There is no need to talk jor. Is this not the same Dino that was acting film in the courtroom when he was been tried for money laundering? I weep for youths still supporting this set of heartless humans that has enslaved them for over six decades now.

We need the Nigerian opposition united against APC, Tinubu and Buhari, not weeping.

University days were beautiful with my inner circle of friends. We were 4: two guys, two babes.

Oh sorry...

Did I just say inner circle?

It suggests there was an outer circle abi?

Sorry.
That was all I had, except about 2 other childhood friends that I was not in touch with.

I no too sabi the plenty friends thing. Pardon me.

Back to the gist.

These my clique are spiritual people, yet sooo playful. Chaii

What about intelligence?...Hmm...I'm a sapiophile.

All 3 of them have their brains intact academically.

I ended up dating one of them.

He ticked a lot of boxes in my dream man checklist then.

But you see, that my checklist had rankings.

My faith came first. And with this friend of mine, we had some major differences in believes, though we were both of same religion. I knew these differences will pose a challenge in marriage.

We had to go our separate ways.

Remember I said, all my friends were spiritual right?

Don't confuse things when making your choice for a marriage partner. Know what's important to you.

Don't get carried away.

After my uni days, I wondered: "Will I ever find a God-fearing man as playful as I want?

To me, all these our church brothers are too serious or boring for my liking. I can't deal.‍♀️

Somebody's son should not come and bore me to death in marriage abeg.

That was how about 4 years later, this man walked into the church one beautiful Sunday morning.

My sister and I exchanged glances.

Those gossip glances, where we don't need to talk, yet the message is passed and it's simple: "fresh young man just walked in" alert.

During announcement, he was introduced.

At the mention of his name, all my curiosity to know him more came crashing down.

Deltan!...oh please.‍♀️

❌❌Disqualified for husband material!

He had just relocated to that vicinity. So he placed his membership in our congregation.

I would be seeing more of him.

We were brother and sister in the Lord. We became acquaintances due to the youth group in the church.

Then one weekend, as we had light conversations while weeding the church surrounding, he mentioned he had a published article online for his masters project.

Wow, this Christian brother seems to like book o.

I still doubted.
Then he said "You can search for my name on google."

Ehn?

"Your name appears on google search engine?"

That was new to me.

Me and my love for writing.

Omo...that was the moment I decided that we were going to be friends.

I later discovered that he reads books too.

Hmm...what-a-wawwu!

These are the kind of friends I want.

I had written several articles. None had been published.

This person was already on the path I was headed. I believed he could point me to the way. Masters thesis publication might not be relevant to what I was looking for but I wanted my name on Google search engine as an author as well.

Friendship began.

MIND YOU, anything beyond friendship is not allowed o....according to my rules. Urhobo man was a NO NO by my orientation.

I simply wanted to walk with the wise and grow wise. I wanted to become a published author and I found one. I wasn't about to let go.

 Make friends purposefully.

Make friends whose values resonate with yours to a reasonable degree.

Carry your vision and values with you everywhere you go. God uses them to direct your actions.

Sir, let me try to explain this in simple term so that we all understand...for me we don’t have any credible person just now. Let’s assume we are bringing the best president in the world today to come and govern this country, he would still fail because our problem is not the leaders but the constitution that is being used to run the system. If you have a baking pan that has a dent on it, whatever bread that comes out of the pan would assume the form of the pan. So if you want a bread that is free of dents, you should first fix the pan. I come in peace.

