Leave the NIN integration and verification for the Nigeria Immigration Service and the National Identity Management Commission. But make sure there's no disparity between the data you provided in the application form and NIN.

Permit me to quote a Nairalander who goes by the username, Skentelelady. "I explained earlier under her post. She only needs affirmation of name from high court not notorised. Then go before her capturing date with documents that carry the right names and arrangement. They will then do verification and capturing same day. I did both verification and capturing same day at shagamu.

The issue of wrong DOB was sorted with email sent to servicon thru one of the officer I we met there for a token. This was rectified b fore our capturing date too"

Yes. If you were born before 1992, an affidavit of birth from a competent court is accepted. If you were born after 1992, birth certificate from NPC or attestation of a birth certificate from NPC is accepted.

A photocopy of the data page of your guarantor's valid Nigerian passport is a MUST. It is not a must you go for enrolment/capturing on the exact date of your appointment. You cannot go for enrolment/capturing before your date of appointment. If you go, you will not be allowed in?

I presume you applied for your Nigerian e-passport in Lagos State. It will be difficult for a third party to collect it on your behalf because your fingerprints will be required to activate it (in room 10 at Alausa Passport Office. If you chose or choose there for your enrolment/capturing) and register it shortly thereafter. I could be wrong and I could be right. Therefore, I would suggest that you contact NIS itself for further clarification(s) on this matter.

NIBSS means Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc. Partner banks are all licensed banks in Nigeria including the CBN.
Try Sterling Bank, Zenith Bank or Union Bank.

My client lost his passport last year. He applied for another one at Alausa Passport Office by himself, and he collected it 4 months later (same year). He did not get any permission from Abuja to process his lost passport. The officer who handled your application is lying to you or has defrauded you, I am afraid.

My client lost his passport last year. He applied for another one at Alausa Passport Office by himself, and he collected it 4 months later. Today is 24/7/2023. If you had gone for enrollment/capturing on 7/7/2023 it would have changed.

Yes, it's necessary because by activating your e-passport it means border control authorities can confirm that the e-passport you're holding was issued by Nigeria or NIS and that the biographical and biometric information endorsed in the document at issuance has not subsequently been altered.

I wanted to do a fresh passport for my wife and 2 kids who are under the ages of 7 and a renewal for myself.

I would like to know the present cost implications for fresh applications and renewal.

Considering the DIY, would it be better since most of these 3rd part agents are just there to rip people off their hard earned money and leave you to your faith the moment they collect money from you.

Please anybody that recently did should help me with info on how to go about it aswel as the cost.
