the list was not released in dia website...mayb it has been released on punch....but since we v nt being reading punch everyday....u dont knw...so lets just leave t at...if u receive award letter in ur sch...u r successful...if nt...u r not....Just keep Praying for Us....cos i knw...By Jehovah's Undeserved Kindness...my letter is on it's way...looking for me.....AMEN

mobil is out!!!!!.....though am yet to receive my award letter which by Jehovah's grace i know is on its way locating me....a friend in FUTO gots his yesterday...they sent award letter to successful awardees through their departments...so check ur departments.....the letter was accompanied with an acceptance form to open a UBA account and submit the form b4 22 of march 2013....so check ur respective departments b4 22.....success and Goodluck to us

Things are not easy here at OAU medical sch.Final Part2 result was released nd half of d class were either in withdraw or repeat or resit category in medicine while in Dentistry only 3 studnts passed d rest of d class were either in withdraw or repeat or resit category.Part 3 result was just something else in both medicine nd Dentistry.Guys dis OAU tire me o na everysession dem dey change there system.

Is everywhere...Path&Pharm result was released last week and 50 were withdrawn....few resited and some repeated...only about half d class passed....This is med.sch for you...casualty are bound to happen.....JUST MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT A CASUALTY

emergency2: I entered OAU medical school in 2004, I felt very great and happy that I was eventually admitted to my desired course,and I have heard so much about medicine so I have prepared my mind for them.
Preclinical days were wondarful,I did anatomy,biochemistry,physiology and pharmacology. Physiology was my best course then, and I got my Nickname (emergency) from my Biochemistry professor(prof Fakunle).They were very challenging, but if you apply yourself to them both in class and through your personal reading, you will discover that they are not hard to understand. What you need is consistency, since they are volatile.
Many things will be there to discourage you, but you just need to keep the dream alive.
Clinical years(400-600) are practical experience and they are easier, even though there are more work and its tougher, you are matured and have more confidence in yourself, so its generally easier.
One thing to note is that, you need to discover yourself early in medical school, don't ever follow someones footstep, it is usually disastrous.
Know the time you assimilate best and stick to it, know how long you can read at a stretch.
Love the Lord your God and believe in yourself. Medical school will be a work over for you.

I love the course am studying right now, dissection at it's peak, (Lower Limbs) learning(Sembuligam) Cramming (Keith Moore) Drawings(Histology) Pathways (Biochemistry) Studying (Embryology).....The pressure on it's own is good to keep us going, waking up everyday with the desire to get back into your laboratory coat, walking into the Gross Anatomy Laboratory, as the Formaline odour at it's peak ushers you in, they you begin to deal with cadavers...."Scapel, Please" Scrapping off fats... Gluteal Region is full of fat!!! Just pray you don't get a fat, old cadaver, because they're not fun to dissect!!! Lot's of cold fat....Do you visualise fun in my rants? Seriously it's fun.

Don't let people fool you about Job Prospects in Basic Medical Sciences in Nigeria, The problem with our scholars is that, they want to start earning money with their first degree (B.sc, B.tech), If that is your foresight, BMS is not for you, but if you desire to leave your footprints on the sand of medicine, the BMS is the right way to go. Before you can get a good job with Basic Medical Sciences Degree, you must have at least a Master Degree, better still a PhD. Do you know that most PhD degree in BMS is fully funded in Developed country and you'll still earn stipends for studying?? BMS is all about discovering something that would help generations to come.

While I really Appreciate the effort of our Doctors, Nurses, and other Medical Officers, because they are in the fore front of presenting medical care to patients, their effort is limited to so categories of people, but a medical discovery can save more life, even more than what a doctor will do in his life time (But, Doctors roles with patients is inevitable, they work hard to see things are done the way it should be done).