Righteousness2 and my mom. When the righteous is on the throne the people rejoice. We haven't given God a place in our democracy, government and anything relating to politics. Nepotism, greed, corruption and pride won't allow us to.
What has religion got to do with this? What about the Christians we have in the south south, south east and south west? What difference have they made? We all blame leaders and forget about those that collected 1k at most 2 cups of rice to put them in office. Our case is just like that of goats that voted wolves to lead them and when they are being devoured by the wolves they wonder why. We are our own problems, leave religion out of this. Vaughanlanrewaj:

I am not sure you read the story or perhaps you did not understand it ma. These are people doing well in Nigeria yet travelled overseas and decided to cheat the system of their host country.
Not everyone wants to go Yankee ma. Not even by this crooked manner . All the preliminary signs are always there. A crocodile in Nigeria can't become a Tiger in UK/US. That Henry guy must have been breaking the laws but getting away with it in Nigeria, he just carried such obnoxious behaviour overseas and unfortunately for him, he now can't get away with it anymore.

If he is not a law breaker, he should have left UK and returned home rather than living the rest of his life as a fugitive.
When people create problems for themselves they should be honest to admit it instead of blaming others or their native country.

Some people are so good on their jobs here in Lagos that they are routinely sent overseas to work and they return home even before their visa expires.I sometimes cringe when I see some Nigerians hustling and getting paid far less for what they can earn here at home but too ashamed to come back home. It is never too late to come back home and rebuild especially when you see your life goals flashing away before you eyes. Why on earth will I want to spend years overseas as a menial job worker?
Well said...but please note that majority of people leaving the country is not only for greener pastures but for a working system. A system where you pay for energy you get it, you pay for water and you get it...the list is endless. Our system here doesn't support creative thinking but rather celebrate mediocrity and bigotry. Don't so much blame them, I could understand the pain some people pass thru in this country...may God Almighty heal our land.

ESN shot themselves in the foot with their videos taunting the Fulani-led FG that was already cranky at the treatment of Fulanis across the SE and SW.

Blame SE Governors, very greedy and corrupt Fulani asslickers , for putting Kanu in that position in the first place. With Amotekun in place, no way the FG can reject any move by SE governors to initiate a similar South East security outfit.

The bottom.line is that your greedy leaders don't want to fund it and prefer for Igbos to continue dying. Not a fan of Kanu or his method but SE Governors put him in the position where Igbos were happy to welcome and embrace his effort rather than question it as illegal.

Your Governors are wicked and worthless. This is why I am amazed Igbos prefer to use their time attacking Yoruba leaders when their own leaders are by far the worst in Nigeria.
I think our problem in this country is how we think as a people. The youths always have something to accuse the government about, while in reality the youths are the actual problem. Not until the beast called dichotomy is killed, Nigeria will never develop.

My submission is this...let's contrate on the problem and forget about the ethnicity, the religion...poverty is a weapon of mass destruction... you guys should be wise

Politics / Re: Lockdown: Canadian Government Gave Us N626k Each, I'm Not Coming Home - Nigerian by Edijana2015(m): 5:38am On Apr 22, 2020
The biggest problem we have in this country is illiteracy. I knew before the pandemic that the leaders have their own issues but the masses are truly the cause of our problem in this country. It is audible to the deaf and visible to the blind that virtually all Nigerians are corrupt just that they do not have opportunity to exhibit their stealing and corrupt abilities.

Ask a Nigerian man to shortlist names of people working in an organization for palliatives, then you will understand that corruption is at every level in this country.
Yet we point accusing fingers to the government alone.

April 2016, I received NEPA bill of over 10k for an apartment that I have not moved into. I visited their office to find out why. So I took them to my house and truly they saw there was nothing in the building. They asked me to just pay 5k and forget about it, but I refused and decided not to use NEPA light anymore. I then wrote an application for them to disconnect my light officially because we barely get more than 5 hours supply of light in 24 hours.
Some other persons liked my initiative and also apply for disconnection that same day.
The next minute i saw security personnel asking me to leave the office immediately or I will face the law for instigating citizens.
I tried to make people around understand that if we all reject the bill and seek for disconnection, they must listen to us. I wept that day for Africans because we are not united and the bottom. Do you what; you cannot liberate a man that doesn't know his/her right. Over 90% of the citizens don't know what they want that is our problem.

