I have said it, his name 'Awoof' explained it all. No Awoof man wants justice stand. He will look for a way to back his trick in order to continue to cheat. He has not been to Bayelsa State and see things to himself. Go to Bayelsa and see people sleeping along Express Road. Suppose a vehicle lose brake! Awoof is not in Nigeria and will not understand what we are saying. From Lagos, to Port Harcourt, follow Bayelsa and see people sleeping along the express. A community that has over 24 oil well has only one primary school not even a block building. Still the awoof has the guts to call the boys criminals and disparaging the efforts of those who have been fighting for justice. Some have been imprisoned, and thank God they continue to wax stronger in their fight for justice |
To me marriage is good but those at 30s should not think and kill themselves for being single at 30s. I know (particularly) most women always bring the issue as a way to ridicule single ladies each time they have quarrel. Some men have joined the team to make mockery of any lady that quarrel with them. Won't you go and marry? It's ur bad character that keeps u single. These type of statements does not show maturity. I also believe that not every man or woman will get married. Whatever situation you find yourself, you accept in good faith and give God all the glory. There may be a reason for you being single. who knows, it's only God that knows why. Besides, u have the power to make whatever decision you like, whether to remain single or not. I repeat, it's not a must that all will get married. |
@awoof Your name has explained it all. Awoof man. Can something good come from awoof man? Imagin awoof man calling Orji Kalu rascally 419. You see, Pot calling Kettle black. The same igredients supporting themselves. You have not answered any of my questions. The churches and other progressive groups calling for protest, are they itching for trouble? I tell u, come to Nigeria, 80% of Nigerians really want this elections be cancealed. What point are u making if 80% says no to this charade elections? To allow the elections stand, so that people who have been known for their awoof way of life to rule our states. Please, get a life! |
@IYKE-D and those that oppose the protest That is why we will continue to dream in Nigeria. What do you have to say about MASSOB - a non violent group that have lost a good number of their members because they resorted non-violent approach? If MASSOB is armed today, I tell you Nigerian soldiers will find it difficult to penetrate their positions not to talk of police who have been using 5 security men to raid Uwazurike' s house even when it is not necessary. You want to tell me all those calling for protest nationwide are itching for trouble. The churches and various groups? You are not in Nigeria, so u cannot be outside and know what is happening except what you read and it may be written by those on government paid list. Do you know many of our students had been killed in the past in the cause of peaceful demonstrations? Do you know they imposed people with questionable character on us and whant us to accept them? Do you think those who have sacrificed their lives for justice were fools? How do u think these so-called winners of elections whom their people have assessed and found wanting would deliver? How then, do you want Nigeria be a better place for our children if we fold our hands and refuses to reject wrong system? Do you know how many times they have arrested my brother for rising against injustice? We cannot tell him to stop fighting against injustice because of what he has been passing through. Which Obasanjo is pursuing dialogue in Niger Delta. He is busy acquirng weapons secretly to confront them. I'm not a man of violence but when you are pushed to the wall, you don't have to make a hole from there and pass through. You must force yourself back to where you were. |
Are we expecting you to be walking about town (wherever it is you live in Nigeria) with a loaded AK-47 and grenades so that the security agents will doff their hats for you like they do the dreaded Niger Delta militants? From your tone, it appears you are itching for some action, just remember though that every dog has its day and force may not always be the answer. While we can't place a figure on the number of militants killed, I wouldn't necessary advise anyone to be caught hanging out with them in the creek - it might just be your unlucky day. Also, I wouldn't necessary concede 100% victory to the militants simply because OBJ (the military) chose or was coerced to pursue dialog rather than an all out war in the Delta. God forbid, but you know if it comes to this, the villagers and the families of the militants will be the ones paying the ultimate price. Nothing like prayers in this case. When you pray, you make restitution. If nothing happens on 29th May, certainly later. Some agrieved politicians who did not receive justice would stop at nothing to cause havocs anytime any day. You defranchise others, rigged elections and some people are saying lets see Nigeria do what is right at least for a moment. Do you realise the pain of injustice? What we are saying is for them to canceal the entire elections in 36 states of the federation including FCT and conduct a fresh elections. This is the best prayer that can guaranty a continue peace, God help those who help themselves. |
obyann:You really understood my point. The Federal Government and our forces are ruthless and will deal with you if you demonstrate peacefully. Despite their charade elections, ordinary constable with a baton will punch u like a criminal. But armed yourself to the teeth, they will throw their support to you secretly. |
OBJ''s inability to crack down the Niger Delta militants in the creeks is weakness. Nigerian soldgiers cannot go down there. If they try it, they will be drowned. I know they cannot swim with their big stomochs. So, you cannot fight them in their terrain and the system they understand better than u do. |
I tell you, in Nigeria, demonstrate peacefully and more will lose their lives, police, army will shoot you, but if you are well armed and go for violence, Nigerian Government will tell you keeping quiet does not mean weak. How many Niger Delta Militants have lost their lives since their violent struggle for equity? Least number. The story would have been different if they had engaged on peaceful demonstration. Nigerian government always show power if you are not well armed. So, I have come to realize that the only language Nigerian government understands is arm struggle. At least 29th May will rubbish OBJ's claim of fight against corruption. How can u legalize corruption as a system of government? You rigged elections and told us the system has been there. So, we will continue to endure base on wrong? Never. |

I think both of them are good and great, I understand Achebe is so quiet that is why some people feels Soyinka has done much than him. If given me the opportunity to choose, I think Achebe comes first. This does not mean Soyinka is not great. |
