Can you direct your questions at aloy emekraze who started the thread asking why Igbos fear amala.

Did the Yorubas say they're forcefeeeding amala to Igbo people? huh

Or do you see anyone beside emekraze losing sleep over who does or doesnt like amala?

What exactly are you trying to prove here? angry
hmmm, its kind'a funny when a guy loses his job and can't provide for his family as he use to, his wife starts acting out or even leaves him, now did she marry him for his money? i clearly remember tons of NL girls here that preach "no money no romance" . why should a guy keep u if u loose ur shape?
It has long been agreed that some people marry for the wrong reasons. Whether male or female, one should not marry for beauty, money ,  these things are needed but should not be the foundation on which a marriage is laid. Haba! The girls preaching 'no money no romance' i wish them good luck, they'll eventually find what they are looking for.  grin Same thing for the men looking for eternally shapely wives.  grin These people IMO have no business being married. Marriage is much more than that or are the vows just taken for fun?  angry If a man/woman wants to dump their partner because of a factor that is not permanent, then why did they marry? This is what gives marriage a bad name.  sad

A woman losing her shape can be encouraged to gym and get back in shape. A man who loses his job will not be jobless forever. Like i said there's more to marriage than all these flimsy factors.

@ Chuck Bass, shocked shocked shocked angry
Are you married? In the situation you posted, di the guy marry the lady for looks or for companionship. Granted she should maintain her looks but you make it sound like he married for beauty. undecided

FoodRe: Ladies And Guys In The House, Share Your Cooking Expereinces! by Ejadamen(f): 12:58pm On May 30, 2009
I love cooking. Would love to know how to cook more dishes. It's usually a wonderful experience for me but i believe we all have our bad cooking days. Last week i prepared a pot of ogbono soup thank God it was a small pot. It turned out watery  embarassed cry. This is something i've been preparing for ages. Before i could think of what to do, my husband walked in looking very hungry. But he ate it sha grin. But when i tried to reduce the water it turned salty cry cry
Question, is it true nothing fried should go into ogbono soup?  undecided Maybe that contributed to the disaster. I used fried fish.

But i have my share of nice experiences like when i am making fried rice kiss kiss kiss kiss it just gets better and better.

@ poster, what have you done that you are crying for help? Dishes? Washing toilet? Swept the house? What? And you are shouting, you know the solution to your issue. But bros, you no dey shame? Did you marry her to be a house help? You should be her strength in this her time of need and she'll do the same for you when your turn comes. That is what marriage is about.

But come o, i hope this is not how you grumble to her while you're doing the house work. Cheer up! cheesy

i have a friend who toasted his wife best friend and chief bride's maid on thier wedding day. He even grab by the corner and squeez her breast on the same wedding day. Men's lust cannot be controlled marriage or no marriage.
This is so not true, are you now saying that men are slaves to their lust? That they have no self-discipline or self-control when it comes to lust? I beg to differ. It is a thing of the mind. Yes, the sexual urge is strong but it CAN be controlled.

@ topic, i agree with tpiah, there must be some level of boredom but there are ways to get round it. Nothing helps like communication, prayer and marrying your friend This cannot be overstated. Marriage is hard work but hard sweet work. The fruits of that work is too sweet. Both the husband and wife have to work to spice things up and make the marriage interesting. Also when you marry someone you can't live without, boredom only makes you think of how to make things more interesting. Instead of boredom being a problem, it becomes a challenge to make a marriage better.

And i say this with experience. I dated my husband for three years, there is nothing we cannot talk and pray about and it has been a great help.
FamilyRe: Why Do Marriages Fail? by Ejadamen(f): 2:56pm On May 29, 2009
Because people marry for the wrong reasons e.g. money, sex, getting old etc. One thing that amazes me is when i see couples who are not friends with each other and/or who don't trust each other. After the thrill of sex is gone, what are they going to live on? The phrase shine your eye is very important before marriage. Also i just cannot comprehend why a person will marry someone they do not love huh huh

MRbrownJAY:
you got a taste from your own medicine. how can you be mad when YOU CHEATED ON HER TOO?! now you are both on the same page, she knew about your cheating and NOW you know about hers.
you have no grounds to win that argument, better go, sit down and swallow it like a man.
what are you going to say?! "baby you cheated on me!!!!!!!!" and she will answer: "yes and so did you, now we are even!!!!
do not do to others what you wouldnt want people do to you
As usual I'm loving BrownJay's replies.

This is too funny, a girl cheats and you want to fry her but when a guy does it it's normal abi? The only issue i have with the wife is that she should have come clean before marriage because one way or another, the past always pops up.
@ poster, it's in the past, forgive as long as she's not doing the same thing in marriage.
@ topic it's a hard question to answer but past is past and should be left there.
