Olatunde O:
Thanks Ejike for your contribution. I have more questions to ask.
Apart from the monthly subscription(7000naira/mth) is there a set up fee, are there gagdets to be brought. I'm using a desktop PC, i hope i won't have to buy a telephone box like starcomms b/4 i can be connected (since it's broadband i don't think a phonebox is necessary OR WHAT DO You THINK)
What are their procedures? Would u have to go down to their office at VI, ?
The data card is like most USB flash drive, you can plug it in your USB port on a desktop or laptop. Phone box is not required.
The one we are using is EVDO, they have both 1x and EVDO.
Check it out on their website http://www.visafone.com.ng/devices.html for the picture and other infomation.
I attached the picture below.

HealthRe: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Ejike3: 12:26pm On Apr 18, 2008
Please doctor,

My friend can not sleep peacefully, I have been leaving with this my friend for two years without any proble until few months ago he started complaining of dreaming every night and having headache almost everyday. He said he dream every night and most of the time act aggressively in the dream and I heard him twice talking while sleeping, trying to solve a problem.

I heard him saying 'if the capital of the state is not in the book, then it is a new state'.

Is it Sleep disorder?
What can he do?

Visafone is cool, the speed is good.
I think it is fast because there is no much conjestion. Not much people are using it for now.

That is what we are using in my office, it is plug and play USB type for one computer but we share it to 7 computers (don't tell them).

Has anyone come across a dish mover for 90cm dish in Nigeria?
I have seen it on the internet and i am looking forward to have 1 or 2.
Thanks
It's going to reduce the number of dishes and make our roof top to look neat.
Can you show the picture or better still post the site.

Eutelsat W3A is at 7 degrees East, if you are in lagos , the Elevation should be 81 degrees, while Azimuth should be 149 degrees.

i.e
Position : 7 degrees East
Elevation : 81 degrees
Azimuth : 149 degrees.

How can i connect my FTA reciever to my pc and watch everything on the pc.
i don't have a TV,all i have is a pentium three pc and want to connect every thing to it.
plz help me i know u can ndo it.
@odaboy
you can also watch it on your pc if you have TV card installed on your pc. Using appropriate cable to connect the AV output of your reciever to Video and Audio input of the TV card on your pc.
I did it before, but the truth is that it is much more better to control your TV with remote control than using keyboard or mouse,  though TV capture card comes with remote control.

I was playing with my little cousin, we're talking about Father xmas and he ask me one question that kept me thinking. He said, uncle where is Mother christmas? I want to visit her.

I don't know if they've asked you such question. Don't you think is time to introduce Mother xmas to the children?

I hope someone could help me to find an answer for my little cousin.

HAPPY XMAS TO ALL NAIRALANDERS.

@
The African Movies, teletoon and Fashion Tv on the intelsat 7/10 is not free. Is any body watching it free?

@ madskillz
I am not enthusiastic about football, I only watch it when I feel like. I don't even know the difference b/w Premiership, Championship and FA Cup, but for those that are looking for it, I think, I t-h-i-n-k that is what they said I was watching on Stv2 of NSS7ku. Our sports guys should check it and correct me.

@Nairaland FTA experts
Pls is it an illusion or what? Pointing at NSS 7, with same LNB, I recived signals from Intelsat 801 which supposed to be on 31degree west. Most of the the stations on the intel 801 are also on NSS7.
On intelsat 801, there are something like:
TV1 Gabon Tp-11.617Horizontal SR- 4340
TV2 Gabon same transponder - no audio/video
RTN Gabon same transponder - no audio/video
STV1 Tp-11.610 horizontal SR- 4051
Ghana TV Tp-11635 vertical SR-2850
there are other stations too. I was in the south-east Nigeria when I recieved them, Enugu to be precise, dish size 90cm.

Hello nairalanders

While blind scanning with STRONG reciever and 90cm dish yesterday, NTA Plus surfaced on Tp 12.522 and Tp 12.523 of Intelsat 7/10 they are free. I was about putting down the Symble-Rate when PHCN ceased the power supply. Though one of the NTA Plus displayed no audio initially, but it got restored latter.
