While you try to be west than the Westerners, you are beginning to sound ridiculous. Didn't the Europeans in the past burn witches at the stake, didn't they kill people that tried to disprove of some of their religious beliefs. Why are you trying to sound condescending to certain mistakes we made in the past? If Oyibo decides to get married to his dog, he or she can go ahead with that. We can tolerate and respect their choices but we can't accept that to be our norm. The Asians, Arabs etc don't give a shit about the abnormal things the Westerners do but don't the Westerners still respect them and place them over you? When you try to reason, think or act like someone, the best you can only be is a counterfeit.
There’s no need to be rude!

What have you been watching and enjoying lately? I got hooked on "You". I loved it. The suspense and the acting skills were superb even though it was a little unrealistic for the murderer to get away with everything for so long and in such a way.
I’m terrible with remembering titles but let’s see:

1. The two seasons of Glitch
2. The 1st two seasons of The Last Kingdom (those Vikings are drop dead gorgeous)
3. The Twilight Saga (yes, yes, I’m a hopeless romantic)
4. Bird Box (that got me gripping the edge of my seat. So tense...)
4. Underground angry (watched both seasons in one weekend. Wondering when season 3 will be out)

And a few more cheesy

Eating dog or cat is disgusting for some people but acceptable to others.
The person who doesn't eat dog can't harrass those who do eat dogs. He should respect their choice. This is what I call mutual respect.
However, this doesn't exclude the fact that eating dog is foolishness or rubbish to the person who doesn't eat dog.
Well then, as long as you keep your concept of foolîshness to yourself in your home, that’s fine.

Just don’t go around preaching and inciting hatred in a country that upholds freedom of choice and equal opportunities.

So rubbishing a person’s choice is showing mutual respect?

That is unfortunate if you are limiting the African heritage to the bolded.
You seem to ignore much about Africa. 700 years ago, some of the biggest libraries in the world were in countries like Mali (library of Timbuktu ).

Anyway, there are rubbish in every culture. We are doing away with rubbish of the African culture only to embrace the rubbish of westerners.
How rude.

No one is asking you to embrace the rubbish of westerners.

What you’re being asked to do is respect people’s choices. Just because you don’t agree with a person’s choice doesn’t make that choice rubbish.

Nigerian man returns home after a decade in Australia only to discover he was lied to

- The man found out that the brother he had been sending money to lied about building his house

- It was gathered that the brother had even sent him fake photos of another person's house tpo cover up his lies

A Nigerian man has taken to social media to share the story of a friend who was deceived by his elder brother. The man identified as Olaudah Equiano had revealed that his friend recently came back from Australia.

According to him, his friend had lived in Australia for ten years and he had been sending money home to his brother who claimed to have been building a house for him in the village.

The man narrated that his friend was shocked after he returned to discover that there was no house being built in the village.

I have seen videos of people getting married to their pets and it was celebrated. Nobody made an argument on consent on the part of the pet grin

When you tell a 5 year old girl in school that it's okay to be a boy and she can decide to be whatever sex she wants to be, did you consider her a consenting adult at that age? Talk about mutual respect and yet forcing your own believes on people.

The truth is everyone is guilty of hypocrisy in order to get one agenda or the other across.

So I do agree thecongo2 that people should not be labeled prehistoric for deciding to stick to a particular set of believes as long as its within the legal construct of where they are residing.
Do you label a white man prehistoric if they choose to live and work in Nigeria because their personal believe is not in line with Nigerian laws? Or do you tell them to pack and go back to their countryhuh Which is exactly what people are doing here cheesy
And your point is?

The stone age mentality is letting other people defining who we are the same way they did in the past.

Yes, our kids should respect everyone.
But we cant let them embrace just anything.

Please guys, say NO when your girl wants to marry another girl or her dog.
Teach your kids that homosexuality is unnacceptable in Africa. And we should be proud of our African heritage.
I really wish you’d just create a new post rather than update a post I’ve already responded to with new additions.

