Damayogenius18: We are starting tonight with a block topic heat and gases....under heat...we have 1 Temperature and measurement 2Thermal expansion 3Expansion of Gases and Gas Law 4..Heat Energy 5..Heat transfer 6..Vapour and SVP... Just read all up in 3days.....on the second day, there will be class from10-12...given summary on each....it is demanding but u can do it....I will go through jamb pq and get all question related to heat and gas....u know dat's not easy..so if I can do DAT,u can also do this....
PS ...this exercise is for ppl that does not really find physics difficult..if u found physics as s challenging topic,u will do well to enrol for tutorial....if u are in Ibadan,I recommend TEAM TUTOR...u will be surprise at the rate at which u will improve in physics.... is it 10pm-12pm or 10am-12pm? |

Damayogenius18: Reading group Day 16....due to many ppl dat just join and request,I device a plan to review topics we av done and as well finish up the remaining topics...so we are doing something I tagged block system... I divide physics in to 6 block part which are mechanics, heat &Gass law,wave&sound,Light,Electricity/magnetism and lastly, atomic physics& semi conductor..in the reading group,we av finished mechanics and electricity but we want to review it.. This how it goes...we will finish each part in 3days... U will read for 2days...their will be a class on the block topic the night of second day at 20 pm on whats app..u will be given 10 - 15 question to check ur understanding.... The third day we will finish up and everybody will come with different question and we all brainstorm....we move to another block topic... Make the class interactive too on Nairaland, so that, those that don't have access to WhatsApp can also benefit from the group. |

akanbidamilare: A friend of mine chose medicine but unfortunately, he scored 255. Due to age which was not by his side, he decided to change to a lower course like physiology with the aim of changing back to medicine after first year. So my question is: 1. can he change to medicine after first year? 2. is pharmacy accredited for him to change? (1) The chance to cross is very slim even though biochemistry, physiology and human nutrition faculties allow students to cross (2) I think Pharmacy has been accredited but it is not yet announce. |

A..0.3N..B 0.015N C..0.04N..D0.4N 2..A thin wire is bent in the form of rectangle of length 4m and breadth 3m...what force due to surface tension does the side experience when a soap film is formed in the frame( ST of soap = 0.03N/m)...A..0.107...B...0.0026..C..0.0084...D..0.023.. Show the solution to ur questions as you have promised dat when we are done with the topic, you will show their solutions. |

boyejo124: This is the first question
Dry steam at 100°C is bubbled into 500g of water originally at 20°C. What will be the temperature of the water after 30g of steam has condensed? Specific latent heat of steam is 2.26*10^6J/k, specific heat capacity of water is 4200J/Kg/k
And this is the second question
Calculate the total energy required to evaporate completely 1kg of ice that is initially at -10°C. Specific heat capacity of ice is 2.2x10^3J/Kg/K Specific heat capacity of water is 4.18x10^3J/kg/k Specific latent heat of ice is 3.34x10^5J/kg Specific latent heat of vaporization of water is 2.26x10^6J/kg..
pls (1) 54.99 degrees celsius or approx. 55 degrees celsius (2) 3034000J or 3.034*10^6J or 3034kJ |

Damayogenius18: Reading group alert!!!...it begin 2nit...may 7 - june7... recruitment is still going on....for science student,we are doing physics for one month....tonight we are doing 2 topics.."Work Energy and Power",Efficiency and Machine( levers, inclined plane,screw)... 1983 jamb pq...ui practice question related to the topics... The outline of both topics will be given on whats app.. You can still join if you are interested..
For art and commercial student, you just choose the subject and topic you want to read...just make sure that you finish a subject in a month.. since I am not on WhatsApp, you can send the outline of those topics treated yesterday and the outline of topics that will be treated each day to me thru email. Any information u have for the reading group on WhatsApp, u can also send those pieces of information thru email. I will really appreciate this...Thanks and God bless. Samsonyte: boss, no institution accept 2nd choice now, it is first choice, but wat u can do is datz u can apply for eksu or oou form without choosing them in jamb becos they dont fetch data frm jamb, so u can apply for their putme/screening and apply as first choice during the registration, so after the putme/screening exam the skul will advice u to change their institution to first choice in jamb, so it now depends on u whether u want to change it or not. Ok...Thanks |

How many times must he raise the object to expand this much energy? Assume that he raises it a distance of 2.0m each time. 2. Find the electrical energy expended by an electric labelled 100w in 8 sec. 3. A boy weight 10N is lifted from the floor to a table 2m above the floor, calculate the potential energy gained. 4. Two buses leave a bus station and travel im opposite directions from that same starting point. If the speed of nne is twice the other and they are 240km apart at the end of one hour, what is the speed of each bus? (1) 6.7*10^3 times when g=10m/s2, but if g=9.8m/s2, 6.8*10^3 times (2) 800J (3) 20J (4) 1st speed=240km/h, 2nd speed=480km/h |

Damayogenius18: .....for no 1...you can do it did way without calculator.... N/No = 1/2 ^n ...where n= half-life/timtaken to disintegrate...I.e n =( t1/2)/t....N= number of nuclei dat has disintegrated...No= Number of nuclei originally present....in this question, No=4g while N = 4 - 3.5 = 0.5...be careful here...a lot of ppl make sis mistake...3.5g is the no that has disintegrated while 0.5g is no remaining....so we have 0.5/4 = 1/2^n...0.5= 1/2..so we can say (1/2 * 1/4)= 1/2^n 1/8 =1/2^n..now we use index form 2^-3 = (2^-1)n...2 on each side cancel remaining the powers..so -3 = -n...so...n= 3..... But remember that n = (t1/2) /t...t = 10 days...so T1/2 = t * n...= 3 * 10days = 30 days..... since n=(t1/2)/t where t1/2=half-life, t=time to disintegrate. if n=3 and we were askd to find t and not t1/2, then it should be: 3=10/t t=10/3 Correct yourself there. I knw it might be a slip of mind. No offence meant bro. |
