me i dont do all these maths deeply. what i know is this

i had 210,000 units of access bank

sold all @ N23. used the money to buy at N17

after all the fees

i currently have 277, 740 units. this is a gain of 67,740 units

if i decide to sell that gain now i will get N1,170,513 after commission. And i wont sell until i see it at N23

but if i had kept my 210,000 units without selling, i will earn dividend of N378,000 and when 10% WTH is out it will come down to N340,000.

Its good to know how to play with numbers and pray to be lucky as well.

i have not earned dividend in the past 4 years. what i do works for me

Just want to know why you are against someone going to those countries.

My reasons why I am against migrating to those 3 countries are:
1.Economy: Ivory coast has the biggest economy out of the 3 countries. Nigeria has bigger economic opportunity than Ivory Coast
2.Language Barrier: The language used in the 3 countries is French.
3.Migration To A Developing Country: The 3 countries are developing countries. It always better to migrate to a developed country like USA or Canada

Some folks are of the view you can't predict the future;but I am certainly sure that from year 2025 to 2045,Zenith Bank will never declare a loss for any single financial year.

If a country can offer good security, good roads, electricity, water, and a healthy business environment, it's so much not like Nigeria. Add to that a steady currency.

The 3 countries I mentioned above are not better than Nigeria.

The originator of this thread does not have adequate knowledge about debt(Treasury bills and Bond)!

The countries that were mentioned are creditors to the USA(the debtor).

The creditor countries make profits from the USA bond or treasury bills they bought.

We too dey play for Nigeria.

There are 4 business quarters in a year.In most cases; January to March is Q1(first quarter), April to June is Q2(second quarter), July to September is Q3(third quarter) and October to December is Q4(fourth quarter).

The total result from Q1,Q2,Q3 and Q4 gives rise to annual financial result.

Investopedia.com will be of profound help in stock market investing education.

You can Google search the businesses you have interest in to know if they have been profitable for like 10 years

Profitability of a business gives rise to dividend payment in most cases.

The 5 banks above are very good firms that pay dividends every year and they have never declared a loss in the past 10 years.

Same here. Zenith is one of the safest stock for newbie long-term investors to avoid stress. It's price appreciation might be slow but steady due to organic growth backed by results. Just buy as your power reach every month end and you will be fine in the long run.
