Hmmmm. A part of me thinks the OP doesn't really mean this. However, if it is true, then I'll join the person above to say "this one is strong" |
A good report in that the focus is on calling attention of governments to impacts of their policies on the citizenry. However, it is flawed in that it largely assumes that material possession is the sole determinant of happiness. It is my humble opinion that genuine familial relationship s such as seen in most rural set-up is the basis of happiness. Unfortunately, such cannot be generalised on national basis. |
Where were these people when the National Conference was ongoing? Is that they just found their voice now that a Muslim Northerner won the presidential election? They could have done better channelling their energy into motivating GEJ to do BETTER while he had the opportunity. And/or mobilise more people in the concerned geographical area to exercise their franchise. Those would have been more acceptable than this crying more than the bereaved. |
OK. However, man shall not t live by green tea, egg & water alone. |
Punch Mobile23rd April, 2015 The implementation of two per cent levy on mobile phones, computers, photocopying machines, scanners and similar products will begin soon, Director General of the National Copyright Commission, Mr. Afam Ezekude, has said. Ezekude said this at a press briefing to mark the 2015 World Book and Copyright Day in Abuja on Thursday. He said the order for the levy had been put into gazette, adding that the only thing that remained was a nod for implementation from the Minister of Finance. The levy order is applicable to all imported or locally produced materials used or capable of being used to infringe copyright in a work both imported and manufactured in the country and it is designed to compensate the right owners for the envisaged infringement. The NCC boss said, “The copyright levy on particular materials order has not been abandoned. It places a levy on any material either manufactured locally or coming into the country from outside. “It imposes a minimum levy on those materials as a way of compensating copyright owners because a lot of these materials such as photocopying machines, phones and DVDs that can be used for infringing people’s copyright. We are imposing a levy on them. “As we speak, the order is currently awaiting implementation. We are waiting for the nod from the Minister of Finance to actually start implementation but we are almost there. It is important that the order is implemented so that our right owners will get what is actually theirs.” He added, “It is not a tax; it is a levy. Before the levy order was put into a gazette, we actually did relevant consultations with industry people that will be affected by the levy order – the Importers Association of Nigeria; the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria. The consultation was very successful. “We had opportunity to explain what we are trying to do and they were happy to key into it and that is why we got to the point of putting it into gazette and to the point of implementation. “We could not have done this if the importers and the manufacturers had kicked against it because it would impact on them. They understand how important it is for the right owners to be compensated. “It is a levy. It is completely different from taxes" he said. |
A good piece. As someone said, "how do you claim that an economy run on generator is the largest in Africa?". We just don't need "growth" seen only on paper, but that which is visible in the number of infrastructure put in place. |
Nice move. Even expected. Nothing wrong with the leader of the legislature visiting the head of the incoming administration irrespective of their political leaning. |
omejeo. What is i/o vaccine in first place? i/o simply means intra-occular i.e a vaccine you apply through the eye. That means there is no vaccine by the name you just gave. Having said that, I'll assume you are talking about a vaccine for some strains of ND. If I'm correct, I'll advise that you keep your money. Giving LIFE vaccines,(apart from Mareks) to DOCs are more often counter-productive as they negatively impact on the natural immunity obtained from the mother-hen. My 10 kobo. |
kevin96. mercylicious. What I heard was that Agrited Broiler DOC grow very fast. However, I've never heard any testimony as to how well the Pullet DOC perform. Meanwhile, why not check the company's website for possible contacts? In the interim, I got this number; 08035268581 (Kayode). He is an agent. |

Who will work THE GREAT PLAN if not A GREAT MAN? |
segun1976. Great one you have here. In addition to what jamp has said, you may also include "Stresoak"; it is an herbal mixture excellent for reducing stress. And of course, ensure their "table" is set before their arrival. hayor2014. Any good multivitamin will do. the issue with recommending some specific names is that they may not be readily available in your area of the country. Meanwhile, you may wish to consider any of the following; Vitalyte, Aminovet or Amin'total. Success |

The United Bank for Africa Co-operative Multipurpose Society Limited has commenced a contempt proceeding against the Registered Trustees of the Redeemed Christian Church of God for allegedly disobeying an order of the court. The cooperative society, on Tuesday, served the RCCG trustees with Form 48. Form 48 is served on any party, who fails to obey an order given by a court of law. If found guilty of treating the court with contempt, such an individual or group is liable to being committed to jail. Listed as the alleged contemnors, who risk being jailed, are Pastor Peter Adeyemi, Pastor Akanni Babawande, Chief Babatunde Ojelade and others. The UBA cooperative society had sued the Registered Trustees of RCCG, alleging unlawful invasion of its land with Survey Plan No. OG/854/2013/60. The land, measuring about 30 acres, is located at Ewu Odofin Village in the Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State. The UBA cooperative society had, on April 1, 2015, secured an order of interim injuction from an Ogun State High Court in Sagamu, stopping every form of construction on the said land under dispute. The presiding judge, Justice E.O. Osinuga, had restrained the RCCG trustees from further going ahead