13volts, children being called witches and wizards is something the Akwaibom govt has come down hard on and people are in jail for it today with many still awaiting their punishment. No need to mention the outcry that the situation created with people Oyiza Adaba taking the case to the international front.
I beg you to please show where the larger hausa society has condemned the almajiri culture which condemns young boys to poverty and illiteracy. Right now as i speak there are probably more beggars on the streets of Nigeria of hausa origin than there are of children going to school.

At the end of the day, my values and aspirations are totally at variance with yours and what that means is perpetual conflict. Rather than waste my time in conflict with people, i'd rather use that time to develop myself and my environment.

Ketty King corruption occurs everywhere in Nigeria, may be even worse among non hausas. But because there's corruption doesn't mean people should not develop; Mexico is one of the most corrupt countries in the world but has a GDP of over a trillion dollars, even Italy is corrupt to an extent but the people and countst still develop.
Take a trip to sokoto, Jigawa, kano, bauchi, yobe or any other capital of a predominantly hausa state and see the level of illiteracy, backwardness and underdevelopment and compare to jos, makurdi, lokoja, kaduna south or ilorin. How many students pass WAEC from the first group i mentioned ?
The middle belt itself is even behind other regions which i know is cos of it's proximity to you know who. If the generality of the hausa people don't want to send their boys and girls to conventional schools and instead prefare madarasas, fine no problem, the thing is that they can go on and do that in their own country which is a fair arrangement if you ask me.

About the kaduna state governorship, that to me is not remotely as important as the creation of a southern kaduna state being talked about. I'm sorry to sound harsh but i hate waking up everyday to know that i come from the same state as some people i absolutely cannot stand or tolerate. I'm not paying there's anything wrong with them, i just do not want to even remotely be grouped or in anyway linked with them.

I also an author an have researched the regime of Adolf Hitler.
These are some of his achievements:
1. Stabilization and strengthening of the German army, navy and Luftwaffe.

2. Investment in rocket engine and manufacture of the first rocket missiles and first jet engine planes in the 1940s

3. Monumental growth of the GDP of Germany under his reign.

4.Increase in the land mass of Germany under his goverment.

5. Victory of the German army over some of Europes super powers in the 1940s.

6.solidifying the links between the various regions of Germany i.e. Bavaria to the south.

^^ The truth is bitter. As Nigeria stands today there's no way development can truly come about. These people reproduce millions of children that will never read or write and that to me is a recipe for disaster.
After the nation breaks into different parts and ND have left with oil money, where will the monthly allocation come from ? The middle belt has an educated work force, untapped minerals and fertile lands to start with, i don't have to tell you about the south-east, south-south and south-west, just where who or where will they turn to ? Is it the Abacha family or Yerima ?

Sonofpeace:
@poster. I got the message you were trying to pass on about the kaduna state governotorial seat left vacant by mr sambo. If a XTAIN northerner from kaduna cannot be a governor(which i know that its not gonna be easy) just because of his religion, where does all these ideas about North being one migrated from?
My guy there is no such thing as north, it is the rubbish some mo.rons have been using to hold Nigeria's development back. Unfortunately the older generation in the middlebelt sat back and let their identity be used for such politicking but can you really blame them ? They believed in that one Nigeria crap that people like OBj , Solomon Lar et al still romanticize about.
Politics › Re: Kaduna On Red Alert As Christian Prepares To Take Over by edoyad(m): 9:15am On May 14, 2010
TBH, there's nothing spectacular about Yakowa becoming governor cos he's kind of old school. There's not much attractive about KD with the parts of the state where these hausa people live being infested with Almajiris, beggars, disease and the smell of urine all over.
The big deal to me is the state creation that will carve out these hausa people and live them with their land to continue in their illiteracy and backwardness. It may sound sick but may be a bloody religious riot might actually be needed to remind those legislators not to play around with the creation of that new state.
At the end of the day, just like Ghadaffi and many others have predicted/advised, Nigeria will broken into different parts and believe me i can't wait to see how hausa people will end up like somalia because considering their present circumstance it's their destiny.