Our so called “African heritage” endorsed the killing of twins, human sacrifices, female circumcision and an oppressive patriarchal system that subdued (and still does) women.

Most of these stone age practices have been done away with and rightly so.

And how hard is it to understand congo2?

He is simply saying you can respect people's choices without you accepting it as your own truth.

Also I would like you to educate me on sexuality that you keep mentioning?
And how do you really differentiate it from bestiality.

What if someone says he was born to be attracted to animals? Or in future it becomes OK and legal to get married to your pets and have sex with them, what then will be your stance on bestiality?

I do accept people choices, I don't really care what you decide toi do with your life or who/what you decide to sleep with, I can still with work and makes friends with you, but that doesn't mean I must accept your choices as my moral truth or compass.. These are exclusive events and should not be married together
The key thing here is choice between consenting adults. How does practicing bestiality reflect CHOICE between CONSENTING ADULTS?

The rest of your post mirrors my argument.
TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by EfemenaXY: 4:03pm On Dec 30, 2018

I have said it earlier that the Canadian culture is about mutual respect.
Therefore, we can't stone a gay person because of his sexual orientation like the white people were killing anyone in Africa who didnt convert into their culture.
We can't discriminate against gays neither because they are protected by the constitution.

However, for you to say Nigerians have a prehistoric mentality because they don't agree with homosexuality is a low self esteem in itself.
It is like we have to accept anything the white master dictates. We can no longer choose what is permissible to teach our kids and what isn't.

The stone age mentality is letting other people defining who we are the same way they did in the past.

Yes, our kids should respect everyone.
But we cant let them embrace just anything.

Please guys, say NO when your girl wants to marry another girl or her dog.
Okay. Let’s clarify a couple of things here.

First of all the bolded section of your post is contradictory.

On one hand you concede it’s illegal to discriminate against homosexuals because of the constitutional laws in place (and rightly so to have those laws). Yet in the same breath you say Nigerians who disagree with homosexuality shouldn’t be labelled prehistoric.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. There is no issue with that. However, when one expresses their disagreement in a manner that is inflammatory and discriminatory, then yes it becomes an issue and is downright illegal.

The reason I picked on Nigerians was in response to the example Jenny gave (see bolded part of quote below):

JennyKadry2:
Exactly.....the irony though when it is a Christian claiming holy holy. As long as you are committing one sin or the other, you have no right to point fingers at people. I work with people who identify as LGBTQIA. Some of these people have opened their doors for me to enter their country. I stopped talking to one muslim woman who was invited(by another christian family) to our church's end of year and she was there talking about how being gay is a sin and the 14years sentence in Nigeria. Her husband couldn't get funding so they had to leave the country. Good riddance. Now they are fighting to come back. Stay in Naija and practice Sharia biko

I really do not care about anyone's sexuality as long as they are not hurting anyone. Imagine someone living with a boyfriend and talking about how being gay is a sin. Living with a person you are not married to or fornicating isn't a sin? since na you practice christianity pass undecided

White people have gone to all corners of the world and never integrated anywhere. Yet you are ok with this because they are white.
And when Africans refuse strange things like LGBT , you say they have a prehistoric mindsets.

This is just a low self esteem or inferiority complex.
Bestiality is uploading. Very soon we should start teaching our kids that it is okay to have sex with pigs and cows. And whoever doesn't agree with that has a stone age mentality
Right. So what do you advocate? Stone them to death? Bully and hound them till they commit suicide?

Does a person’s sexuality hinder them from carrying out their duties / performing their jobs?

It’s all about respecting people’s personal choices. How can you compare a person’s sexuality to bestiality? As long as no one is harmed then it’s no one’s business.

Re: your comment on whites refusing to integrate, etc...who says LGBT is a “white man’s thing”?