See my fellow Nigerians let's not get it twisted we are more powerful than the government we elected if we are united, just that we suffer from schizophrenia.

We haven't seen nothing yet, they will continue to mistreat us, reduce us and rub us of all our rights as citizens.

Too many things to talk about but...

Religion / Abuse by Edijana2015(m): 9:48am On Mar 03, 2020
Opportunities present themselves to us at different times in our lives. Some we identify, some we do not. When certain privileges or levels of freedom are given, they serve as opportunity for development. However when we cannot identify such opportunities, we cannot take advantage of it and subsequently, abuse becomes inevitable

Religion / The Will Of God by Edijana2015(m): 7:29am On Feb 10, 2020
“what is God’s will for you?"
I am the first child of my typical Yoruba parents and for my western Nigerian folks; I guess you understand what that means. Both of them are natives of the same state and hometown. So they had always sung the importance of intra-tribal marriage to us since when we were teenagers. Of course, they added the need for us to marry from the Church (I was born into a Christian home). So, basically, in addition to our own imaginary checklist of childish fantasies, we (my siblings and I) had two items on my parents’ ‘checklist of potential life partner’ for us: marry a Yoruba man in the Lord. That requirement turned out more difficult for me to achieve than how it sounds.

Decision Making

I had turned down a number of marriage proposals because the suitors did not meet both requirements. It was either a Yoruba guy from a different Church or a Christian brother of a different tribe. My friends believed it was a dumb idea to segregate between Christians. “Must he be from your Church?” “Are we all not Christians?” These were regular questions I got from them. It was too hard to make them see why my husband and I needed to be of the same fold. I was growing older and I soon reached a point when I decided to place all my cards on the table. I remembered the story of Mary and Martha in the Bible. Martha had opened the door of her home for Jesus. While he was with them, Mary had chosen the company of Jesus Christ while Martha had chosen to busy herself with serving their guest. Jesus made it clear to her that she was troubling herself with so many things. However, only one thing was needful. Mary had chosen that part and it cannot be taken away from her. It was time to ask myself some hard questions. What was truly important? Could God’s will be the same as my parents’ will? If it wasn’t, then I told myself I was ready to resign to whatever He wills for me. I finally got my cue from the account of Jesus’ temptation in Luke 4. Devil tempted Jesus in three ways and the response he got from Jesus forms the basis of three simple signs to figure out God’s will for anyone. These signs are applicable in different areas in everyday life decision making.
Fitting God’s will into the Decision-making process

Now let’s fix these answers into your question. “What is God’s will for me in this matter?”

Answer: Whatever decision you make

1. Must not contradict God’s word

2. Must not take God’s place in your life, and

3. Must not be an attempt to test God

Sometimes we keep badgering God with our “what-do-you-want-from-me?” lines for months or years and He just seems absolutely silent. I imagine Him just looking at us unruffled like a father watching his kid throw tantrums. A typical Nigerian parent will just say “when you’re done ranting, you know just what to do.” Yes! He already gave you guidelines in His word. Do not go beyond the word. Do not accept whatever would take His place in your life and do not test Him. After all these you are still asking “what do you want me to do?” A lot of times we still keep asking Him not because we don’t know His will but because His will is not ours and we are just hoping that by one ‘streak of fortune’ He can just adjust His will to suit our wish. No, dear! It doesn’t work that way.

What about you?

Are you in a relationship that constantly makes you violate God’s command? Do you have a job offer that will come in between you and God...

The real problem we have in Africa is illiteracy and we suffer from schizophrenia. Too many persons are too lazy to go thru all the pages of the e-psaaport as well as other academic related materials because their minds have been programmed negatively.
The reason I am worried is not because of those images but it is because of the numbers of persons that are reacting without trying to find out the truth value of the news.
So to conclude the real thing is that majority of Africans have a very lazy mind, and this in turn cloud their judgements.
Not until we budget more money for education and recreate our failed institutions Africa will hardly develop.
