my life😂😂 I dont even bother switching it off atall again . If you have not moved, move to LG immediately. Dont go above 350L though. 350L downwards(uses 30w - 75w). Unfortunately, the price has really surged up maybe because demand is now much. I bought 320L from Fouani for 352K December 2022, It is now close to 700K |

odimbannamdi: The inverter should be able to carry this deep freezer. I power my 80w Haier Thermocool deep freezer with just the 1600w and it works. Give it a try. To increase the chances of it working, try these out though:
- Put on the inverter when the battery is well charged (at least 12.6v for a 12v system). If you are on solar, you should be hitting this by even 10am
- Put off ALL the appliances in the house and put on the deep freezer first. This will give the inverter enough headroom to accommodate the surge of the deep freezer
- As a last resort if you try the two points above and the inverter still trips on overload when you put on the freezer, leave it (the deep freezer) on, then switch off the inverter and put it back on so that the freezer will come on along with it.
If all three methods don't work, then upgrade the inverter He does not need all this na😅. It is an inverter freezer. Inverter freezers do not start with a surge like typical freezers or refrigerators. The compressor starts from 0W and climbs slowly to the rated wattage which in most thermocool freezers is 150W. His own is even 140W, so he will be fine even with a 500w inverter. I use a 300w car inverter with my inverter freezer and works just fine |

RickyM: Good morning to great Nairalanders🫡🫡🫡 Since my inverter got fried by lightning and it’s yet to be fixed and man never guide to buy another as I’d love to get a reliable one when I’m making a purchase. I want to know if it’s fine to run the attached freezer picture on this inverter. It’s a thermocool inverter freezer so energy efficient and the start up voltage isn’t high. Your opinions are welcome If that inverter is not genuinely a pure sine wave inverter, that Thermocool freezer will not work. And I dont trust all these chinese rebranded generic inverters. They will write pure sine wave on them and most times they are actually modified sine wave. Your thermocool freezer will just on light but will not freeze. I have a thermocool freezer like that, that does not accept any dirty sine wave of electricity. It is only LG inverter Fridge that are a little forgiving if your electricity is not pure sine wave. But if it is a true pure sine wave inverter, you are good |

Oshomo12: Sorry to hear about the inverter. Was it connected to the grid? I keep saying this, and will say it again: if you don't have resources to install/correct the earthing system in our house, please don't charge/connect your inverter via grid. If you must charge via grid, you MUST be there to monitor it. Once you sense rain or a storm coming, DISCONNECT YOUR SYSTEM COMPLETELY FROM THE GRID. This issue of lightning frying Inverters, is this limited to only All in one inverters or can this happen to stand alone inverters too |

otis54: My Starlink went offline overnight and I’ve tried switching it off and on, disconnecting and reconnecting the cables at both ends (Starlink and router), I even tried resetting the router but I’m still offline. Whenever the router is trying to calculate orientation, it goes offline immediately and stays offline. Messaged support this morning, took all the necessary pictures and after a few minutes, I got a reply from support that a new cable has been sent to me at no extra cost. Through my Starlink account, I can see they are preparing the shipment. Hopefully, the cable arrives as soon as possible. Starlink is really trying when it comes to customer support. Bro, when did you buy your starlink and when did you report this issue to starlink. I am having thesame issue, but when I unplug and replug the cable like 5 times, it eventually picks. This happens almost everytime I switch off the router. I have to unplug and replug the cable like 3 to 5 times before it eventually comes back online. I have been suspecting that the cable has issues but its been over a year since I bought my starlink so I have been thinking even if I contact support, they may say I should pay for new cable since my starlink is over a year now. When did you buy yours and how long between then and the time you contacted support for the issue maybe I may still be eligible for free new cable too |

TechGeek777: This is part of the reason hybrid inverter is better.
Wait to hear the cost of getting MPPT with Bluetooth, you will see that hybrid is far better! My system is not large, my load is under 500w so I cant be using Hybrid. That is just waste of efficiency . |

PV is 15KWp (16x 600w Canadian Solar Panels. 10x 540w Felicity Solar Panels) Inverter is Deye 8KW EU Model x2 in parallel Battery is Felicity 15KW x4 in parallel though capacity test topped off at 13.5KW. So I have 54KW Battery literally. Interesting. What did you use to test the battery’s capacity. I have always known that these Felicity batteries must be overated. Imagine a whole 1500kwh short. What did you use for the capacity test to take the reading |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by easyyoke: 4:43pm On Mar 31, 2024 |
jonescosmos: Nope. It's because the solar panel energy is oversized and the Grid has been made the last option to draw energy from. So the inverter draws as much power as possible from the panels, Charges Battery if the SOC is less than 60%, Powers up the smartLaod interface which is where Water heaters and ACs are connected. With one ACs connected to the UPS Load interface. If at night time and the battery SOC drops to 40%, the SmartLaod Interface shuts off, and if the Battery SOC drops further to 20% and the sun is not up, Grid interface is turned on to handle the energy demands till sun up. Take a look at the attached picture. It's 10Am and am grabbed more than 6Kw from the panels already. It goes up to like 15kw sometimes. Omo!!!!! Bro, how many panels in total(Watt) did you install for you to be seeing as much as 6kw as early as 10am |

isangjohnson: Very hard to find such in Naija. Two months ago, I was searching everywhere for 12v 2.5kva to 3kva hybrid inverter and I couldn't find it. At last, I bought it from China. Just what I thought. Importing Victron from the UK seem like the only option at the moment. They seem to be the only reputable brand with a 48V inverter less than 1000w power even though it is quite expensive. I dont want to buy from Aliexpress. I fear these faceless Chinese guys🥲 |

isangjohnson: This analysis is applicable to those who want to freeze their rooms with 16°C temperature. My parlor AC is 1.5hp consumed 1.2kw and I used it mostly during the day at 20°C. My room AC is 1hp consumed 1kw and I used it mostly at night with the temperature range of 26°C to 28°C consuming 500w max and I still woke up to see 50 60% of my battery left. We know how to manage RE. The write up is for normal cold AC use sir. Not for “let me conserve power and put it to 28degree” kind of use sir. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by easyyoke: 8:30pm On Mar 19, 2024 |
TechGeek777: Am sure the amount of this will get him 24v 2kw hybrid inverter with high Voc and some change for cables, breakers and surge protectors. While this is correct, there are other things at play that is much greater than the issue of upfront cost. Like I said earlier, my load is just 350W. Buying an inverter greater than 1000w is a waste of inverter efficiency. Inverters waste a lot of power when they are not at full load or close to full load. So running a 350w load on a 2000w is a total waste of effeciency. Also the bigger an inverter, the more the idle power consumption of the inverter. Why should I have a 350w load and only my inverter is already consuming 50w😃. Another factor at play, my battery will be an EG-4 5.12kw LIFEPO4 battery(51.2v, 100ah). I can charge it to full charge in 2 and half hours with just 40Amps or 20Amps if I want to wait for 5hours. This same capacity of battery will require 80Amps at 24v if I want to fast charge it in 2hours. 80A will even be too much for the battery. Asides the amount of heat 80A current will carry. 40A will work in 5hours but the inverter efficiency will be a problem but I get you sha. Thanks boss |
