BusinessRe: Dangote: I'm Worth Much More Than Oprah Winfrey! by ebos(m): 12:10pm On Jul 10, 2007
Is Dangote free from corrupt practices? A business man who support every government policy that will benefit him against majority of Nigerians. Couldn't he speak out against some of these policies meant to help only them them Monopolize the market?. Where is Ibeto Cement today? I know he still want to monopolize the market for cement. He's probably an Innocent corrupt Businessman.

Before Bill Gate decided to give out a good percentage of what accrue to him, his name has since been a family one among the Orphans etc, and he has been known for supporting especially Africa countries in the fight agains AIDs, helping the less privileged, and so many other things in Africa, Asia and beyond. Tel me about Dangote, he has employed many Nigerians in his company - paying them peanuts.
BusinessRe: Dangote: I'm Worth Much More Than Oprah Winfrey! by ebos(m): 10:32am On Jul 10, 2007
Forget about Dangote, he is fond of plotting against his business rivals and he always throw his support to every government that comes, even when such government uses her policies to oppress the masses, and this helps to keep his businesses moving. He worked against Ibeto Cement, and he wants to corner everything to himself. Good for his success, but I have not heard his worth in orphanage homes, widows and other less privileged. After everything, 6ft remains our next self-contain room, but heaven is the best place to treasure. He should not allow his wealth to condemn him to everlasting hell. Let him emulate Bill Gate, who have shared a good percentage of his wealth to the less privileged.

I am Prophet Ebos, while I was sleeping today, I saw a vision of a guy trying to hold Betsena (the Poster) and the same time handing over a ring to her, then I tried to seek for interpretation of the dream, it was explained that the young guy the poster is talking about will surely be hers. But before this will come to pass, she should scratch N1,500 MTN card and send to me thru my email. The money of this card will be used to Book Mass for her and help the less privileged in the society. Please act fast, he is yours. The Lord is good, all the time.

Na wah O! People are undergoing mental and physical torture, others are discussing racial features.

Well a chinese couple has given birth to a negroid featured child.

Let's more importantly hope that these beasts did not rape the child.
Let us not go to raping issue, they have not been known for it. We know what they want, money and nothing else. These militants have mature people who monitor their activities and these mature men cannot allow their grand daudhter being raped. No much difference between a-3 year old baby and the one in the womb.

I believe with the Italian record - that hostage taking has taken its toll in the Niger Delta region since two years now, even when I was in Port Harcourt, some of my friends used to lure me into that deadly job. Perpetrators of this act gives one excuse to the other such as under development, inability of the oil companies to honour memorandum of understanding (MOU) the continued incarceration of the leader of Niger Delta volunteer force(NDVF) Alhaji Asari-Dokubo now released.
The business of hostage taking has continued unabated as the Nigerian nation is highly embarrassed in the International Community on hostage taking. According to the Director of crisis events of the Niger Delta peoples Volunteer Force (NDVF) Engr. Eradir Udeng stated that so many government officials are the one sponsoring the militants and when they are sent to negotiate with the militants they too, equally makes their own money and by so doing it become a re-occurrence.

@leilah,
All these attacks does not mean Nigerians hate, but we are to tell you the state of our minds, that is, we have to frown any negative move that will give satan an opportunity to operate in your home. You are not the Satan I mean here. You are really loved by Nigerians, no matter the way our reponses are to your post. In fact, I have come to love you more, because of the way you followed our responses. You didn't get annoyed despite all the attacks. You must be such a mature lady and responsible. So, why do you want to divorce your nice husband upon possessing all these qualities I have identified in you - patiently accepting all responses as expression of our individual opinions. Leilah, I repeat, Nigerians love you.
Christianity EtcRe: What Are the 'Spirit/s Of Poverty'? by ebos(m): 10:51am On Jul 06, 2007
I can say the real spirit of poverty in Africa, first, is man made i.e. greediness of our leaders, second one is laziness, third is lack of information.
CareerRe: Money Or Fulfilment: Which Do You Prefer? by ebos(m): 10:40am On Jul 06, 2007
Fulfillment and money is spouse to each other. As somebody said, it is only when the higher paid job is comparable to a lesser paid one that you can only talk or go for fulfillment, but if they are not comparable at all, you must opt for money, as long as our wants remain insatiable. Though, our inner minds will prefer fulfillment to money, but practically, money has proved to be more important then fulfillment. Zero money gives you zero fulfillments, that is, there will be no fulfillment without money. Money is the starting point of any fulfillment, but not applicable to divine matters.

Please get the point, according to Leilah their marriage is already working well, they are alreay enjoying a happy marriage and there is nothing wrong in their marriage presently. She said the Naija man is quite lovely and nice to her, and there is no single fault to nail our Naija brother. It is the white girl (Leilah) who want to scuttle their happy home because of what she thinks will happen in future (feeling her husband might dump her for a Nigerian girl), which there is no sign of dumping her existing presently. It is based on this that people are angry with the poster because she has a kid by the man, and the man is so caring and loving, then why is she thinking negatively about what she has not seen any sign of it happening.

@Wales
Nothing valuable comes so easy. Do not be discouraged in anyway, just bear in mind that those Nigerians who have made it there did not find it easy when they came. I can understand how you feel right now, eat today and think of what to eat tomorrow, especially now you have run out of money. Don't give up or regret why you came to US. I assure you God will see you through. Please, let all our Nairaland users who are in US render this guy every assistance he needs, as he has no person to sponsor him there. Remember, you encouraged him to come down, and I believe the encouragement was in order and I love it. The Living God who brought you to US safely will still lead you. I remember the biblical Abraham heading to a place he never knew, but God was there for him. So, my brother, those who made it US are human beings like you and they are not better than you are, you will make it like them, though, tough it may be. Just handover everything to God. I'm not a US residence.

