am interested in the embedded programming but can you shed more light on how you intend to carry out such a training.

Antomy: i need someone to advice me here, am planning to apply for Civil Enginering @Uni uyo(first choice) and Project management@ futo(second choice). i hav OND in Civil Engineering since 2000 but i hav been working since then even to the point of opening my construction Firm.
These are my questions.
1) The uni uyo/futo require Upper credit but i had lower credit.
2)Any other univ accepting lower credit?
3)Is it possible to accept me considering years of experience and been a CEO of construction firm now?

Pls i need urgent reply and contributions .

What chance did i have?

1. uni uyo accepts lower credit
2. many oda schs accept lower credit, do a little research
3. your title of CEO does not count here, you will be accepted based on ur post-DE score.

they do take DE based on 100% merit. They have DE aptitude test

WhiZTiM: my learning style may be a bit odd, but . . . it works.
I learnt using a bit of books and the rest serendipitously...
I remember an inspiring moment for me the day I started, after having basic Idea of arrays, I went ahead thinking for the rest of the day and implemented a greedy bubble sort without knowing it!! After some days, I saw it in the book.! I think that boosted my morale so much that as shy as I was, I asked my 1st and ex-girl out!! (we are no more, she's bad market).
. . . . Well, back to the point. Whatever means, passion helps alot!

My learning style: for EVERY BIT I read or learn, I try to implement something much higher... NOTE, this considerably slows down learning time, but I get to know a whole bunch of technical details, 'why is this like this or that?', and ofcause brain trainning.

So, with that,... I learnt C++ alone as my PRINCIPAL LANGUAGE because my passion is Realtime and Systems programming...
I learnt Python 2yrs later when I started to deal with trivial problems and software testing.
I learnt php to make a few $$ which I join teams to develope websites...
Now, I have started Erlang... Hope to be quite good in writing realtime systems in it.. in the next 2years(no need for Rat race, C++ is my major).
... I, sign up for classes @ Coursera.
I do not have the privilege of attending, but I download lots of live video coverage of conferences and their papers inclusive!!

Its a passion! I never had a menter, a tutor or a guide... But today, I am a guide to many... Its just passion...

fellow nairalanders please advice me. I currently hold a national diploma in elect/elect engr but am currently running a degree program. Do you guys think i should include b.eng (in view) in my CV. Am applying for trainee operator

jiggo: @all, expect this hiccups. It happened during d 2010 recruitment exercise dt just got concluded. A lot of peeps r on it, so atimes it keepes giving these issues.
I rememba during my application (for d 2010) I applied more than 5times so tey I forget wetin I apply for...was lucky not to get disqualified.
Just make sure you Login with your username and password. Click on Upload documents by the bottom left of the site. Make sure your files are all in .doc or .pdf format and not more than 150kb.
Infact u can just fill d online docs, upload ur docs later.
To think that I scored 78% in d last exercise and still didn't get my leta only for me to see one dude dt had 43% get his. I don't wana stir any wahala here wt any tribe but this country needs deliverance sha.
Now am not qualified to apply again...smh.

many factors apply. Maybe the problem was You may be from an educationally developed state e.g Oyo. That means someone from oyo may score 80% and still not get shortlisted while someone else from Yobe state may score 50% and get shortlisted (federal character things).
