Social media is free for everyone to use. The FG should empower officials of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) to actively use the social media in propagating ideals of national unity instead of mourning its own failure to do the needful. Meanwhile, what did GEJ do when his kinsmen such as Edwin Clark & Asari Dokubo were make inflammatory statements capable of causing disaffection in the body polity? |
Why can't the APC also go on the offensive instead of crying wolf all the time? |
This piece is just a narrative capturing the writer's personal opinions. However, I daresay that the postponement was designed to favour the incumbent judging by the significant deflation of groundswell of support for the opposition GMB. Notwithstanding, I still see APC slightly edging the election. |
If FFK wants APC to agree that he reserves the right to change his stance on some statements he made in the public domain, does that also mean Nigerians should agree that Buhari shouldn't be held accountable for his past utterances on Boko Haram & Sharia? THE GOOD THING WITH EMERGENCE OF A STRONG OPPOSITION IS THAT POLITICIANS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE DIVIDE ARE NOW BECOMING MORE CONSCIOUS OF THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES AS PUBLIC FIGURES. |
fishleg. First, congratulations on getting to this point successfully. In addition to what kelvin96 and/or kelvin961 said earlier, layers mash contain higher calcium content which is needed for formation of egg shell. Continuing with growers mash beyond a certain point means your birds may develop ricket as they draw calcium from their bones to make egg shell. Meanwhile, opinions differ on when to switch to layers mash. I'm of the school of thought that the best time to switch is when the birds are between 30 - 40% daily laying capacity. However, the consensus is that the change must be gradual. Success. |
EURASIA REVERSES EARLIER PREDICTION, SAYS: buhari ‘ll win 2015 Presidential Election. World largest political risk consultancy, Eurasia Group, has released its forecast for the 2015 presidential election due in two weeks, predicting victory for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari. Eurasia Group said a Buhari win would be made possible by the intensity of supports for his candidature, lacklustre grassroots campaigning by the PDP and the anti- rigging measures put in place by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). It said the APC candidate would record a 60% victory against his main rival, President Goodluck Jonathan, who is seeking re-election. In an earlier forecast for the presidential election in August last year, Eurasia Group had predicted a victory for Jonathan, with a 75% per cent margin against Buhari. But in the new estimate yesterday, the political risk advisory said the indicators for the president’s electoral success had switched in favour of the APC flag bearer. “We change our election forecast from a narrow win for incumbent Goodluck Jonathan to a victory for opposition leader Muhamadu Buhari (60% probability),” Eurasia Group stated in the forecast. “The electoral map is tilting towards Buhari in the swing regions of the southwest and middle belt, while high turnout in his core northern base will offset Jonathan’s advantage in the Niger Delta,” it added. It equally predicted that under Buhari, “reliance on technocratic, business- oriented senior officials will lead to constructive policy initiatives.” Other factors that would seal the defeat of Jonathan, it said, were the new permanent voting cards and card readers that would “sharply reduce the level of rigging seen in 2011, when Jonathan beat Buhari in a landslide.” Another factor was the “enthusiasm gap between the candidates and widespread desire for change” in the country, according to the group. “While we expected the electoral map to favor Jonathan, current trends suggest that the swing regions may side with Buhari, including the Christian-majority and heavily populated South-West around Lagos. That could be the decisive demographic factor in the election. “Jonathan won the South-West and middle belt handily in 2011, but faces an uphill task now. Buhari has reached out to the southwestern Yoruba community and brought them into the upper ranks of his campaign and potential administration, in a political alliance of the country’s two largest ethnic groups (the Hausa and Yoruba). In contrast, Jonathan has struggled to make inroads with either group.” The group said the APC had suffered fewer defections compared to the PDP, despite inducements from the ruling party, adding that its ability to weather the storm showed it was “a relatively united coalition whose members have confidence in the prospects of victory.” Read full story at http:// dailytrust.com.ng/sunday/index.php/ international/19903-buhari-will- win-28-march-presidential-election- with-a-wide-margin-eurasia-group |
