in as much as i know am feeling irritated by your comments right now but i will try to be as civil as possible.

We all feel pain no doubt, we all get irrational, but if we allow grief, fear and pain rise above our humane spirit no need of calling us the sapien because humane is the only feeling the sets us apart from the other homos.

Another error on your own side: The bolded is not what we tell ourselves, the bolded is truth undisputable fact why? because we actually did evolve past that level. We are at that point in creation where simple logics are no longer acceptable, we are at that point where logic has to beat logic to stand, we are at that where principal rules the canal mind. Man has attained that point of perfection a point where he throws himself on the line to defend "his truth" we really evolved past that level where we are told that survival is for the fittest ask nature she will tell you that man has broken and redefined her principals.

am still waiting for you to justify the killing of an innocent man...

It may be 'Truth' but definitely not 'fact'

Soldiers take up arms to defend themselves and their country it doesn't make them inhumane, just because there are laws and rules of engagement made by man doesn't change the fact that they took the live of another human.

I never in any of my previous post justify the killing of an innocent man or any person for that matter, if I did then it wasn't my intention. All I did was analysis on why 'people fight fire with fire', I believe you know that.

If we can't critically dissect the reason behind wrong deeds then how can we tell what is right?

Bro, forget about sentiment and civility, be logical!

I don't see why you feel irritated by my post, the problem is most of you are too scared to picture the worst case scenario for fear of losing your so-called humanity.

Lastly, go read about Dr Roberto Canessa of the 1972 Andes plane crash then you would understand why you should never dispatch the possibility of you taking any measure to survive.

So if they catch an innocent person and you are sure the person, you will support them to kill the person.

That is how twisted the ideology of supporting Jungle Justice is. In the Aluu4 case, one of them's sister was there but no one listened.

Simple it is better a 100 criminals go free than one innocent person dies. They were not proven guilty beyond every reasonable doubt. No difference between Badoo and these guys.

Check my original post you would see where I said '100%' sure.

I no get strength to dey feel sorry for the 'Evan's & Anini's of this world after all the evils and atrocities dey done commit.

Killing innocent is not survival. It is murder. There is no difference between that and the Badoo members. All criminals.

I'm not disputing this, that was y I used d word 'Perpetrators' cos I believe they are also guilty, I'm just saying they would rather be murderers than 'dead'

I read an article about the rampant kidnapping cases arising in Rivers state and the ordeal a nairalander went through. Yet the law enforcing agencies have clearly decided to do nothing about it.

If resident of that particular community decides to take up the matter personally I don't see y I shouldn't support them, murder or not!

At the end, the criminals walk free and the Innocent lives lost. Those murdering them are also criminals quelling their anger with the blood of innocent people. It is murder.

Exactly! At the end, the criminals walk free ( if handed to the police) so they've decided to take it up personally.

If u have to choose --- 'kill or be killed' what do you think your choice will be??

^^^^ I believe this is how the perpetrators see it. U call it 'Murder', they call it 'Survival'

I'm not in support of jungle justice, I even find it difficult to look @ these gruesome pictures.

But.......

I think we should look @ situations from every single angle.

I know how angry I felt about 'Aluu 4' , until I moved to port harcourt and met a resident of Aluu ( a student of uniport) who explained how it was b4 the lynching, how it was impossible to go out or return home after 7pm because of the level of crime in the zone. He also made me understand that almost 70% of ladies who reside there have gone through one form of molestation or another ( the most unfortunate ones, more than once), the guys aren't left out of the harassment also.

I wonder if I wouldn't be in support of jungle justice if my family had gone through the same torture the resident of Aluu went through b4 the lynching.

I have been lucky, blessed and favored but I can't say the same for the ikorodu and Aluu residents, so until law enforcing agencies in Nigeria step up the ppl just have to do what they gat to do to protect themselves!

Although they need to be 100% sure before taking any action.

I quite understand your point...But i am sure Op's husband reprimanded his brother, it's natural, every man will do that. but from what i can deduce, i think the op want something a little bit too far. We all have different approach to resolving issues. I think apologies is what this situation deserves & the brother has done that.

Forget all these ppl, they wdnt understand. I grew up with my uncle n something like this happened to me, I ddnt know if I shd apologize or run out of my cousin's room, I was dumbfounded. I'm prett sure that was what happened to the BIL.

Of course, it was entirely my fault just like I blame the BIL in this case, u don't just barge in like that. Privacy is something we should respect!

The OP's Husband is an intelligent man! He did the right thing by not scolding his brother right there, I'm sure he will address this issue with his brother privately without involving his wife to avoid any tension between his wife and his brother.

Blame the video directors

The directors are paid to come up with great concepts and beautiful themes, but they lack creativity so they distract us with 'bumbum shaking' videos

Notice how 2face videos are always wack? That is because he doesn't buyy d bummbum shaaking concept and we don't have directors with ideas

Shout out to d director of ' falz - soldier', now that's what I call creativity.

NB: even me wey like bum bum welwel don tire for all these videos, we need something different.

I tell ya.

But still....in fairness to the banks...Nigeria really is a risky place to do business. See the recent debtors lists posted in the dailies. Banks have so many people owing them ........and they still need cash to run. Banks also spend millions on generators, inverters, etc....just to keep operations running. And they have to pay their staff good salaries(so that the staff do not steal cash from the till occasionally grin). And there are the high security costs too.

Guess where the money to do all that comes from.

