Education / Kwara State (SUBEB) Level 7, Salary Is More Than (TESCOM) Level 8. by Egalite: 4:48pm On Apr 30, 2021
Kwara State government just completed the recruitment of teachers into primary and secondary schools in the state. But to my surprise, the salary of level 7, NCE holders, who are to teach in primary school, is more the salary of level 8, DEGREE holders, who are to teach in the secondary school. Does this also apply in your state?

LEVEL 7 SALARY PER ANNUM: #389,134.44
PER MONTH: #32,428

LEVEL 8 SALARY and PER ANNUM: 357,060.00.
PER MONTH: #29,750

Nairaland / General / Re: What Have You Survived This Year? Inspire Others by Egalite: 4:15pm On Dec 09, 2020
I have survived a lot through the Grace of God.
I've survived loneliness, depression, penury, idleness..
I was previously working in a private school at the beginning of this year, but the work is like a slavery work. A teacher that taught me in 2006 is in the same school, but this teacher still remain the same... No motorcycle, no car, and living in a rented apartment. The owner of the school is doing well, but the teachers are hopeless and full of uncertainty. Hmm, I pray to God to open a way for me this year, that I don't want this type of useless work..
With faith, I quit the job, because it does not give me joy. I apply for teaching recruitment in my state, I passed through the exam and interview, and to the Glory of God, I was successful and selected . Since the beginning of this year, I have been idle and depressed, but I thank God that this year finally end well for me.

HitlerGaddafi:

Honestly we blacks cry alot. The referee simply asked his assistant who should be carded and the assistant responded with "tipu negru" which from his language to English means " the black guy"

That was enough to start crying racism. We blacks are our own problem to be honest. Whats the racism in calling a black person black as an adjective? Same as saying "that tall guy" or that white guy. The ref didn't know the name of the assistant coach and " that black guy" was the best he could use to describe him.

No bro, I disagree with your last sentence.. "The ref didn't know the name of the assistant coach and " that black guy" was the best he could use to describe him."..
Before the match start, the coaches, players and staff meet together with refreee. At least the that 4th official should have asked one of the players the name of there assistant coach instead of addressing him informalling as "that black guy" Or better still describe him as the assistant coach.

Assuming you went for a meeting, then someone describe you in the meeting as "that black guy".. How will you feel? Choice of words are very important. In my own point of view, he should have describe him with another appellation that is more formal

Gbest90:
See, as a proud black man, I totally stand against racism.

But to be honest, most blacks are beginning to take it WAY TOO FAR.

Racism is when a person is abused, maltreated or insulted, due to the colour of their skin. Like the monkey chants, a banana being thrown at Alves, kneeling on the neck of Floyd by a white police e.t.c These are examples of Racism.

But the fourth official did none of those. And the players had to walk off, cos someone was called a black guy? SMH.

Isn't it normal for a black guy to refer to a group of white friends as 'my White folks'?So what's wrong in calling a black guy, a black guy.

We should be proud of our skin colour.

We should proud to be called blacks.

But we stand against any form of maltreatment, abuse or injustice against us because we are black.

#NOT ASHAMED TO BE A BLACK

If you watch the full video, you will get more insight about this issue. The assistant coach, Webo say that the 4th official refer a white guy as simply "that guy" but he refer to him as"that negro/black". Literally, that kind of description is offensive.Color is color, no color is inferior or superior. The 4th official doesn't really have to describe someone by color. At least he should have called him simply by his name

Crime / Meet Onitsha DPO That Thugs Refused To Attack His Station by Egalite: 2:41pm On Oct 27, 2020
CSP RABIU GARBA: The People's Police Officer*
Yesterday, October 23, 2020 hoodlums and thugs invaded various police stations in Onitsha, Anambra State and burnt the stations down but on getting to Fegge Police station in Onitsha, all the police officers took to their heels but the Divisional Police Officer...

Rabiu Garba is the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) at Fegge Onitsha, Anambra State. He built a borehole for the neighbourhood without any fund raising.

He organizes soccer tournaments for the youths of Fegge at their stadium where he also goes to play table tennis weekly.

For Rabiu Garba, Fegge is his home. Fegge is his community.

He has attended almost every church and every event in the area as he is invited because he is accepted as one of them.

When the rampaging youths came to burn his Police Division yesterday, he neither fought nor fled.

While his men were panicked, he walked out to meet the mob with the courage of a man who had nothing to fear.

They recognized him and the angry chants were silenced! Most of the youths could vouch for him as a professional cop and a role model for many young men in the community.

They even granted him audience to address and counsel them before the mob dispersed.

It had nothing to do with his tribe.
It had nothing to do with his religion.
He was just a model cop.
Thank you DPO Rabiu Garba.

It's unfortunate that the negligence of government have created many beast in the country.
