If you want to go that route then you will ask people to stop buying used cars, used electronics etc.
Even our federal government and their agencies are notorious for buying used items and passing them off to us as new.
They should kindly take care of their thieves there and don't use the issue to rub on us.
Afterall when we are accusing and abusing our own thieves here we do not point accusing fingers at the west for encouraging them.
Infact, if I see a used iphone with "stolen from US" written all over it, I will buy shaperly as long as I can make use of it.
Why? Coz I knw the trader at computer village did not steal it personally neither was he aware it was stolen.
I buy from amazon and ebay all the time. I have never came across an ad that states- THIS ITEM IS STOLEN.

I have been to a place with regular electric power supply in Nigeria, but the place is like Ajegunle in Lagos.
The community has an ultra modern library, but the people hardly go there.
They have enough jobs, but they are still intellectually retarded and depending more on their salaries instead of being creative and productive.
Even if you give morons regular electricity, that cannot transform them in super humans until they have the brains on how to use that regular power supply for development of modern technology and intellectual society.
Creativity in Arts and Sciences is the only way to develop into super power and not when the greatest ambition of majority of Nigerians is to earn a seven digit salary that does not make anyone a great achiever.
Super powers are made by the creativity and productivity of authors, innovators and inventors and not by salary earners.
Nigeria must invest in startups in the creative and manufacturing industries.

I like the way you analyzed yourself, honestly! You know what you want, you go for it, You pay for your stuff and that's very Good! Any guy coming your way should at least notice how you expend your self to take care of yourself and should naturally not expect less from you simply because you are dating him! I know you will also appreciate it if he chips in on the expense once in a while, (dont lie ) cos even though you might not need it , it still goes a long way to show that he cares about you and about you maintaining your looks! You'll also agree with me that there are wanna be high maintenance girls! These are the kinds that want all of the above, but the only difference is that they expect the funding to come from external sources! This puts majority of Guys off! I dont think high maintenance ladies are bad! They know what they want! Is that a crime? Hell raised to the power of NO! If i know that from my salary, i cant contribute to making my Gf(high maintenance or not) look good, then what's the point? If i make less than the cost of a brazilian weave( ) why o why should i go after a lady i know uses brazilian weave on herself? Is that dumb, or plain stupidity on my part? What annoys me is the way some of my brothers mouth off about demands from chics! Ladies, be yourself! Maintain yourself the way you deem fit, and try as much as possible to cater for yourself atleast! No matter the class of maintenance you find yourself, be it high, low, medium , short term, Whatever, the point is looking good! Any guy that approaches you, irrespective of your class, should be able to compartmentalize which category you fall into! When you make him understand you cater for your self, he appreciates you the more and would be more than willing to assist in your expenses, without complains! Trust me!
Guys, be yourself! No good comes from being ostentatious! If you notice the chic is high maintenance above your level, pls waka fast! No good running after someone and then when time comes for you to chip in, you tell pitiable stories! Shoe get size! If she's not your size, bounce! And there are low maintenance ladies too! Those that dont bother about brazilian hair, but are content with the normal Amigo attachments! Yes! na me talk it! There are pepper sellers, groundnut sellers, shop attendants, store keepers, they need some good loving too!
