It was paid per week. Worked 8-6.

I just worked the first week after which I never returned. It was just kinda stressful. The money wasn't even used for tangible things.

True
I remember when I told my parents that I registered for Computer Science in Jamb. They were just hollering that I should buy change of course form and change it instead to computer engineering due to that professional courses is seen to be the only lucrative way to financial stability. At the end, I didn't change and I can say that choosing Computer Science is one of my best decisions in life which I haven't regretted one bit.

Chiggsglover:
BLACK is the absence of Colour

Way back in my primary school, I had lots of friend, we read books a lot, played ball, swarm in unimaginable places like in a flooded area and even in the Lagos lagoon, we attempted it, hahaha. 2019, 3 months before I came to Ireland, I visited that lagoon and it was quite filthy, to be honest. When I got to secondary school, my parents also relocated with me, I became lonely, I turned to the comfort books could give me. I read a lot, especially those Ghanaian books that's very short, our parents then thought we were addicted mostly my friends mum who kept seizing their own and throwing them away. So we saved our pocket money to buy those printed pleasures, parents couldn't buy for us and they thought that being broke will discourage us, just as the irish government here add a special tax to cigarettes and alcohol in a way to discourage consumption. When I'm shopping, instead of buying 3, I only go home with 1.

Some of the time I will read faster than I could buy them and turn to the dictionary, reading from A-J, falling asleep and continuing when I woke up. In one of this times, reading the dictionary is like the bible, it never gets old at all. I came across the word BLACK a number of times. It never stood for anything positive. From the cartoons to the Pulpit.

My pastor then, before they bought the AC, with sweat dripping profusely, made the distinction between the force of good and evil, light and darkness, White and Black and oh boy, even the children animations had Jesus in the light with one hideous creature lambasted with black caricatures as The Devil why then will anyone associate me with such.
You don't want to fall in any category that's not whitish as you'll be in the scenario where Father Abraham cleared the Rich man that he cannot leave the dark place of tormet to the peaceful light where lazarus sat, that there even a great gulf between them. Those thither can't come to the other side. It's clear that God is angry with those in the dark everyday.

I have been called black and would often pause not Knowing the implication until now and the history is so horrifying that it feels like it's repeating itself in this age of advancement, Negro is what they called us while they whipped us even sometimes till death and even when you survived, you'll continue to provide food for the plantation farmers and community with your blood dripping. That same Negro means Black.

The implication of this has its effects, I have never been happy when PHCN takes the light, weeping may endure for the night, but Joy cometh....African women and even men are beginning to be ashamed of what makes us African in the first place, their skin colour is a thing of filth and poverty and they rip out the blackness with damaging chemicals, women covering their curly beautiful hair with expensive straight hair that won't last up to a year. Some Caucasians even buy locs and attach to their hair, who's deceiving who. We now feel the texture of our hair is a liability, spend loads money of corossive chemicals to take out the curls out of your hair, later on these hair starts to break and become scanty. Have you seen our teeth, we have one of the best in the world, I close my eyes a lot here when it's time to kiss, lost of yellow teeth here, it's almost normal. You need to see how they compliment my skin especially how smooth it is. The way one was even licking my body, I almost felt used. Haba. I used to think when I was in Nigeria that my skin wasn't smooth enough and my teeth wasn't neat due to misconceptions and preconceived bias.

Never let any one call you a black man, follow the news, when an African person achieves something, they mention his name and even his country of origin, but when he misbehaves like in Grand theft Auto, the word black will appear glaringly.

I have to educate myself henceforth, Caucasians not white, what is even white in their skin? What is even black in my skin. I am six feet tall African man with brown skin and brown eyes, only thing black in me is my hair which other races has. Take a sample of charcoal, it's very very few in the population will match that shade of colour. We are supposed to be light in the world, like salt....the average Caucasian is cream colour, pink sometimes, never white, take an A4 paper to their skin and they'll go red with that comparison.

Bias and preconceptions are very subtle, from the art of war, silence and indirect approach are powerful. Never let anyone call you black, politely educate them, even the Africans chanting BLM are also in the wrong. I did a little bit of research and got enlightened. So glad exam is over. I would have written to the Irishtimes, but my words will fall on deaf hear unless we are in number so it can be amplified. I will continue to create awareness even if it means starting an NGO or something to put the word out. I know I have a voice, you also have a voice and when it's time to use it against wrongs, let's scream ALOUD.

I'm proudly an African man
Hmm... True words. As I'll always say, "I'm human before anything". Before any color, tribe, religion and so.

I still remember those Ghanaian mini books, mostly those that were about supernatural things, where they talked about morals. They were the bomb growing up.

