Nice Job OP. |
simba1. What is your point? I asked cos you haven't made any. Thanks as you expatiate. |
eggxel. Welcome on board. We wish you success in your proposed project. And we hope to also learn from you as we share ideas & knowledge. |
After seeing a few of your intelligent contributions to some discussions/threads, I decided to check your profile as a prelude to possibly following you. I was then privileged to notice the play on the word excellent & of course, the similarity to my moniker. Meanwhile, thanks for attempting to make me smile. It is our unfortunate reality in this society that literary works are seldom promoted. However, I'm sure with your level of talent & the efforts being put in, the dream to be published is near fulfilment. Nmeri17. You are right. |
jaybee3. Nadal is a leftie. Shadow indicates player is rightie. |
Thought I would still be on it by the weekend. However, the more I got into it, the more I was hooked in. You held me spellbound. And I guess that is the most compliment you can give a creative writer. Enoquin. Thanks for sharing your works with me. Hope to be part of subsequent "releases". Have you any published work? |
A Blip Of Imperfection. Hmmm. Tragic. However, I love it cos it tells story of someone who chose against threading a worn path. It is always inspiring when you see someone go against the tide. Nmeri17. How would you expect such a near-perfect blend of brain, beauty & boldness not to be "taken"? Only a fool will not desire her & I know most men ain't fools. |
Enoquin. Just finished with A Woman Destroyed. You are the bomb. |
Enoquin. Done with the first page. All the stories are beautiful; The Travails of Mfon & A Strange Funeral being my favourites therein. Thanks for been such a beautiful writer. Now to the second page. |
Enoquin. I just read "My Love" and I can say I'm hooked by your works. I'll sure go through everything on this thread between now & weekend starting tonight. Thanks for sharing this lovely piece with me. |
For convenience sake |
laposta. Your submission is beautiful and quite helpful. I've gleaned from it what I consider a very important point. I'll revert when I'm done with my planned experiment. Thanks once again. |
jamp. According to the growth schedule by the company which came up with ISA Brown, 7 weeks pullets should weigh between 0.56 and 0.59kg i.e if you target having first egg by 18 weeks. However, since your target is having the first egg by the 24th week, I think you are still on track. |
jamp. OK. Thanks for your response. I was just thinking about it earlier today & concluded that it might be an idea worth trying since Starter Mash contains higher M.E & C.P than the Growers Mash. Consequently, birds feeding on the former should gain more weight than those being fed Growers. The only question I haven't answered is the possible impact of the feeds on the birds' digestive system. |
jamp. You once thought of giving some stunted 14 weeks old pullet starter mash. Did you eventually go ahead with it? If yes, for how long & what was the result? |
fogechi. Pullet, Broiler or Cockerel? Obasanjo DOC; Agrited; CHI; ZARTECH, Farm Support? In other words; make your question less ambiguous. |
OP. Thanks. Beautiful piece. I especially love the aspect that says whatever you do separately will separate you. |
It is now a fad for media houses in the country to daily regale the citizens with some scoop about one infighting or the other within the ranks of the APC; political party of the incoming government. While I take most of the reports with a pinch of salt, I'll like to remind the media that politicking differs from governance. 95% of Nigerians don't care about the former. They are only interested in good governance. Therefore, the media should stop feeding us with happenings within the APC, but focus on setting the agenda for the incoming administration by reminding the gladiators of their promises and helping same to learn lessons from pitfalls encountered by previous/incumbent administration. |
jamp. The weights of your birds is testimony that your staff have done a great job during your absence. Welcome Bro. endy247. Are your birds on deep litter? If yes, kindly take note of what davidzfarm18 suggested in addition to that of FarmTech. You may also wish to spray ashes in sufficient quantity on the litter. Success. |
The greatest good GOD has done Nigeria is that we ain't having another 4 years of Iweala-nomics. Nigeria would have sunk without reprieve. |
The Haugh unit is a measure of egg protein quality based on the height of its egg white (albumen).[1][2] The test was introduced by Raymond Haugh in 1937 [2] and is an important industry measure of egg quality next to other measures such as shell thickness and strength.[1] An egg is weighed, then broken onto a flat surface (breakout method), and a micrometer used to determine the height of the thick albumen (egg white) that immediately surrounds the yolk. The height, correlated with the weight, determines the Haugh unit, or HU, rating. The higher the number, the better the quality of the egg (fresher, higher quality eggs have thicker whites). Although the measurement determines the protein content and freshness of the egg, it does not measure other important nutrient contents such as the micronutrient or vitamins present in the egg. Formula The formula for calculating the Haugh unit is:[1] HU = 100 * log(h-1.7w^{0.37} + 7.6) Where: HU = Haugh unit h = observed height of the albumen in millimeters w = weight of egg in grams |
TheShootist. There are some peculiar challenges with Deep Litter system. The major among these is infestation with lice. Also, increased manpower required to get a good result. Lastly, birds on Deep Lifter are required to eat more (about 10g/day/bird) than those in cages to attain equal level of production. Consequently, whatever savings you make on cages are lost on feeds in the long-term. |
obnelly. I guess the small sized eggs & low consumption rate are a result of the hot weather. Maybe, you should look at countering effects of the heat stress. |
Great news. We await official confirmation. |
Definitely not the most beautiful I have seen. She is stunning, though. |
Lack of foresight & appropriate mentors are contributory factors. I've seen many girls who had dreams of great professional accomplishments but got sidetracked cos there was no one to keep them on track |
That is a great one. We await official confirmation. |
A great piece. I especially love Points 6 & 11. 6. A wise wife makes the man feel so good that he assumes that he is the head. Once he gets that feeling, the woman gently wields her power and the head actually turns to wherever the neck wants without a protest. 11. If you assume that as the woman, only you need to be pampered and fussed over while the man is a stone that has no emotions, you need to be pitied. |
segun1976. Any digital weighing scale will do. Success. |
Annabechick. Your pen won't do for the number you are looking at. You need to increase the width to at least 26 feet. segun1976. 85g/day for 18 weeks old pullets in cages is OK (according to ISA Brown Management Guide). However, I'll suggest you pick several of them at random (especially, the smaller ones), weigh them to see if they are up to 1.5kg. If yes, stick with the 85g/bird/day for the week; if no, increase it to the 95g suggested. Success. |
Hope Sen Iyiola Omisore has seen this. |
Hmmm. Back in the days we used to mix Coke with Vimto. |
