@iyomomoreloaded sorry I just saw yorur question. I've been offline for aa while. I used ventolin till I was 32weeks. Wish you all the best. |
It looks like samoyed. I hope people who know more about dogs would help you. |
Thanks for your prompt response@akorkor,sugah and cool1. @sugah:he says he just wants his son to have a christian name, and i'm being selfish by insisting on my name as the 2nd name. All his other sibling are in intertribal marriages too and have both tribe names as 1st and 2nd names. His mom has never been cool with that, now she wants to have her way through my husband. It might sound irrelevant to some pple, but it's painful to me,very very. I'm beginning to ask myself why I didn't just marry within my fold. |
Now this name thing is bringing serious issues btw us. He said i'm a woman and have no say in a child's name cos d child is his. A child I suffered to have after 4yrs of ttc and 3mc's o. His mom has been backing him up too. I asked my mom to talk to him,cos my parents are so dissapointed@him. He told my mom not to interfere in our lives. My dad who never really liked his tribe is now saying he regrets accepting my hubby. For 2onths now,our home has been something else. I am so unhappy, especially as its his mom's wish he's putting before mine. I don't know what to do. My parents have boycotted him,but he's still insistent on this name. I've begged him, threatened him, still he's adamant. What do I do? Do I go and do the birth cert myself and put d names I want and face d consequences? He's planning to do it next week. I can't stand that christian 2nd name. HELP!!!!! |
Hello mamas, pls I need ur advice, esp d mamas who are in intertribal marriages. My husband and I are frm different parts of the country.......all along during our pregnancy,he told me the name he wanted for the baby,i was ok with it. I told him mine too. We agreed on his name as 1st name, mine as 2nd name. Both are native names. Shortly before we put to bed,he told me to pick a nice xtian name that has a good meaning. I did and he loved the name. Now after delivery, all of a sudden,he decided that his own name comes 1st,the christian name comes 2nd and my own name 3rd. I had always wanted my children to have both tribe names so that as they grow in life,evry1 knows they re intertribal products,so I rejected his new idea |
@chanbaby.....ur case is similar to mine...the difference is my sister in law is not trying to conceive. well with the help of my husband,i hid my pregnancy. When we have family gatherings...my husband makes excuses for me. when they have to come to our house,we make excuses...i'm working this weekend,i have a wedding,i'm attending a frend's baby dedication. etc. They finally saw me when I was 8months gone. They came impromptu, even though they said they suspected all along..i had achieved my aim. About relationships....i'm not overly nice to them.i just keep a civil relationship with them. |
@sugah:i had mine@lagoon nd sincerely d nxt day I was up and ok. People who came to visit me didn't know I had cs. The pains was there, but nothing u can't bear. @haryourlar:pronatal is sold in pharmacies here in Nigeria. I used it during my pregnancy and i'm still using it now. Pregnacare used to make me vomit. Pronatal was better for me. Evening mothers! |
Hey ma'ams! Pls,mamas dat use breast pump...kindly recommend a good electric one, that is reasonably priced and if possible where I can get it. Tired of this manual.....biko don't read and pass ooooo |

Faithisallihave and sisiNini;thanks a lot. I was truly worried. I feel a lot better now. God bless u. He's gradually adding weight. Thanks again. |
Hey pple.....this vigilante thing is beyond real.!i'm sorry BS is coming late, but as they say better late than never......my Edd was originally 5th of July.I had high bp,that seemed uncontrollable. Dr tried different bp drugs. when we clocked 37weeks,baby weighed 2.07kg which was small...so dr said he would bring him out via cs when he clocks 38weeks....reasons being that he had growth restriction, cos of the bp,2..i've had a previous surgery for fibroid, then he said baby was too small to struggle through labour. when he clocked 37weeks and 5days,i did another scan, baby was still same weight,so dr decided to bring him out, hubby went home to bring my load. I was admitted and has cs the next day.Hubby was with me in the theatre. Baby came out weighing 2.15kg. Dr sayas he'll add weight with time. He's small, but his bones re so strong,he eats like......and I didn't know I could love ny1 like I love him. thank God once again....congrats to ll mama's that have put to bed....safe deliver to those remaining! |
Hello Blessed peeps! My long awaited baby arrived via cslast night! After 3 miscarriages and 4years of waiitng.....God has shown up for me! mother and son doing very well. God be praised! Safe delivery to the remaining mamas! Captain mitchy I don port oooo! |

