Just say you don't want Martins because this your Ighalo yarns get as ee be. When I argued against the inclusion of Martins I based it entirely on my sentiments and I said so. Your attempt to rationalise why Ighalo will be invited and not Martins when both of them play in China, have almost the same goalscoring stats, when Ighalo has not scored a single goal with his head for us makes your points one kind, one kind Bro. Ighalo is not one known to be good with his head. Since Adepoju and maybe Agali we've not had any player that it can be said that that player is good with his head. None!
Better to argue against his inclusion on the grounds of team spirit but not this points above. They ain't valid.
Exactly man! I mean if he's saying Ighalo has better qualities and this same Ighalo is benching Nacho, why not compare Nacho qualities to that of Martins. What does Nacho bring as a 9 that Martins can't offer??
The only valid excuse for not inviting Martins is sentimental(i.e disruptive presence in the dressing room, etc) but it can NEVER be based on ability. That is fact. Martins is a better 9 than Nacho at the moment. I'll continue to say it.

I've said Akpeyi clearly needs to see a psychologist time and time again on here. Maybe he should wear Chippa United's Jersey when he's playing for us.

Enyeama left Eagles unceremoniously due to captain band issue, not having issue with Mikel is not the question, remember Musa is still in the team, how do you expect them to relate. This things brings confusion into the team.

If Rohr can manage it no wahala, they are Nigerians and are still eligible to play for us.
I agree in regards to team spirit, but Enyeama should be more mature now and not make an issue out of it.

It's a longstanding culture in the eagles for the oldest player to be captain and undisputed leader in the team, mikel can never be captain with an enyeama in the team. The older players have always been disruptive in our national teams or you think a mikel can set the rules for martins?

It's not a joke o! It has cost us real problems in the past world cups and afcon tournaments. You think all was well in the camp when yobo was present and enyeama was captain? Have you forgotten how enyeama quickly handed over the afcon trophy to yobo in 2013.

We can't simply afford those distractions in the world cup with the group we are in. Our players are not oyinbos for Christ sake despite playing in europe, na thick african blood dem get where seniority na big matter
If they don't accept Mikel as captain, then they shouldn't be invited. I also appreciate the importance of good team spirit

I agree but who will captain martins? mikel? This is where the problem is, it's a cultural thing in the eagles set up that the oldest player captains the team to avoid unnecessary squabble. This is what most of us are concerned about. A martins or enyeama inclusion in that team right now will upset the team balance and we know it. Remember that oliseh had to stylishly freeze mikel out of the team to make musa captain and after oliseh left, the captain band had to be returned to mikel to balance the team again.

Moreover let's stop using the past heroics of martins to justify his inclusion, the martins that was raping nesta and maldini in the past is not the same martins today. let's be honest
How do we know Martins or Enyeama wouldn't accept Mikel as captain?? Besides I've never heard of Martins being a disruptive influence in the dressing room.

nacho has scored great goals for Nigeria during the wcq and in the international friendly against argentina, hence its easy for him to be defended, the ighalo you said that taught him how to play lone 9 has scored how many goals for Nigeria compared to nacho?

talking should be done on the pitch for the national team for any player. Martins never leave up to that expectation in his recent appearances for the eagles and that's a fact.
What position did Nacho play when he scored most of those goals?? I can guarantee you he didn't score more than 30 percent of them playing as a lone 9. Why did Rohr invite Ighalo and start him immediately if Nacho was performing so well as a 9?? Are you going to deny at the moment that Ighalo is not our first choice number 9?

haba, so Iheanacho has never posted an average performance for the Super Eagles? Chai, y'all should fear God sometimes
I'm starting to think when it comes to Nacho, some people lose any sense of rational thinking on here. We've seen people say Nacho is better than Martins was at his age despite a young Martins raping Nesta and Maldini then. Now we're hearing Martins was a flop for SE despite being our 5th highest goal scorer and having scored 11 in his first 15 games. Funny thing is most are only advocating for Martins to be a squad player/impact sub. What is there to be afraid of?? If he flops at the friendlies - don't invite him. It's not that hard

you guys have a way of defending the flop of your favourite players even when its glaring to all grin
Martins is not my favorite player. I've watched a few of his games and feel he is a good option to come from the bench. If anything, it's Nacho that has been defended on here despite flopping as a lone striker and a China based Ighalo showing him how to play as a lone 9.

there is nothing simple anymore...
we have gone beyond the stage of trial and error....
the bench should be for young and hungry players.....and not for one old leg.

your points on nacho and many others posing an average performance is not true...

even when the young nacho fired blanks you see his impact in those games...how he kept pressure on the opponent defenders. ..
as such allow his colleagues to do damages...

on unche....I believe you just trying to create excuses for him....
more than 45 minutes is enough for any player to prove himself...
I remember osaze took just few minutes to prove keshi wrong against Iran...and against Bosnia he earned a starting berth...and even scored the lone goal....

so that lane excuses for martins and co holds no water......
Ahhh so Osaze now proved Keshi wrong?? I thought someone on here said he flopped after being forced on Keshi?
What impact did young Nacho have against SA?? Nacho has flopped in most of the games he played as a lone 9.
That is just the plain truth.