bigiyaro. Stop administering the antibiotics latest Monday. Success. |
bigiyaro. As I noted earlier, you shouldn't limit yourself to the antibiotics I mentioned cos, as also noted, what's available in some part of the country may not be so in other parts. Meanwhile, you would be the second person to say Zartech refused giving the brooding/vaccination schedule. Why is the company like that? |
In the midst of so much campaigns & the accomplish noise, I wish to remind Nigerians of what I consider the important questions; 1. do you & your loved ones feel safer to pursue your dreams now than before GEJ? & 2. do you & your loved ones have access to better opportunities to grow your finances now than before GEJ? If you can objectively answer YES, then vote for CONTINUITY. However, if otherwise, vote CHANGE. Meanwhile, such a beautiful piece cos while much has been made of GMB being a dictator who truncated democratic rules, virtually nothing has been said about if such action was justified. This piece has done just that. |
These type of information ain't always reduced to such easily comprehensible document. Anyway, I guess people always believe what they wish were true, even when such (such as this is) defies basic logic. |
Good piece. Is the fruit available in Nigeria? If yes, what are its local names? Thanks. |
Do whatever will give you peace of mind in the long-term. One thing about us human is that we can't see beyond our noses & so almost always make decisions without adequate foresight. |
bigiyaro. It is not too late. I'll advice you start giving them NOW. Meanwhile, I can't tell you which vitamins/antibiotics to use as what is readily available where I'm may not be so easily accessible where you are. Besides, the history of the hatchery the birds are from also influence what you start them on. However, as a pointer, you may consider the following; vitalyte and/or aminovet (vitamins); flonicol, anicillin and/or anitylodox (antibiotics). Success. |
bigiyaro. You're supposed to start them up on vitamin (to combat the stress of transporting them from wherever to your place) and antibiotics to prepare them for their first vaccine which should come middle of their second week. I suspect their relative inactivity is a result of the stress you haven't combated with the vitamin. Success. |
The lady is making progress. Wish we can have more of her kind in the nation's sporting arena. Meanwhile, GEJ/GMB supporters, what do your principals have for sports development in the country? You can't talk about youth without talking about sports. |
my opinion is that you must love a girl before contemplating marrying her. Marriage isn't just a spiritual affair. You need more it being "God's will" for you to make a success of it. |
Somehow demeaning that a country as endowed as Nigeria has to rely on a South African firm to prosecute the war against terror. However, I guess anything needed to overcome the insurgents should be done in the interest of the innocents under siege. |
A Red Devil follower allegedly ends his life in Kilifi after witnessing favorite team bundled out of English FA Cup by their fierce rivals at Old Trafford An alleged Manchester United fan committed suicide in Kilifi County in Kenya on Tuesday in the wake of Red Devil’s 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in FA quarter-final clash at Old Trafford. The 42 year-old (name withheld) jumped from Kilifi Bridge into Indian Ocean and drowned hours after the ‘devils’ crashed out of the oldest competition in England. Reports from friends say the deceased was heard bragging before d-day on how Louis Van Gaal’s charges will humiliate the Gunners, but as fate will have it, goals from defender Nacho Monreal and Danny Welbeck in either side of Wayne Rooney’s strike, sent the defending champions to Wembley. In February, a middle-aged man in Uganda took a decision to terminate his life after losing Sh16, 500 ($180) in a Uefa Champions League bet. Deus Ruhinda was a resident of Kakiika in Mbarara district, in Western Uganda, but was working in Kasese district in the same region. The deceased staked Sh16, 500 on a win for London club Arsenal, which lost at home to French side As Monaco in a Uefa Champions League duel. Last September, a Ugandan footballer Fahad Musana breathed his last in a Bombo Town makeshift video hall after Manchester City forced a late draw against Chelsea in English Premier League. http://www.goal.com/en-india/news/137/england/2015/03/11/9724812/man-commits-suicide-in-kenya-after-manchester-utd-loss?ICID=HP_TS_2 |