@ everyone. Especially paddy lo

I think people are making a big mistake by thinking the middle belt is a Christian area… With the exception of states like plateau, taraba and benue, the middle belt is still largely muslim in composition, Now, the tricky thing about the muslims in the middle belt is that they like to vote along the same lines as muslims in the far north for the simple fact that when a northerner is president, they can easily relate to him than when the president is from the south. The ‘united north’ thing may not b perfect but it’s still quite strong and formidable
Haha, can you name one democratically elected christian governor in Lagos state's history ? At the turn of the history about half the governors from the southwest were muslim, does that mean the yoruba man votes in the same direction as the hausa muslim ?
Go and check history, people will vote in line with what will benefit them, so don't be suprised when the southeast votes against Jonathan- which any politically schemer could take advantage of by appointing an Igbo president/VP.

I know muslims from kwara and kogi states and believe me i know where their allegiance lies and it's not with the muslim north.
But then again things aren't as black and white as many people here are erroneously painting, coming from the middle belt myself i wouldn't vote a person like Joshua Dariye into power but i'd vote Nuhu Ribadu.
u guys give OBJ too much credit, The power he had was the power of incumbency. . .

This resides now with GJ

Witness how a dying and unseen Yaradua was able to hold the nation to ransom

The Nigerian Presidency is a very powerful institution for a number of reasons

but mostly it is because

1) Most Nigerian politicians are corrupt so they tend to support the incumbent to save their neck from EFCC(witness ogbulafors current predicament)
2)Most Politicians and traditional rulers want a share of the national cake in form of oil blocks allocations, therefore they will want to be close to anyone in the centre

I am making a prediction that Jonathan will run for president in 2011 and will win,
Right now he has the south south, south east and middle belt states, in the bag

With OBJs help he can get the south west except lagos

With sambos help he can get Kaduna,Kwara and Niger state

and that is all he needs, 20 states or thereabouts, let the opposition divide the rest
I guess you have a point with the 'power of the incumbency' theory.
On the other hand you guys make me laugh with your "19 northern states" thingy, what the F is that ? huh
Please some one should call out those so called "19 northern states" that will put IBB or what ever in power so this discussion can get more interesting.

Gbawe:
If Sambo is the VP then this is the clearest sign that Jonathan wan't to run for the Presidency. I don't like appointment based on anything other than merit but on this occasion I totally back Jonathan if this is his own initiative . If Jonathan can run for the Presidency and win that will be a new dawn for Nigeria. We will then have officially consigned to the bin the odious practice of zoning important positions to one region alone . The trickle down effect may see Nigeria begin to move away from other harmfully disciminative practices like "federal character".

Nonetheless, I will warn Jonathan to be careful in his daliance with OBJ. I can see that OBJ is up to his usual deception when he stated that "the Presiency is not zoned to any region". This statement , going by OBJ's precedence, is solely aimed at encouraging Jonathan to think that he has a chance while OBJ may actually be working to undermine him.

We can all remember how OBJ decieved Odili, Duke et al . Odili , in particular , covered the entire Nigeria campaigning, spending vast sums of money and seeking support only for OBJ to bully every non-Northerner out of the way for Yar Adua so that the PDP zoning arrangement could be respected I am sure that OBJ , back then , would have told Duke , Odili and co that the Presidency was not zoned . Mr. President be careful you are not made to look a fool by the devious rogues you are fraternising with.

Very good analytical skills you possess there, i didn't even look in that direction.

Who is the deputy governor of Kaduna State, I hope is a Southern Kaduna Xtian, I hope he would run for election in 2011 and win making him the first governor from Southern Kaduna.

Where is Isaiah Balat nowadays, I havent heard from him after that PDP gubernatorial elections of 2007 that schemed him out.

In 2011 South South president, Southern Kaduna governor. Edoyad your life don better only that ARsenal would still remain trophyless
Brother dayo orishirishi, the guy's name is Patrick Yakowa and he's a one time minister though he's kind of old school.

This is kind of an anti-climax considering that a southern kaduna state is already on the way. And as for the gunner line i'll handle you later

I don't want to a rumour monger, but "rumour" has it that Namadi Mohd Sambo is actually of Auchi descent; yes, I mean Auchi in edo state. His family is said to have settled in zaria which became their home.

Mohd "the sickler" Makarfi thought he was playing a fast one on the good people of southern kaduna when he used Sambo to scheme out erstwhile senator Isaiah Balat in the primaries of 2007, unfortunately the lap dog he thought he had acquired, like many other godsons, turned around and stuck his middle finger up to him.

To put the cherry on the muffin, the estranged god son will become VP at the expense of the daddy LOL.
I love hausa people.