Sports'barcelona Risk Becoming Man Utd Or AC Milan' - Victor Font by Eaztzide(op): 12:12pm On Jul 17, 2020
Barcelona risks "becoming a new AC Milan or a Manchester United" in being unable to compete for major honours, says club presidential candidate Victor Font.

Font is set to challenge current president Josep Maria Bartomeu in 2021.

Rivals Real Madrid won their first La Liga title in three years on Thursday.

Font said Barcelona risks being "one of the most successful clubs in Europe that is now not able to compete for the top titles".

Font, who has been working on his presidential "project" since 2013, says the club faces a "perfect storm" in replacing a key generation of players, renovating the Nou Camp and dealing with the after-effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

"Competition over the last decade has become more and more professional," he told BBC Radio 5 Live's Euro Leagues podcast.

"You see in the Premier League with clubs well managed, and even states owning clubs to put in a lot of money at a time where the finance of the club and economic model is stretched to the limit.

"Unless we do what we are trying, Barca has the risk of becoming a new AC Milan or a Manchester United."

AC Milan last won Serie A in 2010-11 while Manchester United have not won the Premier League since 2012-13.

'Messi is unhappy'

Barcelona captain Lionel Messi said "things have to change" as the club lost out to Madrid for the title, calling the team "weak" and "very inconsistent".

Businessman Font is currently the only candidate set to challenge Bartomeu.

Part of his vision is to bring the club's former midfielder Xavi back as head coach. Quique Setien is currently in charge while Xavi is manager of Qatari side Al-Sadd.

He also wants to ensure forward Messi remains at the club despite his contract being set to expire in 2021.

"He is unhappy and doubting what to do next," Font added. "He is probably a bit frustrated as year after year he is not able to win, especially the Champions League. That's where the focus needs to be.

"We want to ensure he understands if we were to run the club from next summer onwards, we would put all the conditions to equip him in the best possible way so the last years of his career here he can still aspire to win a couple of Champions Leagues."

SportsRe: Why And When Did You Start Supporting Your Favorite Football Club? by Eaztzide:
2007 (Rooney was my favorite then). I remembered when my mom bought me one blue short with Man United logo on it. I think that's where the love started from. I loved Manchester United but I also had side chicks (Arsenal and Liverpool) because I used to love the color red. But when I entered secondary school, I saw everyone supported only one team and I had to decide which to be loyal to. I chose the red part of Manchester and I've never regretted making that choice. Funny thing is that I'm the only Man United fan in my family, everyone is Chelsea, so my choice wasn't influenced by family or peer pressure and neither their winning history because that time, I didn't even know they used to win Premier League.

SportsLeroy Sane To Join Bayern Munich From Manchester City by Eaztzide(op): 8:22pm On Jun 30, 2020
Manchester City have agreed to sell winger Leroy Sane to Bayern Munich.

The Germany international will join the Bundesliga champions for an initial fee of about £44.7m in a deal that could rise to £54.8m.

Sane, 24, joined City from Schalke in 2016 for £37m and has won two Premier League titles with the club.

He was a key component in the City side that claimed a domestic treble last term, but has spent much of this season out with a knee injury.

City manager Pep Guardiola said last week that Sane, whose present deal was due to expire at the end of next season, had refused the offer of a new contract and wanted to leave.

The player is now set to travel to Germany in the next 24 hours to complete the transfer.

Although he cannot play for Bayern in the Champions League this season, it is understood Sane will not return to City and has played his final game for the club.

City have also negotiated a 10% sell-on clause, with the fee representing their largest ever outgoing transfer deal.

It is also understood City were unwilling to get close to the estimated £20m annual salary Sane will receive from Bayern.

Although the Premier League club did have the option of keeping Sane for the final year of his contract, they felt it would have been counter-productive under the circumstances.

Quite apart from the player's desire to leave, and potentially do so for nothing in 12 months' time, Sane is yet to prove his fitness after suffering a major knee injury during the Community Shield in August.

They also believe they have are plenty of options in the wide positions, with Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez, Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling all options.

Sane has been in the matchday squad for all four City games since the season resumed earlier this month.

However, his only appearance was for 11 minutes as a substitute in the 5-0 win against Burnley last Monday.

Sane departs the Etihad having made 192 appearances for City, scoring 52 goals for the club in all competitions.

So today, as I was doing my usual research and internet surfing, I decided to go on Wikipedia to check on some things. While I was doing so, something told me to search for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on Wikipedia and me being a Man United fan, I was reluctant but decided to do so. I also wanted to check why he chose to play for Gabon instead of France where he was born. On checking clubs he played for in his senior career, I saw Mickey Mouse Club as his recent team. It was hilarious at first but on clicking it, I saw Arsenal page. My laughter knew no bounds. These are the photos;