Remember the cries for ike uche? When he was finally invited what did he do? What about Lukman Haruna? That one was so poor he couldn't even complete 1st half before he was subbed off.

The fans will always feel they're better players not invited. The grass is always greener at the other side, typical Nigerian mentality.
Keshi decided to invite Uche for our last game in the qualifiers instead of earlier on. He didn't have a great game but do we judge him by just that game?
Didn't Lukman Haruna score in one of our friendly games before the world cup in 2010?? He didn't flop in every match he played.
Martins can have an impact in this team. Ighalo was posting few average performances before he got dropped and then Rohr reinvited him after deciding he needed a target man. Nacho has had bad games as well. I repeat, If Ighalo from the same "weak" Chinese league is our first choice CF, then martins can do a job from the bench. Simple as that.

Is Uzoho not better than him? Bhuahaha.

Now, answer my question. Can you give cogent fact to prove Alampasu was not impressive last season? I need fact from an independent unbiased source. Thank you.
Can you bring proof he was above average last season?

Nothing irritates me in football analysis as someone arguing something that he does not know.

First of all, Sylvain Wiltord played as a striker in games for Arsenal. It is clear you just browsed wiki and came to argue. Anyone who followed Arsenal back then will not debate this.

Saying Kanu does not come close to Bergkamp is another baffling statement. Keeo in mind Kanu had a heart condition and could not get a fair run of games. However, when he played, his quality was not a doubt.

Watch this clip and tell me Dennis Bergkamp could ever produce this kind of quality.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOGvmsanDAk

Calling Nsofor average is another weak one. Nsofor was on fire when he had his run at West Ham. Certainly one of the best in the English Premier League during his run of games. It was terrible when he was unfairly dropped. A big case for the Nigerian factor point. For you to use the term average, shows you did not watch Nsofor at West Ham at all. Those who did knew how brilliant he was during the window of his run.

For you to say Okocha, 18 games no goal for Hull, shows another misconception. Okocha played his role for Hull and he was vital. I even remember some assists he gave Fraizer Campbell, who I think was on loan from Manchester United. There are also pre-assists and also vital passes that create scoring opportunity to hinge your point on goals to value Okocha.
Kanu while incredibly talented as his peak, was never as good as Bergkamp. Not at Ajax, not at Arsenal.
Okocha was past it at Hull. Out of those 18 games, he only started 10 and had 3 assists.

it would have called for concern if someone like rohr toil same line...

because everyone who is currently conversant wit the super eagles...play wit a fair and unbiased mind knows he is well ahead of Martins whenever the super eagles is mentioned...

martins could not attain his feet for super eagles at his age....
Are you aware Martins scored 11 goals in his first 15 games for us?? Nacho is good but it's like Komekn, Mickael2, etc have been saying - we tend to overhype him on here sometimes.
The funny thing is people are asking for Martins to just get a look in. There was a time when people thought Ighalo was done with us and NACHO was our undisputed first choice. Invite Martins and test him in a few games and decide if he's good enough...simple!!

Now you want to talk about innocence. Maybe if their great generations have defrauded great powers like them and not gullible vulnerable Africans, black communities in western world will not be going through what they are facing right now.

Nothing scammers take from these White people that will amount to what they have taken from us Black People. They have taken our pride and security, they have trained us like horses to be obedient, they domesticated us like lower animals. I have personally chatted with a White woman who doesnt know am black, she said and I quote "I can not talk to a Black man, I cant even stand next to one. I can't stand them" Racism is real. Leicester City sucked especially at the back and Musa could not have been blamed for that. He might have been underwhelming but so was Jamie Vardy and anybody not named Ndidi.
I think those reports were based on sources from his camp.
Musa wasn't helped by Gray having bright cameos whenever he came on. I thought Musa and Vardy would've made a good striking partnership but oh well...let him move to Hull and play under his old coach at CSKA

How do I say am not defending him without saying; there is something about bad governments that you cant take away, they either lead the youth to scam or drug dealing or worse. Its happening in the U.S and many other big countries and when this thing become more serious, it becomes a culture. Like what the U.S black community have with Gangbanging and drug dealing. The next generation will not want to go to school, there is a lot going on there than judging them, people have to do something. Our girls are going into prostitution and people are judging them because they think there is nothing wrong with the system. But this is all a trap set by the system and we need to change the system. Imagine how bad e be for man to wan stroll go Europe via Libya.
They should defraud the evil politicians then and not old vulnerable women and college students with students loans to worry about.