omejeo. Why are you insistent on using "any drug". justified19 has given you the natural, cost-free way to reducing, if not eliminate, the occurrence, yet you were still asking for "any drug". judithume. I assume you raised the batch you are planning to cull yourself. In that case; follow the same vaccination schedule. However, just foe saying sake, I want to believe that CHI give their DOCs i/o at the hatchery, therefore, you may wish to repeat the gumboro vaccine this weekend and then administer Lasota after a week. Success. |
tunezvic. I know the Agric Dept at Federal University of Tech, Akure (FUTA) renders the servic you seek for. However, I want to believe that you can have similar thing done in Kwara state. There are several institutes dedicated to agric practices there. Success. |
tunezvic. My opinion is that the 3 bags you are giving presently may not be the problem (though, feeding ad lib at this age is most advisable), rather you pay attention to the quality of the feeds. My simple advice will be that you go with a very good finished feeds for now, since you are unable to answer the VERY CRITICAL questions asked by Kevin96 above. You may return to your own feeds after they are 6 weeks. davidzfarm18. jamp has really expressed my mind. While I am not doubting the competence of your vet, I'll like you to REMEMBER that THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE differs from PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE. I s your vet a practising farmer? And as stated by jamp, our circumstances here are different to what obtains in America and Europe where most of these standards being touted by vets were arrived at. My conclusion is that you should go with what your vet has said, determine if it is of any worthwhile benefits and apply any lessons learnt going forward. judithume. Mint leaf is called "nchawu" in Ibo and "efirin nla" in Yoruba. It is the bigger variant of the scent leaf. Meanwhile, I'll still say what I consider to be the best course is that you cull (sell ) them off ASAP. |
PDP has just provided the APC with another ammunition to aim at it. Our democracy still has some way to gay before sanity is attained. Otherwise, someone like Obanikoro with such weighty allegation against him shouldn't even be nominated not to talk of being approved by The Senate |
davidzfarm18. From following this thread, I know you ain't a novice in poultry management. Therefore, first thing I'll say is what has been your results with the birds you raised previously? Was the the switch to Growers mash done based on weight attained or the age? Personally for me, I switch to growers mash at 8 weeks irrespective of the weight. As for the fowl pox, I don't know anything about the weight-dependent application of the vaccine. I always vaccinate them for fowl pox at 10/11 weeks, though. Success |
AkayTopsy. I THINK what you just witnessed is a result of erratic ovulation usually caused by inconsistent lightening system. You may wish to take a look at how you supply them artificial light. Success. |
judithume. At 10 months of laying, I guess your birds are being affected by natural ageing process resulting to decreased productivity. My opinion will be that you sell them off ASAP. However, you may wish to do the following as alternatives; inject them with Komorov and/or add dried mint leaf to their feeds in the ratio 20kg to 1 ton. Success. |
Cleverly. I guess you are an APC supporter. For the avoidance of doubt, I ain't for the PDP or the APC. Rather, I stand for what I believe is for the good of Nigeria. As to your assertion about GEJ being the precursor of ethnic politics in Nigeria; I disagree with you in part. There is no doubt his administration has witnessed increase in tribal politics like never before. However, there has been cases of tribal politics before now. |
OP. I understand your frustration. It is a pastime of religious people who erroneously think they are being spiritual by sending what is not biblical. |
Will you be committing any specific "sin" if you do? Will you be required to denounce your faith as part of the loan requirements? Is "for the glory of satan" written on the money being issued as loans by the bank? What is really your point? |
Why are people promoting ethnic sentiments? Tribe and religion ain't the same as competence and character. The latter are what we need in a leader. Only those who lack these promote the former to cover up their deficiencies. |
aAK1. Good |
fishleg123. I'll suggest 120g/bird. You may mix the feeds with some calcium to meet up the requirements pending the time you switch to layers. Success |
