Education › Re: Can A B.sc.ed Chemistry 1st Class Graduate Master In Chemical Engr Field? by Ehimenboy(m): 7:50am On Dec 26, 2014 |
Chemical2: It depends. Is he planning to further his studies in Nigeria or overseas? I'd say he can get admission in Industrial chemistry(M.Sc) in Nigeria but will need to get a post graduate diploma if he is switching to any engineering discipline. In the US he can go straight into Chemical engineering(MS). Are you a Chemical Engineer? |

pls can you help me those threads that will help me......
Thanks www.nairaland.com/1826946/updated-university-ibadan-unibadan-2014/39 The school's official pages are pgschool.ui.edu.ng; admissions.pgschool.ui.edu.ng The prospectus is on the website, you could download it to get first hand information. I'll advise you check the school's website before going through the thread. By the way, I think a fresh admission process is on. Simply make quick, definite and WELL-INFORMED moves (especially if you have a ready financial footing) so you don't lose time and/or make mistakes. P. S.: There are two MPH degrees. The one I specified earlier was what I garnered as being feasible. Don't get confused, later. |

Interesting topic! Mathematics, Analytical and Quantitative Reasoning tests, such as in/through games e.g. chess, are very vital factors that help build intelligence. The environment in which the brain is trained is an important determiner, if not the more important. |

frank043: Bros,I strongly do not agree with the fact you stated(Item No. 5),as regards the halls of residence in UI not being identical! Nnamdi Azikiwe hall and Independence hall are 1000% identical!!! The only differences are their location and the soil supporting them. Location wise, its just a perimeter fence that separates them. Chairman, pls make corrections as regards this pointer. I'm a graduate of UI and a cold-blooded Zikites. Zikites and Katangites have so MANY things in common. Olutokun1: No 5 is incorrect sir. Independence (Katanga Republic) and Zik (Baluba Republic) halls have very identical designs. So identical that if you were blindfolded and placed on the corridor of any of the blocks in any of the halls, you would not immediately figure out which hall you're in. Nice write up, but you need to get your facts right. When he said they were unidentical, I don't think he meant ALL are unidentical. Mellanby Hall does not look like Zik Hall but looks like Tedder. I decipher that he meant that the halls built by different companies look unidentical while those by the same look similar. He GROUPED them into CLASSES. Not all are identical. |

eformsky: UI has lost its glory due to the influence of tribalism n nepotism, people outside yoruba ethnic group are not treated fairly again as lecturers and student, no competition na dem dem, dey speak their language, you speak english too much dey look you strange. Na before UI be UI not now!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I laugh in Swahili. You're saying arant crap! When it comes to tribalism, UI is one of the fairest! And then you say we speak Yoruba too much. Aish. You know so little. UI is filled with a blend of Southern Lecturers with preference and honour based on competence and not geopolitical zone. How do you expect to be 'looked at' because you speak in English 'too much'? How unreasonable in a sane environment! That shows the kind of educational background and environment you have. Ask students, our College of Medicine is filled with non-yorubas all over. You sounded hurt, by the way. Learn to make informed statements. |

Esyluv1: GOOD morning Sir Xfire and other Resource Persons in the room
please i need your advise. i Studied Home Economics but my dream course was Biochemistry and Microbiology because am in love with production and health related fields.
actually i dont realy know where and how to trace my footsteps back to my dream bcox of choked up right now.
please is there anyway i can get myself back to production industries or health sectors without starting from 100level?
Please i need your urgent reply bcox i want to start up something by next year Production,...health. Working in production industries needs some amount of training in the physical sciences which I don't think your course offers. Students from Education, the Social Sciences can be admitted into Master in Public Health (Population and Reproductive Health) under the department of Health Promotion and Education in UI which grants you a place in the health sector. For BCH and MCB, I doubt if there's any possibility through D.E. MPH is open. Remember, your O' level courses are still very significant: minimum of 5 credits including English and Maths; degree on a minimum of Second Class Lower. If you'll be opting for MPH, make further research on the admission process; make them as fast as possible so you get adequate required information and timing. There are helpful threads on Nairaland. God's blessings. |

Zinton: Yes you can. By doing the PGD you have effectively made a switch. On the PGD. In engineering, there is a provision for PGD in some of its fields for science graduates. Does this degree with a Master's (in Engineering) qualify one for an engineer? |

Tiimmy: First off, I don't see how a person without a 1st degree in an Engineering related course, will be admitted (in any institution world wide) for a Masters degree program in Engineering.
That being said, COREN is no more singled out (as it was some years ago). Now you have to be a member of Nigerian Society of Engineers for a period before proceeding with COREN. NSE however is a function of your 1st degree in an Engineering Field. So, I really don't see how you can be COREN registered without a 1st degree in Engineering.. This is just my humble opinion; try and do more research.

Kx: OP, for most of the big insurance coys in Nigeria and even the big 3 audit firms, they all bring in actuarists from SA and Europe when their jobs is actuary related. In two particular insurance coys in know personally in Lagos, actuarists terms and conditions are a ,little as sweet as those that work offshore in oil rigs. The info I gave above is what I have experienced first hand even within the last 3 months. That apart, your future especially in Naija is not tied to your cos of study. Last time I checked, even the nos 1 citizen did not read pub admin or the likes but Zoology. Key :Donot "commonise" any cos of study. Rather, follow your heart passionately. I'm grateful, thanks. |

Politics › Re: For The Doubting Thomases! Its Now Official! They Are Now In The Open! by Ehimenboy(m): 4:39pm On Nov 26, 2014 |
hifaif: Exactly, bro. These two religions are the reason why Nigeria and most of Africa are in a mess. People need the light of knowledge. They need to free themselves from those scammers that call themselves men of dog (sorry, God)
And these dogs (sorry, gods) of men will never want this country to get better. They are profiting from the mess. Imagine a country were things work well and employment rate is high, there won't be a lot of people in their churches every Sundays or Friday nights You're getting it all wrong. Have you forgotten America started with "In God We Trust" while they grew in all ramifications? Aren't these religons broadly practised in Saudi Arabia and Italy? Then you can go on to mention tithes and offerings. Where in the universe does anything gets in a "mess" because it GIVES--in any form. Giving to your environment NEVER makes you poor/wretched. Giving and receiving is a law of nature! By the way, is it not the members of this 'enlightened' group who share their unclad pictures promoting all forms of sexual immorality all over the globe? If every other person chooses to go their path, what then becomes of our world? Morals in clothing 'd become history, isn't it? Moreover, they believe in God (Check out the lyrics of artistes with them) and obviously, you don't believe in Him. So, if you are thinking of 'supporting' them, you're on the wrong path. I wonder how religion is responsible for fence-scaling leaders. Religion probably also taught them to make elections a do-or-die affair. I must commend however, your being able to decipher they're out to bring down Christianity. You're very correct by that. Just one more thing: find out their modus operandi before throwing your arms around them! A literate 'd do that, at least. |

What is supposed to be on a website other than information on regulations, mode of operation and activities (past and present)?