TRUE!

But....

Think of it this way --- there are very very very few of us using internet banking . a lot of ppl wouldn't mind being on a queue , time wasted but money saved. So really banks aren't making a lot from internet banking. I can bet everything i have that if charges are reduce to as low as #10 a transaction every1 with access to internet will prefer/patronize mobile banking, meaning the amount of patrons will be raised to about x1000, less charges but more profit for the banks.

i believe most ppl are aware about internet banking but are put off by the charges.

The problem is Nigerians are tooooo quick to believe anything therefore making it easy to be manipulated by the media.

You still don't understand the 'Politics' of Nigerian marriages huh?

The my-husband-is-a-billioniare-and-buys-everything-I-need syndrome is very predominant.

Plus Nigerian men like to brag with what 'they bought for their wives' . . . So a lot of these items are attributed to 'my-husband-bought-me' syndrome; when in actual fact she bought it herself.

I can tell you that 80% of those women you know bought those cars themselves but are claiming their husbands bought it for them.

What I never understood is how I will sit back and let someone else take the glory for my hard-work. undecided

Can I ask you a simple question? If what you want is a woman that shares financial responsibilities, are you willing to do the same when it comes to house chores?

1. I don't allow any1 but me wash my clothes ( excluding laundry services) #Fact.

2. I grew up in a "Do-it-youself" home where after eating U wash the plate U used YOURSELF, sweep your room YOURSELF, lay Your bed YOURSELF e.t.c e.t.c , I no b cripple ( No pun intended) , I dont need any1 to do anything for me that I can do myself. That's the way I was brought up and I'm sticking to it!

3. I'm very sure by my above statements U already know i can Cook. I was brought up the right way... No segregation. So y should I BEG any1 to cook for me if I can probably cook better than the person?

So , I'm probably the wrong person to ask that question seeing that I actually enjoy doing things myself..

But if the man bears the financial burden ALONE then the lady should do the chores ALONE #Simple!

)

If U read through from my 1st post again U would notice that it was about 'Dependency' not Salary.

I really don't care if he/she is a millionaire! And can afford everything in life, If he/she has to wait for ppl to do things for him/her then he/she is dependent. simple!

I still maintain my stance! Go out there and check how many (Nigeria) ladies bought the car they drive with their money.

In fact, car too big to use as example. Go out there and check how many girls bought the phone they Use ( 50Grand and above) without financial assistance from some1 else.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that I'm just saying ppl should say it as it is!... Don't try to sugarcoat it.

Those were examples of jobs predominantly done by females in Nigeria. It doesn't mean every single Nigerian woman is involved in one of those professions.

What you're saying is that there's virtually no Nigerian woman that's capable of living within her means. So, only 0.2% of Nigerian women can do this. Interesting.

As I said, I'm yet to come across a Nigerian woman that depends on a man for her source of income Call me a liar, if you please.

Also, with the economic issues in the country, how many Nigerian men can actually take care of their families without financial support from their wives? I'll tell you. 0.2%. Yeah, since we're throwing figures around.

Oh!... and I completely understand what dependence and independence is all about. I don't need any more "breakdowns."

@bolded, U still not getting the point are U?.. Its not about making money its about spending it.Im close to a lot of well-to-do ladies ( Mostly relations) who r getting 6 figures monthly salary yet ironically most of them are driving cars bought by their husbands for them. Do a bit of fact finding to see how many ladies ( in Nigeria) actually bought the cars they drive with their OWN cash.

Btw I'm a strong advocate of "Female Independency" , wouldn't it be nice to have a GF for once who spend as much as I do, call as much as I do n contribute as much as I do in a relationship?..but really U girls don't want that . forget all these internet trollings and pretending. The facts speak for themselves!

Btw why will I call U a liar?? I'm not one of those male trolls on here.. And I love and respect women! How can I not, when the Three MOST important people in my life are women? smiley

Seriously, I have a problem with this. I constantly read comments about Nigerian women being dependent and all. My mum was never dependent on my dad and I don't know any Nigerian woman that depends on a man as her source of livelihood... I'm not saying they aren't there. In Nigeria, there are some jobs that are predominantly done by females. From the elementary school teachers to the counsellors to the tailors, hair stylists, cashiers, receptionists, librarians, bankers, nurses etc. Yet you guys keep going on and on about this. It's only on this forum where virtually all Nigerian women depend on the men and all Nigerian men are capable of taking care of their women and by extension, family.
Does propagating this falsehood make you guys feel good?

Eating free meals is one of the perks of being female in Naija grin grin

I know this is coming late and i dont know if any1 broke down the concept of dependency to U later on but let me explain this to you so u can properly understand the notion of 'Female dependency

U just made mention of some jobs which Nigerian ladies partake in. The question is how much do they make daily - monthly ?.... The problem really is that though 99.8% the guy mentioned are actually working but they spend far more than what they make daily-weekly! Most ladies are waaaaay into expensive gadgets and accessories ! How do U expect some1 spending close to 100grand a month to survive on a salary of 50grand?'

I can still remember how my LGI was selling female shoes for as high as 5Gs to corp members receiving 9.8Gs @that time, the shocking thing was these female corpers were falling all over themselves to be the 1st to buy them.

Its not that Nigeria ladies don't work its just that they don't make the kind of money to sustain their lifestyle , therefore they have no choice than to depend on others (Most likely their BFs).

So, the dude wasn't actually wrong when he made that statement.
