Katsumoto:Illogical conjecture you say ? Why don't you read through many of what the posters have put down here before getting back to me ? And believe me you don't have to be a card carrying member of any party to know any of those things i mentioned. Most 18 year olds in Nigeria will give you those answers. The problem i have is with people who know next to nothing about what's on ground coming here to talk about things like it's a simple arithmetic. |
Chei ! na wa o. Some of you probably have never seen a Nigerian polling booth before. Some have never seen a Nigerian voters card. Some have never seen what an INEC office looks like. Some have never seen the PdP or ACN Logo. Some don't know what PDP or ACN is acronym for, don't even know write these acronyms down. But na una go still come here come give us political analysis over matters wey our own hands dey inside o. Na real wa ![]() |
Pafuri:The so called cash strapped states that can't even provide potable fricking water for their citizens will spend millions sending thousands abroad. I can't understand it. |
mukina2:Wetin will i talk over this matter ? Because this one is worster than Giggs calling Terry Ashewo. The two both of you have been absent for too long giving dayo opportunity to feel like real human being on this thread. As for dayo, you can see how your purposeless club has driven toba into hiding ba ? You will see him everywhere but the bayern thread, poor chap ![]() |
Are these players worth arguing over ? Really ? Arsenal is probably the only club i know that has a player flirting/is reported with another club each and every fricking summer . I mean if it's not Fab/Arshavin with Barca, it's Bendtner with Moroka Swallows. Personally, i think this says alot about the club and how things are done there. What are we criticizing Nasri over ? He's doing the same thing virtually every player in the club has at one summer or the other utilised to achieve their (selfish) ends.We all know who the fault lies with so lets stop these 'ostrich head in sand' comments. |
The thieving monster has been dead for over a decade but his loot is still trickling in. These guys raided this country baaaaad . Smh |
For so many children to be illiterate and innumerate in a state is nothing short of structural violence perpetrated by the state government since basic education in today’s world is every child’s right and is extremely beneficial to the larger society. Such rights violation and associated inter-generational transmission of poverty inevitably quickly reproduces itself in a large cohort of under-18 s that are ignorant, frequently ill, restive and prone to engaging in the worst forms of armed violence. Yet, every state government (along with its constituent local councils) in Nigeria can easily afford to provide free universal basic education if it is appropriately prioritized.Which is already manifesting itself |
StarBoard:So we can chastise neanderthals like you who refuse to become extinct. @even when Bayern had Khan they were no gooders, what would a lesser rated Neuer add to the shambolic team ? |
Cougars aren't the brightest of animals . . .Lol, , quote of the week. |
silverstud:Might be right, but commercially i'd go with Abia state as the driver of the region SouthWest - Oyo State not Lagos is the heart of the region and until Oyo gets it right the SouthWest region will not progress much. This is where i totally disagree with you. How's it possible to consider Oyo state ahead of lagos when it comes to the engine driving the southwest ? There're probably atleast a million people from each southwest state based in lagos if we look thoroughly. The ACN machine is greased with money from lagos BTW SouthSouth - Delta State not Rivers is the heart of the region and until Delta gets it right the SouthSouth region will not progress much.Another mis-cue, Delta might pump out more crude than Rivers state but there is no way in heaven's carnation i'd rate Delta ahead of rivers. I wouldn't even consider Delta ahead of porthacourt commercially

NorthCentral - Plateau State is the most important NorthCentral State. I believe that Once Plateau is working most if not all NorthCentral states will be working (if i may borrow from Fashola's Slogan).I agree with you here though, plateau state is vital to the progress of the region but the distance between the states poses a challenge to be contd. |
No integrity whatsoever, after every thing this is how it ends ? And we wonder why corruption keeps flying high |
Awesome idea, well it's been an awesome idea for a while now, never seems to take off though. The problem now will be ghost citizens, i.e. corrupt officials registering phantom citizens into the database |
1025:I'd like to believe you're of adult age so i'll address you accordingly. There have been bomb blasts in Nigeria since the 80's, has anyone ever been identified or arrested in connection with any ? This is probably the first time measures are being taken in the aftermath of one so don't run your mouth if you have nothing to offer. It is not a secret on the section of the country suspected of being behind those blasts and that is probably why these arrests are targeted at these specific groups low lives. “Our fear is that this incessant arrest can lead to another round of crisis especially if the massacre of our people at southern Kaduna is anything to go by. We didn’t see the police intimidating or arresting the suspects of the massacre, which means they have targets on those to victimise. The Vice President, Namadi Sambo, who is said to be behind the arrest of our scholars and people, should be very careful because the more our people are arrested and intimidated the more we hate the VP and his entire party,” Malam Mai Jama’a said. You voted againt him and his party but they still won the elections overwhelmingly, fair and square. So you could say the more you hate them, the better their fortunes elsewhere. |
YoungBrain:And where exactly do we look, heaven or burkina faso ? Dangote will get that deal if he really wants it, that's the reality of the whole matter. The Govt will say it's better they sell to an indigenous bidder and Dangote fits that description. |
