kcswat:Hehe. Try that, and we shall shed your blood in very large #s. It was only recently I learned that the chaos of the early 1960s in the Western Region was caused by Awusa and Eboe political meddlers. We have not yet exacted our vengeance for that. |
Eziachi:Heh. I guess you don't know me very well. . . I am no more interested in a Republic of Southern Nigeria than I am in Nigeria sef. Hausa and Igbo is the same to me, I don't much care for either (in a political sense, not an individual, personal one. Obviously I have no issue with some random dude I meet in the street somewhere.) Regarding independence and such? If it can be done while placing my country on a firm financial footing, then I'd like to have it asap. However, it isn't quite clear that this is the case right now. Moral of the story is, don't make assumptions about another man's motivations and goals. You are welcome to finance NADECO, Igbo Haram, or any other organization you like. Just don't be offended if anyone pokes fun at you doing so ![]() |
Toaskarity:Sigh. Ya'll are too high-strung and sensitive. Like I said, relax |
jmaine:It will never happen. Will happen as soon as the Israelis and Palestinians learn to cohabitate peacefully. Or the bear and the wolf. Sometimes the best thing to do is to break up |
Toaskarity:Haba. So joke=ethnic bigotry now? Relax man |
Lucifa2015:A more likely outcome is: 1) The Hausa man wiped out utterly from southern Nigeria 2) Uncle Sam's attention will be drawn to our aboki friends, and they'll be harshly dealt with. I'm not saying it is impossible. But don't expect a mild response back. |
Kaduna State should be split in two, with the Hausa Muslim population transferred north and Christian non-Hausas transferred south. For Hausa Christians and Muslim non-Hausas, I guess they'll have to pick which of the two states they feel more comfortable being in. |
Pweety4me:hehe but if there are 20 hot girls, why would everyone pick ONE girl to toast? Makes no sense. Unless you mean 1 hot girl and 19 ordinary ones |
I don't think Nigerian dudes act like this. First of all, if there is a party and there is only ONE attractive girl and like 40 dudes, party'll be lame fast. Nobody likes sausage fests. And there are plenty of pretty girls, everybody won't be just fixated on one. |
For me the answer is no. But it is a less strong 'no' than it was about 5 years ago. I've seen some pretty smoking hot single mothers in the past couple of years, lol. |
Na wa o 3.1 million Igbos murdered in cold blood 20 years from now the figure will be revised to 10 million. . . probably more than the # of Igbos that even existed at that time I have to hand it to you guys, you are phenomenal at propaganda |
Mai Suya:I wonder where he got this 23 billion figure from. Oyo claimed Lagos has 20 billion, Lagos denied having that much. Hrm. . . |
what's the point in being an adult if you can't behave like kids sometimes ? Don't tell me you don't like such compounding. ibo Haram. . .ekt bear na wicked person sha !
![]() |
Women are much more likely to date a guy with kids than vice versa, yes? |
Cosign, a wonderful idea. I nominate myself to be Emperor of Nigeria (in case it isn't clear, I'm being sarcastic. Monarchy is a terrible idea. Unless I am chosen as the monarch.) |
hehe, this is kinda cool |
Chinese and Europeans will have an advantage so long we spend time wasting time on nonsense and believing in nonsense. |
Toaskarity:Relax man, it was a joke. Clearly there is no such thing as Igbo Haram. . . yet. Give Uwazuruike a few months (he might find a catchier name than Igbo Haram for his terrorist outfit though) |
Just curious to hear what Nairaland has to say about this. Would you consider dating/marrying someone who already has a child? |
Very sad. And yeah, this has not been the best of years to be a corps member, i guess |
hrm |
Who would have thought that Eziachi is a financier of the terrorist organization Igbo Haram Na wa o |
Why can't you stick to one username? Why do you create secondary accounts to insult people? Very strange behavior |
I'm not convinced any more that any of the Nigerian states cannot afford to pay this minimum salary. It might require you to compress the wage scale a bit, eliminate ghost workers, and cut out the fat elsewhere. But I guess easier to just ask for more cash from the FG than to take these steps. |
28,000 workers. 1.1 billion a month on salaries. So roughly on average N40k/head in worker salaries. Something seems a bit screwy here. Average salary is already double minimum wage, yet they cannot implement the minimum wage? Does this mean that most of these workers are well below the minimum, and a select few are taking home the lion's share of the money spent on worker pay? |
on JUNE 20, 2011 · in NEWS BY NDAHI MARAMA Despite the crackdown on Boko Haram, by security agencies in Maiduguri, the sect headquarters and the arrest of 58 of its members , after the bombing of Police Headquarters in Abuja, Thursday, seven suspected members of the sect, Sunday, shot and killed two people in two separate attacks in the Borno state capital. The attacks were at Gomari Bus Stop and Bama Road Wrestling area of town, leaving four people seriously injured. The suspects it was gathered rode on motorcycles with their AK47 rifles hidden under their ”flowing gowns’“, before firing several shots at the people playing porker under a nearby tree . An eyewitness and resident of Gomari ward, name withheld said: “The suspects fired several shots at 14 people playing porker under a Neem tree and killed Ngadda Waturfa, 45, a nurse with Molai General Hospital, on the spot, as others ran for dear lives. “When members of the Joint Military/Police Taskforce (JMPT) got to the scene, four people who sustained injuries were taken to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) by the security men.” Confirming the incidents, the Borno state police commissioner, Mohammed Abubakar told our reporter (on the phone) that, “our Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Gomari sent in a distress call on the attacks at the Bus Stop at 5pm.” “Some Boko Haram suspects opened fire at people playing porker under a tree, killed one on the spot, while four others sustained bullet wounds in their legs and arms and a few others were lucky to escape unhurt.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/06/boko-haram-strikes-again-kill-2-in-maiduguri/ |
Excellent move. |
@OP: I think you wrongly assumed that they lost interest because of your mom being American. I don't think people really care about those type of things. Chalk it up to a misunderstanding or coincidence. Btw, you are pretty cute, so shouldn't have any problem dating most guys. |
Time is ticking, Mr Aregbesola. Do not embarrass Ijeshaland (and those like myself who are connected by blood to it.) |
Eziachi:Who is going gaga here? Uwazuruike, contrary to your spinning of the situation, has made a threat, has he not? Or should we (foolishly) interpret all that has been said as harmless sarcasm and idle fancy? You have this very annoying habit of always blaming everything on anti-Igbo sentiment. Anyways, if he wants to introduce suicide bombing, then so long as he only does it in his SE zone (where the carnage will be primarily amongst his own people), not really my concern. I feel the same way about Boko Haram. . . if they had kept their violence only to Northern states like Borno, I wouldn't much care. |
MShittu:Nope, it doesn't count as his second term constitutionally. He can run again. He may have said himself that he cannot contest again. . . but do you really believe that? ![]() If he performs well and there is light in Nigeria in 2015, what sane person would want him to go? |