Sexuality is not defined by race. A lot of non-whites are LGBT inclined but are afraid to come out in the open about their true selves for fear of societal backlash and reprimandation. So they keep quiet and live in misery.

Don’t you understand? Imagine a homosexual forced to marry and live a heterosexual life. Do you think the spouse of such a person will be happy in that union? And what about the kids??

How hard is it to understand?

I am in need of a living-@ in nanny for my three kids, please does any body know how much they pay living in nanny for three kids. The nanny will work from monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm and two sats in a month. I live in Peterborough, does any one know how much will be will be ok. Will £600 be ok for a month since the nanny is going to live with me? Please I need responses for those that are using nanny
£600 doesn’t cut it dear.

Minimum wage for a 21-24 year old is £7.05 per hour and for someone to look after 3 kids for 12 hours a day, you definitely need someone mature, with a lot of experience handling kids and bucketloads of patience. You also need someone who’s got at the very least some basic first aid / cpr training in case of emergencies and I doubt anyone with these basic qualifications will settle for minimum wage payments.

That aside, you’re asking for 25 days of service (ie 5 days a week and 2 saturdays a month). That equates to £7.05 X 12 = £84.60 per day. Or £84.6 X 25 = £2,115.00 a month.

Your best bet as someone mentioned will be to either work shift patterns with your spouse i.e one of you works day and the other night - but even then that would be a strain on the person who does the long night shift because he or she will need to get some sleep during the day, and that would be difficult with 3 (young?) kids. Bringing in the grandparent(s) might help.

If this isn’t possible, then explore the possibility of working from home and/or part-time. I think some churches run crèches/nurseries. I’ve also heard of parents who come together and share childcare responsibilities on a rotational basis (never tried it myself though).

Otherwise you’ll just have to face up to the frustrating fact that you might have to give up / place your plans of returning to work on hold and concentrate on bringing up your kids till they’re a bit older and are in full time education.

I couldn’t help but comment after reading this.

Seriously I don’t get some Nigerians! Why hustle to a country if you aren’t prepared to integrate?

Take the (my) workplace for example, where tolerance, equal opportunities, and inclusiveness is actively promoted to portray a workplace that is a reflection of the society we live in. You get Pakistans and Jews, Christians and Muslims, LGBT and heterosexuals, Blacks, Whites, Asians, and mixed race, those with disabilities, basically people of all ethnic, religious, and social backgrounds working together in close-knit teams all for the betterment of the company. As long as you’ve got the qualifications, skills and experience to do the job, then who cares?

Times have changed. We’re all in the 21st century and those with prehistoric mindsets need to get a grip and move on.

Is like rats never take your eyes see something. If rats want to deal with you last last na you go beg.

In my case, the floor Foundation of the house i rented before wasn't too strong. Rats had very good underground network in the area. You will wake up one day and see a hole in a corner of your kitchen,... You block it with cement, tomorrow wake up, you will see another hole in another corner of the kitchen again. That was how i blocked about 8 holes.

Ask me what they were looking for? I had cartons of noodles inside room. Rats ate them mercilessly. I bought white see-through bucket with cover lid.. put d remaining noodles inside.... I, me, myself, i don't know how rats managed to chip off a corner of the lid and find their way inside.

Any little space in the closed door, window or ceiling, small rats will be strolling in and out as it if it's their fathers property.

I first tried poison... Didn't work at all

Then i got rat gum.... It was very effective. If it catch a rat, I'll push the rat off the gum surface with a stick , pour small petrol in it and set it ablaze... The put the rat gum in another corner. Next morning, another catch and burn.

Na so i dey catch and burn rats everyday till i packed it of the house.

But i mistakenly stepped into the gum absentmindedly a couple of times sha... Placed it behind door and next thing, i don take leg match am. Having to wash the gum off my legs or shoe na wahala of its own.

That was why i laughed when i saw the bucket trap... Its far more neat, less stressful way to catch rats and no cruel burnings too.
