Setoop: it could be nigacomsat, because it has those channels too . If I want to do nigacomsat, I first track Dstv because it seems to be the simplest to track and one easily see already installed dish around as a guide, after getting Dstv, lower down your dish, you will get nigacomsat, then adjust the dish to increase your signal . As at my last search, most of the interesting channels are no more showing but all mbc channel that is there are still working. He said scrambled channels. 28.2e not Nigcomsat. Thank you. |

Science/Technology › 2018 Scientists Predict Earthquake For Equatorial Belt by Ejike3(op): 1:25pm On Nov 19, 2017 |
As Earth's rotation slows down, scientists predict more intense earthquakes ibtimes.co.uk Nov 19, 2017 7:13 AM The earthquakes are likely to hit the equatorial belt that is heavily populated. https://d.ibtimes.co.uk/en/full/1647887/iran-earthquake.jpg?w=400Geologists have warned that deadly earthquakes could become more frequent in the coming year and that they are likely to be caused by the slowing down of the Earth's rotation. Scientists, who presented their research to the Geological Society of America recently, have found that variations in the speed of the Earth's rotation could set off intense seismic activity, particularly in the tropical-equatorial regions where over a billion people live. Changes in the Earth's rotation are small, measuring in milliseconds, reports the Guardian, but enough to release vast amounts of underground energy. The link between seismic activity and the planet's rotation was brought out in a paper by Roger Bilham of the University of Colorado in Boulder and Rebecca Bendick of the University of Montana in Missoula. "The correlation between the Earth's rotation and earthquake activity is strong and suggests there is going to be an increase in numbers of intense earthquakes next year," said Bilham. Bilham and Bendick, for their research, studied all the major earthquakes that registered a magnitude of 7 and above since 1900. All the major earthquakes that have happened over the last century have been well recorded, said Bilham. Using this data, they identified five periods that registered higher large earthquakes when compared with other periods. "In these periods, there were 25 to 30 intense earthquakes a year," he said. The other periods identified only averaged 15 quakes a year, he added. Further investigation into these periods of high seismic activity resulted in the identification of a few correlations. They found that soon after periods when the Earth's rotation decreased in speed slightly, there were a large number of intense earthquakes. "The rotation of the Earth does change slightly – by a millisecond a day sometimes – and that can be measured very accurately by atomic clocks," noted Bilham. Bilham and Bendick also found that there were periods of five-year stretches when the Earth's rotation slowed down over the last century by a millisecond. These periods were followed by periods of massive earthquakes. "The Earth is offering us a five-year heads-up on future earthquakes," said Bilham. One of the Earth's periodic slowdowns began four years ago and by next year, "we should see a significant increase in numbers of severe earthquakes. We have had it easy this year. So far we have only had about six severe earthquakes. We could easily have 20 a year starting in 2018." It is unclear why decreases in the speed of rotation should have this effect on the surface, but geological activity deep in the core could possibly be the cause of both slowing down as well as earthquakes. Most of the earthquakes are also likely to happen around the equatorial regions, said Bilham. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/earths-rotation-slows-down-scientists-predict-more-intense-earthquakes-1647918 |

Reference: There is nothing wrong with an armed policeman out of uniform. There are lots of circumstances that can put him in that situation. What counts is a legal, alternative, visible and credible means of identification which should be made compulsory despite the dresscode. Various security agencies should adapt the use of badges, crests and tags to identify themselves while out in public to prevent unwanted incidences. Try to comment with your senses next time. |

Noo. This is not secured for now. there is a lot of loopholes on it. No provision for pin or password. Anyone can trade with all the money in your account if they get access to your phone or SIM.
There are still issues with the BVN. For an instance, UBA enrolled me on BVN with someone's name and phone number. They managed to correct my name but the phone number is difficult for them to change till this moment. Owner of the phone number can conveniently operate my account with his or her phone number. |

Politics › Military Launches Uniform by Ejike3(op): 8:20am On Mar 01, 2016 |
Olawunmi Ojo
The Nigerian military has inaugurated the harmonised military desert and woodland camouflage uniforms to check the proliferation of camouflage uniforms across the country.
With the new uniforms, all arms of the Nigerian military would now wear the same camouflage uniform and have a common system of identification.
What would differentiate soldiers now would be the tags on the left side of the chest, signifying whether the soldier is an airforce, army or naval officer.
Speaking at the launch in Lagos on Monday, the Air Officer Commanding, Logistics Command,Nigerian Air Force, Air-Vice Marshal Muhammadu A. Muhammed, said that over the years, various armed services of Nigeria had used different shades of camouflage for military operations and exercises.
“Management has adopted the desert camouflage and woodland camouflage for our armed forces. While the desert camouflage is designed to blend with the terrain in the northern part of Nigeria, the woodland camouflage is adopted for the terrain in the South,” he said. http://www.punchng.com/military-launches-uniform/ |

Please stop all this trash. My accounts are restricted today because my enrolled BVN number could not be traced by all the UBA managers. Not even with the information I gave them or with my finger prints, then how can a scammer get access to my account. Pls I need a scammer to help me trace my BVN number. BVN is a fraud itself if they can't identify me by my finger prints. |

Business › Re: BVN: Banks To Deactivate Unregistered Accounts As Deadline Expires Friday by Ejike3: 1:38pm On Oct 30, 2015 |
CBN Says Account Holders Can Access Cash As BVN Deadline Ends Today Contrary to the claims by Deposit Money Banks (DMB) that there would be total restriction on accounts without Bank Verification Number (BVN), after the deadline today, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has clarified that account holders can still have access to cash transactions while the e-banking transactions would be restricted.
The BVN is an initiative of the CBN and the Bankers’ Committee, launched on February 14, 2014. It is a unique identifier for each bank customer across the financial industry, making it possible to build and track customer financial history and activity.
The CBN had last year issued a directive to all banks to ensure that their customers register for BVN before June 30th, 2015, so as to protect all e-banking transactions from fraudulent attacks.
Meanwhile, the Apex bank has said there would be no extension of deadline and that enough time has been given to customers to enroll for the BVN.
A visit by BusinessDay to some banks operating in Lagos revealed long queues of customers in the banking halls rushing to enroll for the BVN before the deadline.
Before now, messages hasdbeen flying from Deposit Money Banks in the country warning customers about account restriction after the June 30 deadline.
A text message from one of the banks read: “dear customer, accounts without BVN will soon be restricted. Enroll for/submit your BVN at any branch from Monday to Saturday”.
There had been claims that 62 million bank accounts may face restriction for failure to register. Reacting to this, Ibrahim Muazu, director, corporate communications department, CBN, said this was an exaggeration. He noted that many individuals and corporates do have more than one account and some in two deposit money banks, for example current, savings, domiciliary among others.
“Holders and a person requires only one BVN linked to all his accounts in any number of banks”, he said in chat with BusinessDay.
“Without BVN, you still have access to your cash but services/facilities (internet/mobile banking, loans etc) will have some restrictions”, Muazu said further.
Currently, only about 14 million out of about 76 million bank accounts have so far complied.
Seyi Ademosun, project manager, BVN, Nigerian Inter-bank Settlement Systems Plc (NIBSS) last week said the number of registered customers has been projected to increase to 20 million by the end of this month. http://businessdayonline.com/2015/06/cbn-says-account-holders-can-access-cash-as-bvn-deadline-ends-today/#.VZJSVvlViko |
