Hello Baba BIGJOE I am happy for your home coming . You really inspired many people. Years back, I thought satellite TV is for the rich till my search for free TV hit your Thread, and that is exactly how I came to Nairaland. We hope you'll remain with us, and give us more advice any time we need them. WELCOME HOME!!! ![]() |
You have to give full detail like what message you see on your monitor. RAM failure as well as bad VGA can prevent your system from sending signal to the monitor. You have to check your Monitor and it's signal cable. Make some checks and post your findings. |
go to interswitch website, zenith or UBA site for the software download. |

Too bad. ![]() Try hidding your IP address ![]() |
Alphizo:@Alphizo As the moderator said, see the post below for detail How Do I Connect Two Laptops Together Wirelessly https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-33411.0.html |
That 500m will be ok for the office. I think that should be 500m radius. It is mainly for the office. Thanks alot. |
@ Pitodenz Good job bros. Those channels and those mensioned by Toxnija are what FREE2VIEW reported on their site as what to expect very soon. Check Free2View for more info. |
Unlocking has something to do with the phone and not the SIM. The SIM cannot work on another phone, but may be some software may unlock their phone. Modifying the SIM may render it useless. |
What about the coverage? |
tobs:@ Tobs I don't work for them, we only use their service in our office and my brother has their phone. Click here for their tariff on internet services. |
gboyi:@Gboyi Read my post well. I don't think am the one who lied. You have your proof and I have mine ( http://www.visafone.com.ng/aboutus.html ) I don't think your company did all the installations. |
@ Enitan You know my problem with W3A - language. Not every body understand French, at least I don't. I wish I could, most of the times I miss nice programs on NSS7 because of my inability to understand 'bonju'. toxnaija:@Toxnija You said they are broadcasting from France; Are they going to broadcast those channels in English or usual French? If they are going to broadcast with French, do they have something like subtitle in mind? Like subtitle in English? |
Go to Ikeja computer village. VGA card that has TV output are many there. Two years ago, I was looking for VGA card and they sold an AT-RADON VGA card to me for =N=1,800; it has TV output (RF) and it increased the speed of my Beachead game. I don't know exactly what you need. If it is not there, it MAY likely not be anywhere in Nigeria. |
ramonmulti:From what I'v learnt, I don't think I will need all those items at the same time. What exactly is the difference between the Router and the Access Point? Are the both required for the same setup? I like your prices. I'll give you a call later but I like to get some info on those products like their range or distance they cover. |
badaru1:Help us to try the magic decorder on Ku please. I wouldn't be surprised if it works. |
Thanks moderator. I will get back after the installation. |
From what they said, they bought over the Cellcom. I think that is what helped them in expansion. ![]() |
Do you have provision for personal or home use? |
Thanks alot. Is it going to affect our internet connection speed if we share it free without restriction? |
Thank you so much, I have learnt enough from your explanations. The D-LINK we are using is not wireless. Now I can check the price of D-LINK LAN wireless router. From what you are saying, it means that we have to get wireless lan for each desktop as they did not come with thier own wireless like laptops. |
The D-LINK contains only 8 tarminals. |
The internet connection in our office is shared using D-LINK LAN, most of the computers are connected, but some offices are not connected because of the limitations like number of terminals on the LAN, distance and other things. The management agreed to expand the network without much cost. They are looking in the direction of Wireless to connect both desktops and laptops in the offices. Kindly help us out on the requirements for the little project. The coverage may not be that much. I basically need an advice on the Accessories we need, specifications and estimate cost. |
@ Heartsocle I am intrested in one of the products on that your site, I'll give you a call later. |
peacenlove:Can it really see through a glass window? I was told that sat signals cannot pass through objects including glass. |
Feco, update your profile to avoid gender question and others. |
@ All Great work. @ Enitan, Concerning what we discussed on w3, some channels are coming up. These are the channels, apart from MSNBC & GOD, I don't really know their names. I attached the logos below.
|
Is it the one they called DFTV? |
Things we could not understand. |
Unless confirm by an insider, I don't think they are using satellite for now, if not, they would have been in all part of Nigeria. The current States they cover are: LAGOS ABUJA ABIA ANAMBRA IMO AKWA IBOM CROSS RIVER ENUGU DELTA RIVERS EBONYI KANO OGUN Check out thier coverage areas on http://www.visafone.com.ng/map.html More states coming soon. |
Yes my brother bought the phone for N2,500 as promo price. If you want to buy visafone, buy it with their phone, DON"T BUY ONLY VISAFONE SIM CARD. I don't even think they will sell the SIM alone to you. I personally removed the visafone SIM card and my own SIM from my phone. The result is that Visafone sim cannot work with my GSM phone and all the GSM sim cards cannot work on the Visafone. |
