Allah created us to worship Him and submit totally. Otherwise it is not easy to fast, pray (5 times a day), abstain from drink etc. We also KNOW that polygamy is NOT EASY. But we know that people also embrace polygamy in non-muslim settings

Let us look at what can induce a woman to embrace polygamy
1. She is not able to have children and she does not want to deprive her husband
2. She believes that a young widow is not likely to become the only wife in a new marriage and she consents to her husband taking another wife. And becoming a widow is a random event that can happen to anyone. Note that the widow is already willing.
3. The sister likes a brother but he is married
4. There are a lot of unwilling single brothers or they don't appear responsible enough while the brother she knows to be trustworthy and responsible is married

My message is to encourage all muslims to embrace the teachings of islam wholeheartedly.

Dear Muslims Umahs, I have been pondering over these issue of polygamy and everything that surronds it..
* Allah created more women than men...this is obvious to every mankind.
* Allah encourages muslim men to marry more than one wife if he has the capability.
* No muslim woman of today will willing accept to be a second wife or accept a second wife willingly.
* Allah instruct us to succumb totally to teachings of islam, of which the above is one.

Also, the population of marrigeable women that remain single keeps growing by seconds, how do we solve these riddle?

The above also account for many "due for marriage" but not married ladies.

Cos, by the time the guy realise u r fooling him, he just dump u and move on.

Guys, the lady deserve some commendation and praise.

But not kissing a man is not the reason for her success, surely there are millions of people out there who achieve one feat or the other and still got involved with the opposite sex.

It is hell when you share a room with a lazy bone, it is boring when you do with a bookworm, it is sickening when you share with a religious person and trouble when you do with an agaracha - a runz girl. These married were once single, I think most of the ladies rejected them while single and struggling.

And they now think its pay back time after getting married and a bit finacially ok.

But again, some single guys can be worst playboy, and sleep with anything in skirt, not ready to settle down and just sampling every lady.

Also, housewives are not totally absorbed of any blame, most of them pushed their husband to the street through weird behaviour, unnecessary nagging, dictating when to have sex, some are bad cooks, and quest for women emancipation has led to wives thinking they cannot totally submit to the husband.

Oga husband, two wrongs does not make a right, why accept and talk to your wife if she erred as she is no saint, remember you either have a daughter or will soon have and you will never accept her chase your age mate. It takes two to tango.

Mynd_44: The OP is flawed. You make it sound like the girl is to blame. What of the man here? Did the girl walk up to some alter or stand in front of a judge to say I do? This is the problem with this society, you see the fault but you leave it and start chasing shadows.

Married men should stop cheating either with single girls, married women or men. That should be the message. People should learnt to respect the oath they took and stay faithful instead of us coming here to lay ALL the blame on the single girls dating them.

Why I dey worry sef? When if a lot of women discover that their husband cheats, the will rather attack the woman and leave the man that use their heads to see that the fault starts with the man.
