dialfa:let me prove to you that I am one. Goodday |
tobiasbeecher:when did you question urs since that's how ur people do it, at worst if it's not my father, it will be ur father that is responsible given the lack of manners you showing, adultery for him isn't beyond expectations, dat being said, we are brothers,. ![]() |
dialfa:I repeat it is meant for intellectuals, look at the posts so far and hopefully you should feel some Shame at your name calling. Please and please leave the thread. |
tobiasbeecher:ndi igbo ibem |
dialfa:I was courteous to you. Yet you show me lack of respect despite pleas for decorum. This thread is meant for intellectuals, please desist. OK then. |

The yoruba man who spoke above, thanks for you contribution, though you are right but some points you raised are not very accurate about the igbo man. Every tribe has their peculiarity, being financially inclined is our peculiarity and same can be said of the Jews, well you still made valid points, Back to topic, we Igbos are sometimes enemies of ourselves and we know it, this is the major reason why we can't have a political say at national level, the ipob agitators are ignoring the cracks we know about ourselves because it's easier to focus on others and spell out our hatred for them, this of course won't persists as the moment we secede am sure those very cracks of discord will crop up. This is why I don't consider seccesion yet as a solution till all other avenues have been exhaustively explored. We need to develop a love for the igbo race, a love for ourselves, a love for our fatherland ani igbo, we need reorientation from the mentalities of our fathers, we need change |
Promhize:now you are getting my point, number one thing we must achieve is to restrategise politically, we need good men and women in power, we must compete at federal level, we need a seaport, fully utilised, dredged Niger river to enable inland transport and if possible railways, in fact with how industrious ndi igbo are, dubai will be child's play, industrialisation will come. It's difficult to get foreign investors to come to the south East when they will need the lagos seaport, that why agbara in ogun is always a better alternative |
Talk true ![]() |
wecan:we can't actualize biafra on nothing, we will actualize biafra on something, something tangible, let us create something tangible that will ensure the actualization of biafra, why don't we have a mega city in the south East, why is the alaba market in lagos and not I the south East or south south where there is also access to the sea, why are there no companies in south East, the presence of the sea (Lagos) and it's well utilised ports has industrialised ogun and lagos, yet we have some access to the sea and nothing to show for it. You understand why we must create these things for ourselves first before biafra. They involve alot of money for development and money is always something a newly created state is good at lacking |
ShadowCabinet:Mr man, what's that lady's picture with the silly advert ding on your signature page. |
DropShot:don't mind those stupid people. They are my brothers oh, but am ashamed of them. Empty chest beating always. They forget the Igbos are too reasonable for violence or terrorism |
dialfa:read my response on the thread, hopefully something there answers this pertinent question you asked |
You have all spoken well, but let's look at issues objectively, even the south isn't ready as it is for true federalism, if we implemented that today, many regions will become unsustainable, a northern once posed an argument, that since groundnut money was used to develop and explore for oil, then if true federalism is proposed there must be a time gap to allow oil money to be used to develop agricultural potentials in the north to support them in the event of implementation. Now that analogy made sense to him, but something in it made sense to me, only a fool tests the depth of a river by jumping into it, this is why I am and have never been an ipob agitator because I prefer to plan first, analyse risks and come up with acceptable benefits before embarking on an endeavour. This is synonymous to testing the waters with one foot first, what I am saying is that, even before federalism or no federalism the peoples of each region are supposed to be equipped with concrete sustainability initiatives first, where such initiatives would be financed through the methods we are currently running, and after a period of time we may now propose true federalism or seccesion of states. This thread is meant to propose concrete plans on sustainable initiatives in the south East, that would make true federalism or seccesion a supporting factor to its growth and development |
We love suffering and smiling, can somebody please explain to me how a nation of 170million people are watching and conforming with no questions asked and fuel is sold for 150 per litre, the cost of crude is 40dollars a barrel, there is a crude glut that the market is trying to dispose, which means supply outweighs demand, even secondary school economics should tell me that must result in a drastic drop in price, how come the government is paying subsidies and am buying pms at 150 per litre, what's happening, where then is the subsidy, are they saying without subsidy it would be 200 per litre? When a barrel of crude is 40 dollars? How can we keep quiet at this scenario and are purchasing, what are our civil rights groups doing. What is fundamentally wrong with a Nigerian for Christ's sake |
naijadeyhia:Mr op. Please listen to this advice, take it, believe it too because it's true. At least some people can reason outside emotions and the need to join the band wagon of blaming innocent parents. |