with their ongoing project on the land till the issues in the lawsuit, marked HCS/01/2015, would be resolved. Lawyer for the cooperative society, Mr. Yemi Omodele, however, claimed that in defiance to the order of the court, the defendants had continued to build on the land. In its statement, the cooperative society claimed to have purchased the said land from the Olowoto-Olisa chieftaincy family of Ewu-Odofin Village, pursuant to a deed of assignment dated December 12, 2014. It, however, alleged that agents of the defendant, sometime last year, unlawfully invaded the site and demolished, among other things, the perimeter fence, security house, 10 buildings under construction, three boreholes, and water tanks, all estimated at N30.6m, belonging to members of the cooperative society. In its papers before the court, the claimant said it was not aware of any existing dispute over the land before purchasing it last year, adding that a preliminary check it conducted at the Ogun State Lands Registry in Abeokuta, before making payment, showed that the land belonged to the Olowoto-Olisa chieftaincy family. The claimant’s lawyer, Omodele, is contending that the alleged demolition of his clients’ property was unlawful and done in bad faith and asked the court to declare same as illegal and unconstitutional. He had sought a declaration of the court that his client was the legitimate owner of the land. The claimant further sought an order of the court compelling the defendant to restore the demolished property and pay damages in the sum of N150m. While making the interlocutory injunction, restraining RCCG from going ahead with any construction work on the land, the judge, Osinuga, noted that though the church was served with all the court papers, it however failed to respond or enter any appearance in court. But the court said it would not go into the merit of the case. |
The federal government has disclosed that there was escalation of avian influenza, commonly referred to as bird-flu (H5N1 virus) in three states of the federation, including Kano, Plateau and Bauchi. The government also stated that it had successfully stabilised the outbreak of the virus in the southern part of the country, noting that the situation was not beyond control. Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) Architect Sunny Echono gave this hint in Abuja while announcing deployment of equipment’s to118 Agricultural Equipment Hiring Enterprises (AEHE) across the nation. Echono who did not give details of the escalation, promised that government was doing everything to curb further transmission of the virus. “We are on top of the situation, I can confirm to you, indeed, in the south, we have stabilized the situation; there are very few, if any new cases are coming-up. But we are not entirely out of the hook, we have some spite in three states, like Kano in particular, that is the eye of the needle for us, we have an unfortunate situation where we have some degree of escalation, but from our projections, it should have actually dipped or dropped. Then we have also in Plateau and Bauchi,” he said. According to Echono, government had mobilised technical support to the three states where containment and decontamination exercises are currently ongoing. “But we have deployed men and materials and resources to these areas, we have also mobilised support, technical expertise from our partners and we are on top of the situation in those 3 states. We have teams out there now doing containment, quarantine and decontamination and also dis-infecting premises and they are ensuring that cases of transmission are curbed completely,” he added. THISDAY had gathered in the last few weeks that five additional states of Kaduna, Bauchi, Katsina, Sokoto and Zamfara states joined the list of affected states, and other state might have been affected without confirmation. It was also gathered that some farmers secretly slaughter their birds for fear that they them test positive to the virus. According to THISDY source, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina had directed that all new discoveries of bird-flu be channeled to a Central Information Unit (CIU) from which only the minister could authorise release of such information. “The minister has directed that information about new discovery and related matters be channeled to a Central Information Unit; nobody except the minister is permitted to speak on the issue. However, I can confirm to you that in the last one week, Kaduna, Bauchi, Katsina, Sokoto and Zamfara have been affected.” It is also expected that more states would be affected overtime. “The spread was possible due to movement of people and birds. I can also tell you that some poultry owners secretly slaughter their birds for the fear of been tested of bird-flu, but now that government has made provision to compensate affected poultry owners, they are now willing to subject their birds to tests, and that is how these news cases were discovered.” Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina had in January announced outbreak of the virus. He disclosed that five states of Ogun, Delta, Rivers, Edo and Plateau states had far recorded cases of bird flu in addition to Kano and Lagos states, where the virus were first reported. |
Gurus in the house, kindly give your opinions on which of the 3 phone manufacturers you consider the best. Reasons for your opinions will be highly appreciated, please. |
nvgyh. Don't panic. Keep a cool head. You'll surely come out of this better experienced. How did you administer the lasota the first/last time? Was there spillage? If yes, what did you about the spillage? |
I doubt the veracity of this report. As romantic as it may sound, it'll be a surprise if she wins the election. A female Muslim candidate in a Christian dominated state make for a very unlikely electoral victory. However, having previously won a Senatorial election, she may just be able to take a bigger step. |
nvgyh. It is obvious your birds have NCD. Do administer some antibiotics/vitamins for the required number of days. Leave a few days after the treatment, then re-administer the Lasota. I'll advise you get the vaccine from a source different from where you got the last one. Give vitamins for a few days more after the Lasota. Success |
