Hmm my story,
I went for ante natal as usual last week tuesday,actually i limped there(I felt so tired!). In taking my vitals(urine and bp),the nurse noticed protein in my urine and I registered a bp of 180/100. Doctor said I was going nowhere since i was showing signs of pre-eclampsia. Thank God my bag was already packed. I was told I needed to do emergency CS to get the baby out so I don't go into full eclampsia. That's where my memory ended. Now the bits and pieces I remember plus the ones my husband and mum told me goes as follows: according to them I used my 2 legs to walk into the theatre and i was given anaesthesia and the baby was brought out at 11:30pm. Just as I was coming round I began convulsing. I convulsed 4-5 times and the battle to save my life began. Eventually I was stabilized. People,I delivered my baby on tuesday and didn't fully wake up and get myself till thursday evening. I must have frightened my husband. Of course when I woke up I did not know I had had my baby. When I saw him,I stared and stared and stared. He looked so small and people are yabbing me that he's very big I thank God for my life and that of my baby. I did not know that one can be so tired,chai! In fact if you dont hear from me for a week,no vex.

@ejadamen, thanks, when I saw the doctors they believe that my pprom was caused by an infection rather than an incompetent cervix because i was in labour for about five hours. they said this was normal as i did not need to dilate fully to deliver at 24weeks. Did your waters break too? were you in labour aswell? Now about the cerclage, what is the risk of infection from the procedure? Am a really a candidate for cerclage? The doctor says they do not diagnose incompetent cervix after one pprom so having the cerclage is based on my decision. I would take any precaution to prevent another occurence. what other precautions are you taking alongside the cerclage? Thanks a lot.

Vex not Olamide, I gave birth to my baby on Mar 29th last week tuesday so I'm just seeing this today. To answer your question,yes my waters broke when i had an MC after which i went into labour 2 days later. The pregnancy was 20wks. I decided to have the cerclage put in,wasn't taking any chances. Risk of infection from th procedure? It's not a major one and there shouldn't be any risk of infection. Other precautions I took was no intercourse,no lifting heavy things,no driving ,no stressing myself generally.

@ all,yes o! I have delivered a baby boy. Mehn! Women are trying! My case is a testimony. I will come back and give the full gist. I'm still staring in amazement at my son. He looks just like his daddy I bless God for His mercies and the miracle He gave me.

Arly first of all relax. Don't dwell on the negative or you'll get all worked up. Thank God you have been advised to pray so pray. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. I'm sure your prayers will be answered. Your son will not die.Perish that thought. Don't allow the devil to use fear to destroy your joy. Be positive,pray,confess the Word of God,sing songs of praise,be joyful and watch your son grow and outlive you. The devil is a liar. Peace be unto you.

The bleeding didnt stop. Went 4 scan yesterday n it was missed or incomplete abortion cried my eyes out cos it was painful 2 hear it doc said i av 2 undago evacuation n i did dat 2day it was an xperience i n husband will neva 4get.pls remember in prayers tanks 2 all

I am so sorry about that. Please take heart. Try to find out why the bleeding happened. Grieve,mourn and move on. You will smile and carry your own baby in Jesus name.

@ejademen, Congratulations!! your testimony will be permanent in Jesus name. U're one of the reasons I joined this forum cos i think my case is similar to what u went through. I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow to discuss what went wrong but from personal research, I am thinking I would need the cerclage next time. I wouldn't mind any info that could help. Thanks.

Like you said,it's for strong heads. I definitely won't try it.

It's the combo that is amazing me. Do you really take that after childbirth? Isn't sapele water alcoholic? Doesn't the alcohol get into your breast milk?

^^I soak Scent leaves + Bitter leaves + uda in kai-kai(sapele water) and sip it often.It does wonders to my tummy . . .For strong heads ONLY please.
I also use lots for my white soup.

Hello Goom,though I might not be able to feel exactly what you're feeling,I want to encourage you not to lose hope. God is right there beside you. Please do not give up. I do not wish this for you but let me share a testimony with you. An elderly woman came up to testify about her baby whom she had after 18yrs of marriage. I couldn't believe my ears and I did not want to imagine what she must have been through. It is well. You will carry your children one day soon. God bless.

Monday update:I feel like I've been pregnant forever. I thank God for everything.

Hi Moduperola,no need to fret.My feet began swelling from 20wks. Don't mind those people asking you questions. I've heard all sort and tried different things. I've put my feet up,walked about etc nothing helps. My feet are swollen. I haven't tried massaging because my swollen feet hurts. Everyone is different and pregnant women manifest differently so please don't worry,enjoy yourself and wait for your bundle of joy.

Lol @ Modath. I did same to get registered as well. Spent less than 30mins getting registered.

B-2 rolls of bread,1 fried egg and a mug of lipton tea,no sugar
L-Beans and ijebu garri
D@7pm-120g indomie,mixed veggies and 1 boiled egg
10pm-1.5 serving of rice,stew and 1 pc of boiled fish
Water-over 3L
Exercise-some walking and kegels.

8am - 3 fist sized rolls of bread,margarine and lipton tea(no sugar)
1pm - boiled yam and garden egg sauce
3:30pm - boiled yam and 1 fried egg
7:45pm - eba and egusi soup and a piece of pomo
Water - def more than 3L
Exercise - walking 30mins