Therock5555:if you try this method I will tell you now and things don't change, then open another thread on sane topic hopefully you will get better responses. People look at glass of water and call it half filled, others look at same glass and call itit half empty, this world and everything in it appears so because of human perception. How did you perceive an event, someone with thicker skin or a sense of humour will have a different perceptive sense as compare to a stuck up person. Mr a secret to life is that you can never determine how people will treat you or love you or perceive you, but you can always determine how you respond to their treatment and perception. Change your perception of your family and their actions towards you, Chang your disposition by using humour and understanding, see yourself as a young karate student learning from his master the skills of tomorrow, one thing am very very sure of is that your parents do not hate you, they are handling you based on their perceptions of whom you might be or who they think you are. You might not be able to change it cos they have had that since your childhood, but you can determine how u respond to it, when criticised accept and change, when you feel you were treated unfairly air your views respectfully and forget about it, don't go about sulking or playing the victim card, plus you are a man, a man, men learn to be masters of their emotions and no emotion is more in need of our mastery than our response to life's challenges. Just try |
Nno cheruv I hope others join in. If and when there is more interest I will say things I want to say. Meanwhile you can always say your feelings towards the igbo race and the way forward |
ProfEinstein:nairaland is like a classroom, first class material dey, second class dey, third class dey and even those with no class, now pick ur class man and mingle with them cos I am clearly not at ur level. |
This is not an ipob thread nor is the intention of this thread to foster hatred amongst ourselves or others. Please I will appreciate if only mature comments are made and mutual respect with decorum observed. I am really scared for the future, the economic situation in Nigeria is dire and the political class appear clueless in providing a solution to this problem, all governments be it goodluck, obasanjo, yar a dua, buhari, or even the military era that was intertwined with brief periods of civilian rule have all failed us. I thus move the motion for true federalism initiative, many do not want that which is understandable because one never wipes his bottom first before using the toilet. We must first have a developmental blueprint for each region that ensures utilisation of regional resources as well as maximisation of our general wealth. The future of the Igbos is in the hands of our enlightened youths, not the street urchins or traders whose wisdom are limited by exposure. I invite opinions and insights into ways to develop and maximise the potentials of the igbo race. Hopefully once we have determined on paper through intelligent discourse on our future prospects we will seek our own country if true federalism isn't implemented I implore other tribes that are capable of national building, such as the yorubas and Northerners to observe and take cue from discussions and suggestions offered here. To look inwards towards positioning their people for true federalism or future seccesion. I will post opinions and suggestions in hope that this thread becomes a fruitful drive towards actualization of the igbo developmental agenda Please everybody's opinion is an opinion, everybody's suggestion is a suggestion, let's teach people decorum by our conduct in this thread, by respecting differing opinions and rather discussing towards a positive conclusion We are the leaders of tomorrow, unfortunately tomorrow has come and we are not yet good apprentices talk more of leaders. |
This thread like I said earlier is not an ipob thread. It's meant to meet other igbo people as well as push the igbo awareness initiative. I believe the Igbos are a great industrious people, capable of building a dubai in the lagoon if that came to pass, but any initiative without a blueprint or awareness that will sustain the proposed model is synonymous with chest beating and poor planning. Ndi igbo ibem, what developmental blueprint do you propose for the igbo race |
Therock5555:the fact is that you are at fault in everything happening to you. I can tell you categorically that most of the abuse you feel you are bring subjected to are exaggerated because you are viewing everything from the victim perspective, clearly you are disappointing your parents in one Way or the other. No proud parent will treat his or her child like this if not that they aren't proud of who you have become or who you will become. You sulk around your home, you take things too personally and you automatically believe they are against you simply because they disagree with you. Mr man grow up. Change your ways, be a better son, be a better brother to your siblings, accept your lot in life by trying to see things from your parents eyes first, it's in understanding first that people are understood, you haven't ever tried to understand your parents rather you believe they both hate you. I say this with confidence on two reasons, if you are being treated unfairly as the first born son by your father, your mum wil revolt but so far she says nothing and agrees with your old man then u get sko sko for head, and secondly I was everything you just mentioned above, the only difference is that I spent many a night tied up after serious beating for fingering my aunties or throwing my friend into a soak away pit and covering it up in hope he died. Despite my devilshness I played the victim card just as you are doing till I became a man and realised i could have been landlord pickin thanks to the devil's in me as well as my behaviour. The moment I changed my ways to accepting my parents and siblings as my life, I also started understanding them too, after awhile they now understand me too. Cheers |
chimkaire:exactly, it wasn't well thought out asides their desire to prove to the black man that he truly an inferior being. TUFIAKWA |
Well written, though I don't do entertainment, very drab |
Naija people and dishonesty. If I were European I will colonize Africa again. Bunch of theives everywhere you go, just like mtn |
Clap for urself. Ugly murderer |
Asides the health benefits of having a normal body weight. I really have issues with topics that depict being fat is ugly, and being slim is pretty, it's a wrong stereotype that the west has infected us with, yet we wonder why America is the obese capital of the world. Point is that it's healthy to have a normal weight. But it's not necessarily beautiful. I for one find slim ladies unattractive and won't have an attention If kept in a room filled with naked thin girls, cos all is see are elbows and knees everywhere. Kinda gay |
DetectiveDeb:Well true. Cheers then |
Carlson001:go with engineering. Though in both courses you are an illiterate if you don't learn programming or networking |
This made front page with no comments. Wow. Guess this is what exists here |