Cummins joins a growing number of U.S. companies vying for a stronger foothold on the continent. Caterpillar Inc., the giant maker of construction equipment, is selling more trucks to Mozambique and Zambia. Harley-Davidson Inc. is opening dealerships in Botswana and Mauritius. General Electric Co. has its first aircraft-leasing office in Ghana for Central and West African airlines. Google Inc., Archer Daniels Midland Co. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. are among the dozens of other U.S. companies moving in or expanding.Harleys in Botswana and Planes in Ghana, what happened to Nigeria ? It's now obvious why China is far ahead of these guys, they've lost touch with reality. All roads lead to Nigeria if you're serious about doing business here. |
This is a good reward for sokoto leave which voted overwhelmingly for PDP. NASS members from sokoto are PDP if i'm not mistaken. Pls anyone who knows Tambuwal should tell him to plead with the sokoto state govt and governor Magatakarda to pay LG workers who didn't vote PDP. As much as i despise CPC and ANPP i don't think this type of witch hunting is fair. It is abuse of power |
Hehehe . European season is officially over, welcome to the afterseason.@topic, later in romance section you'll be hearing Nigerian girls this, Nigerian girls that, it's all and every where man. Many young women and men will sleep with their parents if they're wealthy or influential enough. It's sad cos i didn't think i'd live long enough to experience such things |
But this isn't exactly news, we've known this for months |
http://www.conelle.net/apps/blog/entries/show/7229029-lagos-state-governor-baabatunde-fashola-commissions-10mw-island-power-project- Lagos State Governor, Mr Babatunde Fashola (SAN) on Wednesday formally commissioned the 10 Megawatts Island Power Project with a call for an urgent completion of the implementation of the nation’s Power Sector Programme. Speaking at the Cable Street, Lagos location of the power plant, Governor Fashola who pledged that his administration would embrace the power sector reform programme enunciated by President Goodluck Jonathan, however, declared, “I hope that all those entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the power sector programme will find the courage, urgency and dedication that is necessary to finally free up the sector and let private capital come into it”. Governor Fashola said the 10 MW Island Power Project is a modest beginning from which the administration intends to expand to many areas in the Lagos Island and ultimately the entire State adding that the State Government has already conducted a power audit for 500 buildings in the Central Business District (CBD). He added that an IPP of about 114 Megawatts would be needed to power the 500 buildings in the CBD, stressing that already a group of investors are showing interest in the project. The Governor who was very assertive about the intention of the Government to lead from the front informed that with the Island Power Project Government will save about 46 percent of the revenue of what would have been spent on diesel and generators as well as poisonous fumes which may reduce life expectancy. He said what may prove to be a challenge to the plan is how to move gas which would be used to power the IPP from Ijora across the lagoon to the Island, which the government is committed to surmounting. Governor Fashola also said another benefit of the new IPP is that it will take off about 30 generators with capacity ranging from 10 KVA to 100 KVA. The Governor also informed that the State Government has commissioned a power audit for Shomolu which is unarguably the capital of printing business in Nigeria to provide independent power supply to the area adding, however, that the only challenge for the project is land as the government will need about 4000 square metres of land for the project. According to him, a Power audit of the State Secretariat Alausa is almost completed and procurement will soon commence, adding that it is expected that the public power supply not taken up will be deployed by the Power Holding Company ( PHCN) to members of the public who need it. Also nearing completion Governor Fashola said is the power audit for the Matori Industrial Estate to provide power to manufacturers. He enumerated the structures and areas to benefit from the Island Power Project to include the Lagos High Court, J.I.C Taylor Magistrate Courts, the Island Maternity Hospital, the Lagos House, Marina and street lights in at least 20 streets on the island. |
thereafter some people go yarn say naAmended. |
karl max:Guy, welcome to the parody known as Nigerian Politics. Strange as it may be this is another method politicians use to seek for appointment. When he was running round abuja with dozens of govt purchased and fuelled SUVs Nigeria was perfect i guess |
I don't know why we lack simple management rules in this country, DON'T PLAY WITH WORKERS WAGES. Simple. One would think more than a month after the elections such matters should have been over and done with. The worst thing is that the FG had already provided INEC with funds eons ago. |
Jimmy Boy:The govt is doing most of the overlooking. These are ventures they can partner with farmers and see their IGRs double in a matter of years. |
Agricultural exports, processing plants etc. Our only way out of the unemployment quagmire |
StarBoard:And ofcourse coming from the alter ego of donkey's suicidal gay lover, your words are as golden as the geneva convention. |
Yeaaaahh ! New thread for the new season . Must have watched the UCL final like 4 times already, can't understand how we're not the perennial champs in England, beat's me ![]() |
As useless as daily trust is i don't think any govt has the power to ban it, i think that power resides with the judiciary(and that's where they've infringed on rights orhave been involved in malpractice). But then again after reading the story it seems their reporter was told he wasn't welcome to be part of press team covering the governor. I'm wondering about the legality of that too. |