Hallos mamas! @Gaily04 and Adaekube:pls has any of u bought the post partum band? If yes, when did you pay? Before or after delivery? I can't remember the name of the mama that introduced it to the forum. Pls kindly copy her,if u guys haven't bought. Just trying to b careful. I never do online buying. Thanks! A blessed week ahead to all mamas! |
Congrats Iyabetajos! Nothing bad ll happen to your son. He's here to stay. I don't have 1st hand experience, but my frend's daughter@32weeks survived and is fine nw. Just obey your doctor. All ll b well. After all ur challenges! I'm happy!! |
Captain mitchyy.....pele. God rest ur frend's soul. It is well. I am fine,nd i've been having braxton hicks too. Ma'am chiwendym...I pray God sorts u out and we'll read good news from u soon. Congrats Joysa nd Genyebere! Hi to all mommas! All is well! |

I pray for patience and more support for your hubby. Pele,be strong. Congrats to all mamas that have dropped. July mom's hiiiii! |
@ozycy.....did u use a private hosp? Then did sitting down make the labour more bearable? My pain threshold is -10. Sometime I jst sit down nd think of this labour thing. God help us all. |
On a lighter note mitchyy......how many Nigerian hospitals would allow you try other delivery methods asides lying down.....i read about it too and when I talked to my dr about it,he just laughed it off. Omowunmigan....it is well with u. pls take Dr's advice,in as much i'm a faith person,Dr's advice should not be joked with to avoid infection. Continuing cyclogest ll keep your uterus closed. Cyclogest has been known to keep uterus closed even when a pregnancy is not progressing. Google it. May God teachh u dway to go.my prayers are with u. Evening mamas |
Congrats Olubankemi, rofemiguwa and nazablossom. God keep the babies! |
@sugah;the glucose tolerance test is part of ante natal care in the hospital I use. I did mine when I was 29weeks. |
Thanks mamas! @Gaily04:i take cucumber,i'll add the green.thanks.@zaynie:asides the no phone;i think I try to abide by the others. I actually do a scan every 3weeks.maybe i'll specifically ask for the amniotic fluid to be checked. Thanks ma'am. @Beremx:thanks. I will. Captain mitchy;thanks, trusting God to come thru for me. Minyl;i'm 31weeks and still spitting. God help us. Congrats to all mamas that have delivered. Cheers guys! |
@ma'am zaynie,i 'm fine. Having bp issues though. Dr is suggesting taking out the baby after 34weeks,if my bp is still high. Nt particularly cheering news....what do u think? @mumgb,i agree with sugah...cyclogest is 6,500. I bought today@alpha pharmarcy. Its@2b alabi street, off toyin street ikeja. Iyabetajos:pele, what bp drugs are u on? I'm on aldomet, nifedipine and aspirin. doesnt seem to be working..... all is well. |

@mummyejire:thanks...i'll try and locate alpha pharmacy. @olubankemi;thanks,i've been on it since my 8th week or thereabout. My dr said he doesn't want 2 take chance, hence the 28weeks,that if after 28weeks,i stop and anything happens(God4bid) baby can be saved. thanks a a lot:mummyejire nd olubankemi;i appreciate. Happy sunday to all mamas! |
@olubankemi:pls how long did your Dr say u'll b on cyclogest? The thing keeps getting more expensive. I bought a new pack yesterday@N7,300. God help us. My own dr originally said 24weeks,but now extended to 28weeks. I see ure abt 30weeks,so just wondering how long u'll use it? |
@omojudy:Amen to ur prayers! I use Lagoon Hospital nw. I did that cerclage@13weeks last time;wonder y ur dr was waiting till 16? Cerclage is effective if ur cervix is weak or incompetent.cheers! @olubankemi;d mess that comes out after using d cyclogest thru d front is nt d progesterone,it's vegetable fat;according to my dr. So asides d mess, ure nt loosing nything. |
@Omojudy; yes I am based in Lagos, but no I didn't do cerclage this time around. My doctor suggested it but,I declined, cos I did it last time and it didn't work, and he couldn't prove to me that my cervix was incompetent. I'm just on cyclogest, ventolin and aspirin. I bled sometimes in week 12. Asides that i've been fine. So excited as i've neva come this far. I know God ll perfect it. God ll come true for us all. @mitchyy:yup i'm team july, told u already joor. Pele I hp d cramps have subsided? Pls watch what u eat. |
@rejoice03: I think u shld try and make ur hubby see reasons with ur dr,since he prescribed it. I have had 3 mc. D last one I was on progesterone injection from week 8 to week 13. I miscarried@week 15. This time around my dr placed me on cyclogest from week 6, he said I was goin to stop@20weeks,but @my last anc he decided I shld use it till week 28. I believe it's the cyclogest that God has used to bring me this far. I ve never gone beyond 16weeks even with a cerclage. I'm 23 now. Sorry for the long epistle,i just hope you can continue with the cyclogest. |
