I persoanlly share fences with a neighbour that butchers dogs as bush meat, anytime he kills one, I hear the dog give out a loud cry, or it barks till it squils then a dead silence. I have boerboels in my compound and every night I release them, they cannot help barking at the fence I share with this neighbour.

Anytime I stroll with my dogs, I see the man's kids looking at my dog and licking their lips, in one occassion I over heard one lady even telling one of the kids in front of their compound that : "Chaiiiiiiii, this one go sweet for peppersoup oh, e go just full pot", I felt irrirtated and as I looked at them, I had a crippy feeling that I was looking at Clifford Orji (The Cannibal)..

my dear. Our Nigerian dogs oh. They pack plenty into cages for sale to be eaten. I doubt he knows it's me. Hopefully nobody saw me run. He was raining curses on the person who did it, I felt guilty. Maybe the 7k isn't enough compensation for my behaviour

The sight of seeing dogs eaten, slaughtered or kept in cages on their way to pepper soup joints and markets makes me depressed every time. Today, I did the unthinkable, a neighbour in my new area is a middle man for the purchase of these cages of dogs. Sometimes he leaves them outside In the cold, with no proper shelter or food, till he is ready to go to the devil's market with them. The glare of those dogs in the overcrowded cages breaks my heart each time. . Therefore today, without anyone looking I cut the ropes and released the dogs. About nine of them. Some took off at full speed while the foolish ones stayed back in shock and confusion. I quickly dropped the seven thousand Compensation into the cage and ran away. I really feel happy at my criminal behaviour and also bad as that man has been raining curses on the street. I need to park out be that. Cheers

I am in an intertribal marriage and its working out perfectly. My husband is Yoruba and I am igbo. It is very common to see two tribes marry in cities and these marriages last. So saying 80% of inter tribal marriages crash is grossly exaggerating. I dated from my tribe before marriage, It didnt workout and I let go. My husband had the qualities I needed in a life partner so I married him. I have it good with him and wouldn't trade him for anyone.

To actually not go astray is truly a conscious and concerted effort. Infact everyday you would come across a more beautiful lady whom ur wife or gf isn't worthy to tie her shoe laces and same applies to the men. But let me burst your bubble. That new girl or man only appears so attractive because they aren't urs. You haven't had them yet that's why it appears so attractive.. ..... Its always after a long time together that couples realise they were wrong to be together......... . And I say really . The human nature always believes that new is better. If you never forget the vanity in love and attraction. One would always be chasing shadows to the detriment of ur relationship. There is nothing like the girl next door or the hot man next door. A marriage strictly based on xtian principles makes it easy to suppress the cheating gene. God's laws are very clear on faithfulness and chastity. A couple well grounded in keeping to the word would always reaffirm their faith in the marriage union by a maintaining a constant faith to their marriage vows on faithfulness

Communication is a method. Many things said are likely to be thought through and analysed. A woman could confide in her man, her admiration for a co- worker and same to the man. At least this way you know how ur partner feels about that. Many a couple have been known to be in open sexual relationships. Some men married to Lesbians have been known to knowingly turn a blind eye. The fact is what works for couple A would not work for couple B. Most importantly many partners never realise their actions to be fanning their cheating gene. A married woman could harmlessly go out on a date with a potential lover without realising he is one. Openness to our partners tends to solve many issues.

From my experiences and relations with people, I can come to the conclusion that we all have cheating tendencies.. The people who deny this fact are those I runaway from because they are the type who can cheat on a man with his brother or father, or on a lady with her sisters. Some people just choose to repress this in their system and that's why we have some honest people.

Men love to assert their manhood through conquering females, while females assert their feminine esteem through male admiration. Nobody wants to be rejected or termed unattractive and that's inclusive of taken or married people. In this age of depreciating moral values it's very easy to be lead astray by the lures of the fun life. Nothing is sweeter than eating one's cake and still having it. But of course we all have realised that nothing appears as destructive too.

There are many ways people deal with their cheating sides. Some practise blind trust, some practice avoidance of temptation, some practise chop clean mouth. The fact is that men and women cheat in equal measure, though the men appear pained the most when we are victims of it.

Thus what are the likely practicable ways, people could handle their cheating gene without hurting their partners by their actions.

I have always had the bad habit of lack of forgiveness, people complain I don't forgive nor forget. I have soon learned that bearing hurt is allowing the devil to live rent free in my system. Though I made a post new year resolution to try to be more forgiving. Because recently, a man bashed my car and in rage I grabbed him amidst his screams and threw him into my boot while I zoomed off amidst shouting by people and the police nearby, it was only as I approached my house did I realise the stupidity in myself and quietly brought the man out ". He could have thought I wanted to cook him for dinner. Anyway I hope to make progress and hopefully pray this change transcends to my love life. But I have a big problem.

I can't stand to be decieved, to be decieved by a lover is the greatest pain I can bear or forgive. When a lover cheats, the sex never hurts me but the knowledge I was decieved and in the dark. I have had great satisfyingly long relationships with gfs who cheated and never hid it. Somehow it never bothers me cos I knew about it. Guess I am weird or a chronic amebo.

I need to learn to deal with this hurt and learn to forgive it. It's the most common way people hurt others, thus very important I learn it to help my anger issues. How did you handle yours or are you currently handling yours. My temper is too great and even the bible says it's a fool who is quick to anger. Abeg am tired of living like one. Thanks for your help

Well i only spend holidays and that's during festive seasons,just a few days.I never get to spend up to a week.
No strange requests from in-laws except that I have to give money to many people whenever I make trips to see in-laws.They expect handouts unlike my own people but that's okay.It's not like it's everyday.
One of the things you need to find out about the tribe you want to marry into are their expectations.If you are okay with it,then you go ahead.
Even though I can marry from anywhere,the demands of some tribes will make me not to.

Actually, some of the worst marriages I know are same tribe. In my case, had I married from my tribe, we'd have relatives bringing their generational fight into our marriage. Once, when someone brought up his brother as a prospective suitor for me, my cousin (who was his friend! ) immediately behind his back and told my mum that I should be kept away from the proposal because "their mother is a witch"

hahahahahaha to be honest that's true. A valid point. Guess u aren't igbo. Cos in my culture families ask around during courtship and one could unfortunately run into a mofo with a witch story hoping to destroy the wedding plans

My parents are educated,same as hers so tribe was never an issue.Of course it's easier to marry someone who speaks your language but we speak the same language - english,lol.
I don't see any issue between us that has to do with tribe.
First you must be someone who is receptive,adaptable and tolerant.Be willing to learn a different language,at least the basics.Also.be willing to adapt to the culture.Be willing also to make some sacrifices eg for me trips to Cross River during festive seasons.

how do you feel when you have to spend extended periods at her hometown plus weird inlaw requests from you during events such as burials or weddings. Cool with all that or similar to ur customs?

As for inter-tribal, its failure or success depends on the parties involved. I've seen same tribe marriages fall apart the way I've seen inter-tribal marriage collapse.

the frequency of failure of inter-tribal is alot higher. Guess the differences just overwhelms