He introduced you as a Cousin and you accepted it. The very day you consented to this idea was the time you created a vacum for him to move to other girls. |
I actually the young Ndubuisi scored 31 points to beat other nine contestants from the best nine countries in Africa that made the final. The guy was really good. That day in Abuja, the world was surprised that Africa could have such people, especially the Nigerian - Ndubuisi. The rest of the contestants were also good, I mean hot brains. I'm proud to be an African. If you had watched this Ndubuisi, you will join me to shout great Nigeria. |
At times, we are at division with ourselves internally when trying to approach pretty girls, we believe that the inner is fundamentally different from the outer. The conflicts begin with minds which believe what I chase may not last, and this is the problem with guys (themselves). But I have come to understand that what are in some pretty girls as envisage by guys are quite separate from what guys imagine - all are not as bad as we think. |
@babyosisi: A frog joke is quite difficult to apprehend. Hope you are not merely building in isolation? I doubt that we would ever grow. I'm disappointed. |
How I lost my babe but I didn’t feel or regret losing her despite my effort to make her happy. Any time she discovered I had enough money, she would call me – “sly guyyyyyy, sly this and that”, with such a baby voice. Though, I noticed her tricks but I thought she would change. One December I tested her by saying “hey, sweet babe, I have no money for this Xmas and I need to rely on you this time”. She immediately charged like Hulk Hogan “wetin, if this one na joke, abeg stop am oo, you mean all de things I tell you, you know go buy am again. Na the thing wey you mean be that.” She got annoyed and left. There and then, I made up mind to do without her again. She now tried to come back but I frustrated all her efforts, she then sent friends to plead for her but the road was closed behind her and no second chance. Her way of life was like money for hand and back for ground approach. This makes her valueless to me because she can ruin my life with that method. (The love for her was there at the beginning). |
@ThiefofHearts: I agree with you that I’m quite naïve and it’s because I’m not married at 30 + – abi? What else do you want me to say? That the suspicion is a good portent for their future and she should postpone the marriage because the guy answers too many calls. Good advice from you. This is how you solomonise your wisdom. Listen, preoccupation for what we cannot prove amount to invitation of crises and when it comes to play in the marriage, there is nowhere left to go but where we have created the road. We're in this forum for a reason. I believe a bit of the reason is to throw little torches out to lead people through the dark. |
Radiant:So, you have hard-boiled your mind that you cannot even apologize to me? A whole me for that matter. |
Radiant:As far as I know, the suspicion is not essential in any case, considering what marriage is all about and you cannot build a home base on suspicion. You want to marry him, and there is doubt at the beginning which you cannot prove – he is not being caught in any foul play. Now you want to postpone the marriage because of a thought you cannot establish. Better right your action before there is confusion. You should know that besides the noble art of getting things done, there is the noble art of leaving things undone. The wisdom of life consists in the elimination of non-essentials - suspicion |
Postpone the marriage and compound the problem. Right now, the guy is single and that is why other girls feel like hanging around him. Once he is married with you, they must distance themselves. Don’t use your hand to invite those girls to the guy. Don’t give them chance to have him. I understand the guy has not refused marrying you, it is you that want to create problem simply other girls hang around. Sit him down and have one on one talk. |
Glamourgal:what do we call such a woman? |
It was the elders who gave the story of how the groom’s great grandfather was fair. The groom never saw his great grandfather and the relatives never saw him. The elders gave the story and many believed what they said |
There is this idea that a couple may all be dark but if the great-grandfather or mother of the bride or groom was fair, they may deliver a fair baby without cheating by the woman. I know a couple who are quite dark in complexion with seven children, five of the children are completely fair (reddish) and two are dark. The man never complained of any cheating from his wife but relatives did complain against the woman. The elders maintained the above view and exonerated the woman. |
Present two girls to me on option basis, one a virgin who is beautiful and the second who is more beautiful but not a virgin. Definitely, I will choose a virgin. Guys need girls who are virgins but no where to get them. Probably the guy is a rotten one who does not know what is good and he only need a bird of his type. |
The idea of saying Sweetroses is negative is in itself encouraging negativity. Telling the guy is all going to be smooth is to prepare him to fall into the toxic trap which will force him to question God “why my own always different.” Let him know it is not going to be easy at all but if he endures it will be ok. This will enable him realize what he is going to pass through and therefore equip himself. So, to let him know the thorny road, does not in any way mean negative |
Did the Bobo promise to marry you or you just thought he was going to marry you? This is the third time i'm asking you (the Poster) this question. I need answer to it |
If the guy marry the poster (of this topic) this lucky girl will still complain and people will blast him too because the cheating was there before he traveled out and they could not find out – he was secretly keeping two or more girls. Maybe he was just trying to know the better one to propose. So, take heart, as he did say the Holy Spirit revealed to him the right girl for his wife. This could be true. Who knows? Lets we be angry at the will of God. |
The story can be either way. Probably, if the guy had married her (I mean the poster), his present wife to be whom the poster said she used to see her pics with the guy when he was at home would have posted that the guy dumped her for another babe. Then, what would you say? You will still blame him. So, I believe the guy was keeping two or more girls when he was at home, and all of them were hoping to be the lucky one. The guy finally picked one of the girls which is normal hence he did not chose a wife outside her babes. In this case, I would not blame the guy. So, attending the wedding is a personal choice. Just wish them well. You can honour invitation if you so wish. But did the guy promise to marry you when he was at home? You only said the guy you was planning to get married with. |