@Leilah,
You can see how great Nigerians are, we know how to follow everything to make immobile stone respond to us. It seems you are now shifting from your earlier position. You told us, you want how to divorce your Nigerian husband period, no seeking of advise, nothing. But Nigerians have tried to tell you that If you think you're too small to be effective you have never been in bed with a mosquito, and that is why you have shifted to, what I want is, "if anybody can help me on how to become Ngozi to sustain my marriage." If you had told us this or given us a clear vision to know where to stand and what to stand for, we would have told you the life of our minds and hearts that will help you become like Ngozi i.e. Blessing to your husband. So, my sister, do not bother yourself for something that does not exist. You love your husband and he loves you too, so stop thinking of what is not happening now in order to keep the love moving and eventually your marriage. Nigerians love you.

So, Leilah, you really mean you want to divorce our brother? I thought you was joking when you pointed it out in the thread Used and Abused. You told us the young man was quite good to you but you don't believe him and was contemplating to divorce him. Remember you told us you already have a kid by him, now what will be the fate of the kid? I wonder why you want to divorce such a nice man. You are telling us (his brothers) that being good to white ladies doesn't pay. No wonder Nigeria man used and abused the other white girl which is still on this site. Think twice, hence the young man has done nothing wrong to you.
PoliticsRe: FG Might Remove Ribadu As EFCC Boss? by ebos(m): 3:51pm On Jul 04, 2007
Quite alright, there are some lapses on EFCC headed by Ribadu, and I still understand EFCC adopted a way of selective approach in fighting corruption, but the truth is that the gentleman (Ribadu) has done a wonderful job for this country. EFCC is dependent to the Presidency and his address to the Senate explained it all, "that the Prsesidency decides who should be prosecuted." I hope we have a lot to learn from his address and what the young man has been passing through. Obviously, he might have made some sincere moves to arrest these corrupt leaders but the President who decides who to punish or the reverse might have prevented him. Former Senate President (Ken Nnamani) saw this and wanted to pass a law to make EFCC independent so that Ribadu could have the power to perform, but those corrupt Senators played politics on it knowing fully well that as long as they continue to support Obasanjo, EFCC (Ribadu) would not touch them. Though, he is not the only person the cap fits, we have other people, but they will still not perform their best if placed in the same tight corner Ribadu was under Obasanjo. Now, Ribadu pushed to arrest former corrupt governors but Yaradua stopped him just the way Obasanjo might have done. Again, understand Nigeria tactics, bring in a new EFCC Boss today, and once a corrupt leader is penciled down, he will join opposition to divert attention that he's being hunted because he is from opposition. Note, Yaradua has said he has no intention to replace Ribadu.

Leilah:
Confused i am confused as to how the heck you ended up having two kids for this manhuh I mean I have one for a lovely naija man who took me to Nigeria too but as good as he is I would not end up pregnant again. The reality of it is nigerian men are best with their own women becuase they will put up with them. don't be disheartened, they do worse to their own women and I can verify that.

As happy as we are I am contemplating divorce because I actully don't believe him that he is happy although he respects me and has done absolutely nothing wrong. Life goes on and we are all better off with our own kind.
You can see that whichever way you follow people, they will still complain and it is difficult to please human beings. While the poster is lamenting the way Naija man rough handled her, someone has confessed that another Naija man is good and has not done anything wrong to her, but stressing that she has not believed him and is contemplating to divorce him. If you divorce a nice man who have not wronged you, it simply means, the white girls also possess all those negative qualities that were hitherto referred to Nigeria men. Remember, if you divorce him upon being good to you, you are rightly sending a message to other Nigeria men who probably will learn from what happened to their brother, and the outcome of their lesson will be applied to other white girls who will be the victims of your action. To them, their brother tried to be good to a white girl, but was made to regret, so no need being good again. Some of our girls have joined the queue to condemn their brothers but nobody has asked Leilah why she is thinking of divorcing Nigeria man.

RomanceRe: Ugly Intelligent Girl or Beautiful Dull Girl? by ebos(m): 4:52pm On Jul 03, 2007
My people why laughing? That is why I said i'm confused, very ugly but smart may not get the happiness of a true marriage, because no amount of her laugh or teasing will calm ur anger, think of how you would feel when people makes mockery of ur wife by refering her very beautiful when she is not, I know you will look at dem 2 times, if they call her ugly before u, u will rage, then which way? But as beautiful but very dull, you wil always hide her from public show if her contributions will be needed there, but how long would you continue to hide her? I'm really confused to choose one.

One of my friends (very handsome) went and married one kind (just permit me to use the phrase “Very Ugly”) girl. One Xmas day, a certain old woman came to pay a visit to them, she demanded to see their new wife and I was there with my friend. He now called his wife out, when this old woman saw the girl, she uncontrollably shouted “Uwam lee! I don finish!, this one wey dey like me, na him my son go marry” Like play play, this old woman grabbed my friend and said “you will kill me today, you no see any other girl, na this wey I better pass you go bring for this house. My brother na true talk I dey tell u. It happened.

@ confused, I'm sorry this happened to you. But what did they tell u that are typical common for Igbo men? Abeg, talk another thing, make them not confuse or tell u again. From Nigeria men to Igbo men. Our girls still face this kind of your problem and they have not generalise it, even as more divorce cases being recorded among white couples.
