I am proudly esan. I hail from Uromi, Esan North east. Any one curious about esan people, we are just too much. The language is musical and we open, friendly and a lil' crafty but na wetin person need to survive for naija. No be so?! ![]() Yes o! Esan people, who knows this dish, omiebe? (did i get the spelling?) It's also called black soup, I know it should be for food section but I am just wondering cos I need the name of the leaf used in the soup bad bad. ![]() |
No one answered my question, can bitter leaf be parboiled to remove the bitter taste? |
@ poster, congrats. Almost asked you dash me your visa if you didn't want to use it but your decision is okay. Good luck ![]() |
190:Bros, which visa? There are many types of visa. Be careful, you seem desperate and it might affect you. Calm down, do research online and logically make your decision. |
Thank you kind sir. |
@ debosky thanks for the thread you recommended, i find it more useful. You did your medicals in Canada. I am curious to get info from a Nigerian that has done medicals in Nigeria. I would like to know how much it costs approximately. @ Delta007, you are right the process has changed. I am applying under the fast track. Wish I had chosen Sasketchewan but i chose Edmonton not cos of the oil boom but cos of the name. ![]() |
I am new at nairaland and can think of only this way to get a message to you. You locked my topic and recommended another thread for me. I had checked out that thread before posting my topic and it did not help me. It's mostly students on that thread and i was asking about people(nigerians) applying to IMMIGRATE. Student visa and immigration visa are 2 very different things with 2 very different visa offices. Just to register my protest. |
@synthase, you are lucky. I wrote the test at Events centre on 8th may and i received a text today for another test on 29th may at 9am. For why now? As if the stress of the 1st onw was not bad enough. Is it a mistake? Are they confused or did they cancel the last test? Abeg i don tire. Them think say e easy to dey stand under hot sun because of one job ![]() |
@ poster, i think it depends on where you're going and what profession you are in. Sadly other countries do not recognize nigerian qualifications so to get a better job than the ones you have listed, you have to get a degree in the country you are going to . Do your research well before you travel but bear in mind that you might have to do some menial jobs to survive first. No escaping that unless you are carrying plenty money there. ![]() |
Hi,I am would like Nigerians who are processing Canadian immigration visa (Federal skilled worker, temporary work visa, etc) to please share their experiences and views. I am paticularly interested in experiences regarding interviews, medicals and the Accra visa office. I am about to apply for Federal skilled worker. Also nigerians living in Canada, how that place be? |
@ Dynamic3, To be blunt and honest, i don't think that relationship is going anywhere. How can a man sleep with other girls and say that no feelings will be attached. Sure, men (and women) can sleep with other people with no strings attached but even so one day he will jam one girl that will make him feel something. After all he has to be physically attracted to a girl before he sleeps with her, is that not a feeling? Like spike said, you are young, you have your whole life ahead of you. Focus on what is important and don't let one naija guy take you for a ride. Would he like it if you start sleeping with other guys? |
I love bitter leaf, sadly my husband is averse to it. I heard that some people remove the bitterness by parboiling the leaf. Is this possible? I only know about washing it thoroughly to remove the bitter taste. To y'all that don't like bitter leaf, you are missing. Try bitter leaf sauce with boiled yam . |
Wisdom is profitable to direct. If you're close to the man in question, you can talk to him ONCE! But your husband is your head and since he has restrained you,you must obey. For me, I would talk to the man once if i was close to him, if he doesn't listen then I leave him in the hand of God. If this friend was a woman, i would sing advice to her until she terminates our friendship (if she is hell bent on cheating). But reporting a cheating man/woman to the spouse is playing with fire. |
Though I am very much against divorce, it is the only option left for the couple. Your friend violated all the marriage rules and i do not see the guy taking her back so she should give her husband his divorce and walk away. For all who read this, involving third parties in your marriage is a big no-no, especially not your family. They tend to have long memories even after fires have been put out. |
