nduchucks:before you term all my submissions as bigotry, it may interest you to know that I am a 100% Hausa Fulani, I live in the north kano and Jigawa to be precise. you can just ask me for further explanation if you don't know what am talking about, cause personally I really do. one of my referees runs a foundation that tries to rehabilitate Almajirai and other destitute. he use to have a radio program on Freedom Radio every Wednesday of which the issue of begging is one of the most discussed; with all the necessary research data and statistics. at a point the program generated outrage from many people involved in the Almajirai business. Regarding the points I raised, let try and break it down further for you. 1. all children under the average of 15 are sole responsibility of their wards. subtract the kids from the total number of beggars and you know they reduce significantly. ( I don't wanna give estimate since am obvious bad at it). 2. Same rule applies to females under NO circumstances are females allowed to fend for themselves in a Muslim community (you may ask for details). subtract females from the remaining beggars also. 3. as I said above I am a witness, I know many 'beggars' who have enough money to rent apartment and even give other people credit! 4. Sule Lamido introduced 7000 Naira allowance to the beggars many of them rejected it, they say that they make more than that. in conclusion I think the best solution is that every beggar shall be taken care of by their relatives. those that lack such shall habilitatd by the government. I rest my case. |
nduchucks:in as much as I agree with most of your points, I disagree that most have nothing/nowhere else to go/do. it's only a tiny fraction of all those beggers that sincerely need alms. again most those genuine beggers can get 3 square meals daily from their immediate neighbours and relatives. take children out of the picture because it is 100% absolute responsibility of their parents, to not only feed and cloth them, but to also educate them with a means of making a legal living. those with disabilities in many cases you will find out that they even have more than one wife and depend solely on begging, without even trying to get a skill. bottom line is they make a lot of money in begging that most will not agree to be kept in a retirement home. many of them are above average Nigerian poor, some even have businesses run for them by other people. the final point is why must it 99% Hausa people that beg? even in Saudi Arabia.? |
is it Makkah or Madinah? there's a difference. |
mikidoo1:LMAO! quiet literally it does! |
where d husband, abi wife? |
may Allah accept it as an act of Ibadah, Ramadan Kareem. |
Luedave:heheheheh Guilty here! BTW I believe they will still extend it till January, so nothing do me. ![]() |
jeffizy:the fact that both are from the SW is the main reason Fayose is protesting. he feels like the most veritable PDP governor in SW if not whole Nigeria is himself. he failed to notice that his rascality against Buhari has made him appear not gentleman enough to be the leader. |
peeta89:did you go to the Mosque and they turned you back? |
why dem no go south pole since they from the south? am JK. nice one Sha I love adventure, but na Mars be my dream if I couldn't then I will just chill on the moon. if I can't do one then the ISS. Ok even NigComSat I must reach space o God willing |
vedaxcool:Bros all these Ramadan feeding is politics and a conduit means to siphon people's money. I live in kano but I can tell you I only saw these so called trucks distributing Ramadan food only twice since Shekarau time! there is a system in Islam to take care of the nonprevillaged, especially under Zakat, which is not tied down to Ramadan. There is nothing wrong with the ban. so carry on. happy Iftar. |
I am a Chemical Engineer and right now all I want is to work at the new Nuclear Power plants to be built in Kogi and Akwa Ibom. wish me luck, and am confident I have what it takes to be part of it. |
I don't read this day news. |
kennygee:Haba why take it all out on the Arabs just because their women wear Hijab? FYI you have to have a person on your freinds' list before the could be able to like your post. or are you telling us you have plenty Arabs on your freinds list? |
keep deceiving yourselves with school names while one guy from state poly is employed by Chevron... |
agarawu23:I don't know your culture Sha, but 4 my place if she doesn't like you she won't even accept your gifts (in most cases). this happened just last month, two of my friends were trying to woo twin sisters they met at a wedding. they took them shopping and the other one refuse to take even a chocolate, she said she was good! that's the sign to my guy that she is not into him and he backed out. anyway na village boy I be O. |
condralbede:that's how you get everything Islamic twisted! Hijab is mandatory on every Muslimah. while you don't have the right to force them wear it, you surely don't have the right to stop THOSE THAT WANT TO WEAR IT from wearing it. This where the problem is with you guys be it Islamic Banking, Hijab in schools, Sharia courts or what have you, and we claim to be living in a free society. if she decides to even wear bikini is her own cup of tea, but you have no right to use that as a yardstick to treat every other hijabite Muslimah. |
if you cut your wardrobe allowance by 80% we can start from there. |
Caseless:see don't encourage 'religious blackmail' as he puts it. fasting is no excuse for not working or not working efficiently! most Muslims are not affected by fasting in their works even those that do heavy work like firewood cutting, load pushers or stone breakers. many do it even under hot weather without even drinking water. her case to me is unacceptable. As I notice you just want to be lenient, I suggest you pay her half her salary (as payment for her reception and desk job) and employ a temporary staff to be doing the rest. FYI I am a Muslim also. Ramadan Kareem. |
buygala:see don't even bring that first republic coup issue up again, every sane person knows that that coup was purely based on tribal jealousy and hatred! How much did Sardauna and Tafawa Balewa had? |
emmasege:Are you guys series that Mikel can keep, or ya'all joking? Mattkent |
All of you castigating Lamido that he milked us dry or he didn't do anything don't know what you are talking about. Lamido is the second best governor JG has ever had. That been said (typed) I don't mean he should be allowed to go Scotland free or cut some slack on any wrong doing of his, his children or associates. |
#BF, COD is very over rated. |
funlord:I don't know o! last time I checked even Christianity is not against polygamy. or is it? |
The number one prerequisite on polygamy is if you can do justice to all of them, and this can be achieved by either scrapping the title, or all of them answer it! However those with one wife it could be that the wife is not interested, or the governor is not. |
cmax16:if he has a 2.1 why PGD? I thought you wanted to write PhD but then I saw it. anyway advise him to acquire a skill and try to make some money instead of waiting for a job that may not come early. best luck sha. |
it's too late for APC, better tread carefully, else PDP will capitalise on this and divide you too as you divided them. just congratulate him and keep quiet, after all he is a strong member of your party. else Ameachis case will repeat itself, only that you trade places with PDP. |
buro uba! zubarwa kenan! :Dburo uba! zubarwa kenan! |
ANBAKO:calm down, thus is not the first time he's leading a country. he knows what he's doing. ![]() |
Congrats and see you in NYSC camp, abi e no go do dat wan? :DCongrats and see you in NYSC camp, abi e no go do dat wan? |
had the president anointed Ahmad Lawan as his candidate all this wouldn't have happened. kudos to him though for been neutral. But APC has to be careful not allow these PDP converts undermine it's status. if Saraki wins he will become more loyal to the opposition than his party. |

.... The way these Nigerian politicians unconscionably loot Public resources is enough to make an ordinarily sane and law-abiding Nigerian go wild wild west and slaughter them and their Families
